Lauper's 1984 'she's So Unusual' Debut Album was Slightly Prophetic: She Scored a Grammy for 'best New Artist', Selling Over Five Million Copies Along the Way and Enjoyed a String of Us Top 40 Hits. This 1998 Title Has Remixes of Six Tracks from that Era, Including: 'girls Just Want to have Fun', 'she Bop', 'money Changes Everything' and Three More. Liner Notes Include all Song Lyrics.

Yes, it's the best........2004-07-07

The CD which was only released in Japan contains remix versions of five classics of Cyndi Lauper, moreover, a live version of Money Changes Everything at the end of the album.
It is worth to keep one indeed.

Cyndi's classic 80's 12" mixes on one package!!.......2003-12-21

This import was released in 1989 and it covers Cyndi's 12" singles from 1983-1987 (the cover being the same as the Change Of Heart 12"/7" cover). If you love this era of Cyndi, don't think twice, get it. It also has the extended live version of Money Changes Everything, which was used in the live video that MTV used to air.

Don't hesitate to get this package if you are a fan of Cyndi's 80's material and love 12" mixes.

Japanese import worth having for fans.......2003-11-24

Although a dance mix of "Goonies 'R Good Enough" might sound like torture to some, it's very well done here and will delight Cyndi Lauper fans. The extended "Girls Just Wanna..." & the live "Money Changes Everything" are worth having, and "She Bop" gets a decent remix. Only the lackluster "Change of Heart" and the bland "What's Going On" stymie this package, which features one great photograph of Cyndi in all her late-'80's, cartoon-chic glory. B-

Absolutely The Greatest Remixes.......2003-02-10

Ok this cd only has a few tracks on it..... 6 and I do not recommend spending the money on this cd for 6 songs. But if you have a gift certificate or something to knock down the price I definately recommend this album. The remixes are so cool. The extended Girls just wanna have fun is just that a long version of the song. As well as She Bop, The Goonies song and Change Of Heart. What's Going on is also an extended version and Money Changes Everything is a live version which can also be found on the new remastered version of her debut album She Is So Unusual with the 3 bonus tracks. So If you really want extended versions of these songs to play dj at the next eighties party you go to then definately get it.

classic remake.......2003-01-09

i always thought any classic shouldn't be tampered with. that was until i heard cyndi lauper's BEST REMIXES. although only a few tracks, every song is a gem once again! thank you, Cyndi!!

Great Jazz.......2005-01-06

I discovered this CD because I was looking for the music in the trailer of Pixar's "The Incredables". It was track 20: Planet Plan. It has nice beats, not too slow, not a lot of words, great for relaxation and you will not fall asleep with this music.

If you like jazz, funk, and euro-sounding stuff, buy this 2 CD set. Costly, but worth it. Totally worth it.

Great for DJ's.......2001-02-28

The mixes on this are OK for listening at home, in your car etc...IF...you are a huge fan of the Gipsies. However, three cuts of Bamboleo (all very good for the club scene or your parties) is a bit much for regular listening. And, two of the three cuts of Djobi, Djoba sound very similar. The final cut "Inspirational" is an instrumental version of Bamboleo...wonderful!!!

I've been looking for this one for the longest........2007-05-26

I'm so glad to have finally gotten a hold of these remixes, particulary "Shake your body down to the ground". I couldn't find that remix anywhere. "Blame it on the boogie" was slammin' as well. I think the Jackson's made their best music during this time period. That's just me personally.

Yes,this is my personal opinion but this cd has some of the best music i have ever heard.The last track TORTURE is so good that it leaves me shaking with happiness.Amazing talent amazing group,i wish i could have more of there music especially from Japan.

Jacksons are cool, but I swear "Torture" is the album version... well, there's "Blame It on the Boogie" that saves the day.

The Jacksons had alot of great jams.just from Destiny&triumph alone not to mention classics like show you the way to go.this set is alright I Liked The Blame it on the Boogie remixe but I want a True Greatest Hits Compilations of this Group.the Mixes are so/so in spots.Heartbreak Hotel is still one of the baddest jAMS THAT Michael ever did.

Not what I expected.......2000-07-10

When I bought the CD I thought that it provided remixes for all the tracks listed. It turns out that it's only 2 of the six tracks. The other 4 are from the album version. The 2 that were remixed were "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)" and "Blame it on the Boogie." While "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)" was pretty good, "Blame it on the Boogie" is one of the best remixes out there.
