Collection "Once Upon A Time in the North", featuring the first album, EP and demo songs in remastered form, was released in august 2005. Band has recorded the new album "Wintereich". Album will be released in first half of 2007. ..and the Mission continues..

Not the best metal band in the world, but they do deserve a lot more credit than they have been given. I love this band and they have a great style. Listening to this cd makes me want to go to Finland for the wintertime. Buy this cd, you won't be disappointed.

This is a good buy for two full discs of music. You really hear a band find it's sound and get much better in the process. And as they get better they hopefully will now get bigger. Some of the older stuff is muddy due to a limited budget I would guess, but some has some real doomy almost sorrow moments that I really like and wish they would incorporate more of. If you like black, death or other extreme metal with a progessive slant check this band out.

      Andre Rieu's Romantic Paradise with selections including "The Godfather," "Strangers in Paradise,"The Rose," etc. is absolutely lovely. His violin brings out the best in these familiar songs. There is a second CD with the same title, with "Dances with Wolves" as the first selection, that will blow you away. I got mine in Europe. Hope it becomes available in the USA.

      Out of both songs,I love the second one better,the one from the album Fallen.There's something about My Immortal just makes you wanna cry everytime you hear it.It's a song I want played at my funnral when I die because the lyrics are really close to my heart.Really haunting vocals and one of the best Evanescence songs in the world.

      this is one of my favourite evanescence songs. i've loved it ever since i herd it on their first album "Origin", Then i herd it when i watched the Daredevil movie in the theater, with the "Fallen" mix on it. it was at a very emotional part, and i almost cried. lol. and then i herd the same verson once Fallen came out. Then when they released it as a single...WHOA! the Radio Band Version is the BEST version out there so far! and amy lee has a wonderful voice, the best thing is, is she sounds good LIVE too. and WOOOOOOOA. words can't describe how good this song is, u just gotta listen to it.

          To be honest with you I fist heard of evanescence when I went to see Daredevil and this song was on the soundtrack, my good friend found a CD by an unknown group called Evansecence and while we were in our local CD shop he literaly thrust the album "fallen" under my nose and said "don't argue just buy it" next thing you know I am sitting at home listening to the song that I consider now to be one of my if not the all time favourite song. The lyrics the voice the tune wow what a beautiful combination, if I could award this more than 5 stars I would. My personal favourite version is the original but opinions vary. Do yourselves a favour buy this I have the album and still buy the singles when they are released. Incidentally my father died a couple of years ago and this song helped me with my grief in a big way. Enjoy.......

          My Immortal is close to my favorite Evanescence song (Immaginary is creeping closer). When I first heard this I had it playing in the back of my head and one of my close friends had gotten hurt and was crying a little - so I had the lyric "When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears" stuck in my head. Now I can sing it all the way through on my own. Lovely song. I don't have this single, but I do have Fallen and I love each song.

          This song took me completely by surprise. It saved Evanescence from one-dimentionality. This song is the most unabashedly poetic and heartfelt piece of music played on the radio in years. The magnificent orchestra arrangement heard on the album version, Amy Lee's hauntingly beautiful and mourning vocals (which are basically an F-U to everyone who says she can't sing), and the subtle, yet piercing, emotion in the song all prove how good Evanescence really is. Any doubts I had about them were obliterated upon hearing this song. By far the best song of 2004. If you don't have the album, buy this. It has the "Band Version" which is basically the radio edit, and the beautiful album version, which is even more gently haunting. In a year of countless, horrible songs played constantly on the radio, Evanescence released a song that was actually that, a "song". And a damn awesome one at that. Go Evanescence!!

          Considering I think their album is one of the most overrated ones of 2003, I'm surprised I actually love this song. Amy Lee's voice is superb here and it's a shame she's wasting her time singing rock songs when she's better suited for ballads. Excellent song from an overrated band.
