Masterbeat has put together a package of club biggies here with no filler. This is a perfect way to get the most popular dance songs in nearly their full length mixes. Of particular note are two tracks that aren't really available on CD in such long lengths-the dj scribble mix of More Than Life at nearly 8 minutes (it was a radio edit on the CD single), and a 14 minute version of da buzz's Let Me Love You-which was never released in full version on CD single! Track times are:

Over 75 minutes of dance hits.......2001-09-18

The whole disc is amazing - not just track 5, which you hear everywhere, except on this cd it the DJ has taken and flawlessly laid it on top of Sandstorm - the 2 go so well together. And I like the fact the disc has only 9 tracks - because you get the full 9 - 11 minute mixes of EVERY TRACK - just like in the clubs. Don't let the total of 9 tracks fool you - the disc has over 75 MINUTES of non-stop dance music - more than the usual time of those imports with 20 tracks that only give you 3 minutes of each song. If you like dance music, you can't go wrong with this CD - definitely the best of the circuit series out there.

I like song number 5 on the CD but have to admit that stuff coming from the UK seems to be a bit better than this CD. I like the DJ when he performs at Traffic/Icon but was not overly impressed by this CD of only nine songs.

It's a non-stop continuous mix of top club tracks straight off the Billboard charts. Continuously mixed by top circuit DJ Brett Henrichsen, this disc plays like a hot night in the hottest club.

Harder ThannThe Usual Fair.......2001-08-30

This is a little harder than the usual fair found on Masterbeat, and the change is well appreciated. Included on this DJ mix compilation are current club hits "Hide U" by Susan Palmer, "Bumpin' & Jumpin'" by Kim English and "Feeling Me" by Kim Sozzie. Thunderpuss and World of Shoes supply fillers from earlier this year, "While Dive Into the Sandstorm" combines two of the biggest hits from the end of last year. Covering the last 9 months of progressive house fairly well, Fusion.1 would be a welcomed addition in any fan's collection.
