Product Description
We live in a world of pre-packaged, spoon-fed music, which demands we dance to the toxic beat of jingling pennies in executive pockets. subthunk was founded to lay down "anewgroovetomoveto"*. Ignoring pigeonholes and skipping merrily between genres like a band of bipedal musical llamas, subthunk ingest sonic influences, digest diverse styles, and spit out a satisfying synthesis of aural pleasure.

The third subthunk album "You Should've Been Here Yesterday" was primarily written and recorded in London and is an eclectic mix of funk, electronica, jazz, deep groove and rock. The album is the first to fully explore vocals with the introduction of vocalist/lyricist Lisa Moore and represents the next step in subthunk's musical journey.

OK, picture Judy from the Jetsons smoking a big fat one while cruising along the atmosphere in a space-aged motor vehicle. subthunk's (spelled with a lowercase `s' for no particular reason) third release, You Should've Been Here Yesterday, orbits somewhere between spatial jazz fusion and induced retro house beats. The futuristic ambiance is further enhanced by a sultry female jazz singer and an IBook full of electro beats. Similar to, yet a navigation line ahead of bands like Morcheeba, Portishead, and The Sneaker Pimps. Web link: subthunk.com.
