About the Artist
Project e.l.f., named after the cold war government project of the same name, is the latest work by Roach and Brain who have been making electronic music together for over 10 years. They both hail from the midwest and met while living in Chicago in the early 90's. Having both transplanted to San Francisco they've been involved in many electronic projects including Bluescreen, AB-, COLDR and the improv experimental recordings known as "evil".

Product Description
Project e.l.f. is a soundscape of IDM beats and rich down tempo ambience. Songs range from the glitchy, driving, near Industrial "Disappearing Bridges" to the eerie, dream-like "Insectasoid". Distorted drums and a decidedly Twin Peaks-like synth line describes "8088" and "8-bit drive by" is a quirky tune constructed purely of 8-bit video game samples.

Project e.l.f.,Project E.L.F.,DIV/Zero Records,IDM/Down Tempo from San Francisco heavily influenced by the sounds of Autechre, Boards of Canada and Higher Intelligence Agency.

5 out of 5 stars dope follow up release.......2007-05-23

One be lo is one of the most slept on underground artists around. Project fetus, the follow up to sonogram, is part two of pouring out knowledge, dope rhymes, some decent production to those that will listen. Lyrically this kat is one of the best to come out of dtroit in a long time. I am glad that they finally rereleased this album because I have been trying to get it for like the past year now.

If you are into cliq-hop, drone or just highly crafted electronic music, you should enjoy this collection. Highly recommended.

I've followed Plaid, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Bola, and others in this genre. I'd say that this takes the cake.

Amazing.

if you guys are searching for meaning in music and if u still want some sick beats. this is it for ya. great meaning and very easy listening his flow is to smooth to pass this cd on its great Sports Illa, Anybody, mic check, water world, lesson 1, many more good songs in this cd some of the songs i passed up but overall worth it

4 out of 5 stars Really good album.......2006-01-19

Maybe it deserves a 4.5 out of 5, yea, I give it 4.5. hah The reason I give it this is because S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M. is better, and this one might have one or 2 missteps along the way. But then again, what record doesnt? The beatsd are mostly on point. I love the breaks on here, they really are pleasant surprises to these ears, heh. But One B Lo really shows how he was the best of Binary Star, by giving these striahgt fire lyircs. What I like most about him is that, he's a bit different than a lot of underground cats out there. Like, personally, I for one am getting tired of hearing all of this crazy cosmic/out there type of lyrics that are really just over my head sometimes. But this guy jus tells it to you straight up, at least half the time! lol No, actually even when he displays his great wordplay and lyricism, it just more amazes me than bores me. He is really more down to earth and SHOULD have more "street cred" than most otha rappers out there on the radio.

Fav tracks: Anybody, Lesson 1, Mic Check, Fast Food Remix, Alphabet Soup, Sportz Illa, What Its All About, Double Eassay (S.S.A) I love this last one cause its a neat concept done to a great break, LOVE the beat!

5 out of 5 stars Truly the one man Army.......2005-11-21

Compare this guy to Papoose or Saigon, and you find that even those two don't compare. If people started to spread word about the lyrical superiority of the One Man Army, they would find out that the most complete MC in the game has dropped 2 solo classic as well as a classic duo with equally talented but less fortunate with the law Senim Silla. Find this album you won't be dissappointed.
