Great Melodic Metal.......2004-09-16

There must be something in the water in Sweden because so many great metal bands seem to hail from there or surrounding countries and Last Tribe are yet another that are a cut (or two) above the average.

This album is chock full of great melodic metal, you must buy this album if this genre is your thing (and you must buy their newer "The Uncrowned" album too, which is equally great too).

The guitarist Magnus Karlson is reason enough for you to buy this album, if you are into great guitar players in the metal genre, he is truly amazing (a mix of John Petrucci/Steve Vai/Yngwie Malmsteen/etc but without too much excess - very melodic with everything he plays).

As for the songs on the album, well, for me, its the melodies and arrangements that count most, not the lyrics, and so in this respect I guarantee you will be blown away by tracks such as "Dreamer", "Witch Dance", and "Wake Up The World". They will bury themselves into your subconcious and you will wake up in the morning humming these tunes not knowing why or how. They are that good.

Last Tribe is such an incredible melodic metal band from Sweden... As the whole world know that Sweden constantly produces metal bands of high calibre.. Last Tribe does not fall short of its title... My favourite band since purchasing it when it got released. I was recommended by a close frined to check this new band out.... As soon as I pop the disc into the player.. it just makes me so satisfied for such a great band.
All 4 musicians display their craft to their best abilities. My personal favourites songs are.. Witch Dance, Messenger, Dreamer, Wash Your Sins Away, Wake Up The World, Man Of Peace, Agadir....

For Fans who crave for new Melodic Metal bands to check out... Pick this one up for a start.. It's worth every penny.. Then also check out their new album THE UNCROWNED-2003

If you think Incognito is just a studio band think again. This live offering captures a tight, energetic, perfectly balanced band having a great time in Japan. Incognito fans will appreciate the ample song list loaded with favorites, but fear not; this isn't a boring greatest hits concert. There is a jam-session feel on several of the cuts and Maysa really shines with her own versions of Roots and Everday. The whole thing is mixed beautifully just as you'd expect from Bluey. Love it!

Bluey is bouncing on this one. If you are an incognito fan, you will want to get this CD.. Does a neat run little off of "Colibr" and the Ronnie Laws tune "Always there". Nice CD to drive with, just keep your eyes on the road while you're passing up the other cars on the freeway.. This is an import only? Hopefully there will be some more live CDs like this one in the future. The record lables may have to catch up first perhaps, they are a bit slow to creative music like this.

Better than a simple Greatest Hits CD!!.......1999-08-12

I hate "greatest hits" compilations, especially when I already own the original CDs. Live CDs, on the other hand, are something I look forward to with great anticipation. "Incognito: Tokyo Live" does not disappoint in the least.

I thouroughly love every track. An added bonus is the inclusion of a great rendition of one of my top-3 Incognito songs, "Always There". Excellent! The arrangements depart from the originals in unusual, creative, and exciting ways. The only thing that would have made this CD better for me would be if it was a double-CD. Ah well, next time.

A Different Form Of Alienation..........2002-07-25

OK...I have been a fan of Serial Joe since Mistake...and a big fan at that (of their hard rock beats). Well, hearing of Completely, the first single of their latest album (Last Chance) At the Romance Dance...I couldn't help but feel alienated. Either way, I still bought it, cause I liked Completely, though I never even heard the entire song till I bought the album. So...in two simple words...IT ROCKED! I fell in love with Last Chance as soon as I got it. The album sure got a lot of critisim, but I believe that it's their best work yet. The second single Unintended, is a beautiful song I believe, with it's smart lyrics and smooth rythem. I loved Last Chance...and if you liked Completely, you will LOVE the rest! It's worth the money, trust me!!! So...Last Chance is a change from Serial Joe's origional work, but the band is still the same (Ryan's still freaky hot!) and their music will still grab you and never let go!!! Last Change is AWESOME! The change of music may have alienated you...but trust me...it's in a GOOD way!

I think this cd is awsome for long time fans, but may take them by surprise. For people for haven't heard them before I would recommend to get this cd because it has good music!

This cd is awesome. They are an awesome canadian band and need some promotion!! So get this cd.You won't be disappointed.My favorite song on the album is Unintended....I saw the guys in concerts 3 times.They are very talented,sweet,and hot!!! lol.If you like bands such as Blink 182, Nickelback, Simple Plan and so on you will like Serial joe!I hope this has encouraged you to get the cd.

I am in love with Serial Joe, and this is their best work yet! Download the songs to this CD before you buy it to just see how great they are. It's hard to chose a favorite, but Suddenly, Unintended, Mary, and Save Me are on the the most listened to on the cd. A must buy!

The most amazing attribute to this song is that Ronan Keating and LeAnn Rimes seem to gel together so well. Their voices seem to be made for each other and blend with the music ever so brilliantly. It's a fantastic song and both the vocalists make it look so very out of this world. The lyrics are exquisitely touching and the tone of the music complement it. A great song that should be a hit whenever and wherever it's played.

Initially, when I heard this song on LeAnn's GREATEST HITS album I wasn't too crazy about the song. In fact, I usually skipped right past it. Now I'm addicted to it! What a great song! It's a nice ballad, and Ronan and LeAnn sound like they were meant to sing together, they compliment each other extremely well. The mixes are nice too. Check this single out!

I know that a lot of people are obsessed with Japanese pop and rock music, which inspired me to give several such albums a listen. After sampling dozens of discs, I found Denki Groove's Last Supper collection of singles and remixes to be one of the best. It's mainly thumping computer-produced dance music and yet, sounds too "pop" to be considered as only techno.

It's hard to find this double disc set in stores, because only a few thousand were made. As a previous review has mentioned, the set comes with a full color, large 32 page booklet (with full discography, videography, biography in japanese only) attached to the cardboard case. This was released to celebrate their 10th year in business.

A less-expensive single CD version is usually in stock but does not have the bonus disc of remixes and previously only-on-vinyl releases.

Greatest CD package you'll ever own!.......2002-05-24

What I enjoy most about the Jpop artists that I like is their fondness for play, the sense that they aren't afraid to have fun with their medium, and their willingness to experiment with sound and form. Denki Groove is a great example of a band that seems to really enjoy making music, and they don't care if they have to borrow from the dance, techno, electronica, hip hop or eurobeat genres to get their groove.
'The Last Supper' is a super collection of Denki Groove originals and guest star re-mixes that at some point will have you jacking your body whether you want to or not; It has that kind of infectious spirit. Their music is difficult to describe but suffice to say that they rely heavily upon electronic instrumentation, tape loops, mixers, beat boxes; there's not a guitar in the lot, etc. As for lyrics you'll find tracks in English, German and of course, the Japanese. (The tracks in the English and the German remind me a little of Stereo Total gone techno.) Is it party music? Yes. Is it dance music? Yes. Is it background music? Hardly. Is it good music? Emphatic yes: Even if you don't like it, you'll like them, if you know what I mean, and if you are already a fan you'd better get out the astroglide...Especially if you are a fan because each CD package must have taken [alot] to produce, for in addition to being a two CD set, it is also a 35 page, full color glossy-paged catalogue raisonne including their entire discography, videography, and "goodsography" (scads of things like lighters, shirts, lunch pails, ashtrays, toilet paper (I told you they like to have fun), plush toys, and semi-ridiculous gew gaws, etc.), all in glorious technicolour. To round out this 10th anniversary commemoration is a full biography of the band. Unfortunately it is almost entirely in the Japanese so we English speakers have to content ourselves with the many pictures and great 'send up' photographs of the band.
