About the Artist
Among the hottest deejays and producers on the west coast. So talented that he has received numerous awards as well as having his work featured on television and movie soundtracks.

Born and raised in Seattle, Funkdaddy has produced, engineered, and written songs for groups both major and local since his days of high school. He has even lent his turntables skills to many gold and platinum artists as well as taking 1st place in DJ battles (such as The Battle For Seattle Supremacy(1989) and CITR DJ & MC Battle* Vancouver, B.C. 1990). The following year, Funkdaddy went back to the CITR battle to not compete in the DJ competition, but the MC battle. And when the smoked cleared, Funkdaddy was deemed the MC Champion. With the success of his DJ'ing and rhyming, Funkdaddy wanted to perfect and makes his mark on his first love…producing. The turning point in his career came when J.D. Hill helped introduce Funkdaddy to the masses. JD went down to San Francisco to the Gavin Convention and met Sic Wid It artist and CEO E-40. JD passed a tape of Funkdaddy's beats to E-40 and within a couple of weeks, he brought on Funkdaddy to produce 3 tracks on his first RIAA Certified Platinum Album "In A Major Way". This turned out to be the launching pad for putting out his first solo album "Funk U Right On Up". He has since recorded two additional solo albums "Funk Daddy Is The Source" and his most recent release "I Want All That". If that's not enough, he has been fortunate to have his music used in the former ABC weekly series "Dangerous Minds" based off the motion picture of the same name. He has also had his music used in the hip hop documentary "Rhyme and Reason" as well as in the movie and on the soundtrack "3 Strikes" and in the hot nationally released documentary "Street Racing". Funkdaddy's production has received such critical acclaim, that he has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Daz, D12, Livio, Spice 1, Dru Down, B-Legit, Rass Kass, Money B, N2Deep, Cool Nutz, Mac Dre, and believe me, a whole lot more. Funkdaddy can still be heard spinning at the top clubs in Seattle on a weekly basis, (most recent would be The Phat Farm/ Baby Phat Party with Russell Simmons and his wife hosting at Club Rocksalt) and has traveled extensively, most recently in Las Vegas to spin for Erick Sermon as well as Too Short. His reputation for being the most consistent and hottest DJ in the area, earned him the 1999 Best Club and Mix Tape DJ Award at The Northwest Music Awards.
