Customer Reviews:
It really means "Pure" Trance I guess.......2004-12-16
Well I just finished this CD and to be honest, nothing really stuck in my head. However, they kinda overdid that synth sound. I've never heard so much of it. I was expecting it to change styles and synths (such as Tiesto's Nyana album)but they all stayed the same and it got tiresome. I'm a Trance fan but this CD just really didn't get me into a great trance mood.
Some bad songs are "Can you Hear me?" -bad vocals, "Venus" -the most overplayed song. The good songs I can think of are "Let the Leaves" "Remeber" "The Race" and "Too Late to Turn" Everything else pretty much sounds like euro-cheese.
If you like Vocal Trance a lot, then you might enjoy this.
Nothing special.......2004-08-12
I've been listening to trance music for quite a while and i can tell you that this CD is really nothing special. All the tracks are getting old now and this is not a cd you would be impressed to showcase to your friends. Even if the tracks weren't as old, i still wouldn't recommend this cd because many of the songs are cheesy. The song
Trance Headahe.......2004-03-18
The other reviews mentioned here would have you believe that "Pure Trance 2" is a great cd, but it is a bit misleading. What really annoyed me about this cd mix is that a lot of the tracks had loud, blarring, ugly synths sounds! The first track, "Genie" has horrible, high pitched synths. The second track "Can you hear me?" has a cheesy vocal!. Next up, "Silent Heart" has a good vocal but lousy synths, that ruin the track.
then is another track filled with awful synths called, "See my paradise". On track 5 things mellow out with "Tokyo" it has a nice steady tempo and the synths are not as annoying like other tracks. Track 6 has "Let the leaves" another annoying track with ugly synths. Following another blarring synth filled track called "Silver bath". And most of the tracks go in the same direction of having poor vocal songs, ugly and loud synths. The synths seem to be the MAJOR emphasis of this cd. It wouldn't be a bad thing if they had good synths and good harmony, but they don't. Pure Trance is a poor introduction to trance music, it has good selection of tracks marred by bad vocals and ugly synths that gave me a headache everytime I listened to it! I suggest you buy other compilations like the MOS (ministry of sound) or The FANTASTIC "Euphoria" series which in my opinion surpasses any compilations out there. I have wrote many reviews on the Euphoria series, which I love with a passion!
Trance Addict in SF, Cool CD!!!!.......2003-09-22
For those who love melodic, uplifting trance that makes you want to move, get this cd. It has some fresh cool trance tracks. My favorite is "Genie". Sends chills up and down my spine. Ligaya, Secret Memory, Summer Calling are but a few that I'm mentioning here. The whole cd is cool. Epic trance at it's best. Water Music seems to be gathering some very fresh artist and tracks. There other cd out, "Liquid Trance" is awesome too. Like cool beats, melodic, uplifting danceable trance? Get this!!

Driven heart.......2006-05-25
Great pulsing beats. Excelent to drive to. Good celection of trance tracks. Not too much filler as in many other compelations out now days. My only contention would be with the transitions between songs. The mix down could have been a little smoother. Over all very good...get it.
Another Good Series to buy...................2005-07-16
The first series of Pure Trance rocked as well as this one.................They always seem to put out good music.............
Outstanding trance on this two disc set. Me so happy........2004-11-27
Thanks to an FYE for playing this compilation for display, I purchased this two disc album, the second volume to "Pure Trance Party." It's two continuous mixes containing today's trance and trance classics together. Both are just uplifting. There are twelve tracks on each disc.
Featured on disc one are trance anthems like Paffendorf's "BeCool." It's not the original mix, nor does it have the exact from the original. It's mostly the same synthesizers from the original, but the notes are different. The vocals, "Honey, you're so cool," "Yeah, God made me cool," "Everybody be cool. You be cool," etc.., are still in this track. There's also "Take Me To The Clouds Above" by LMC. This song contains a sample of U2's "With Or Without You." Another song on disc one is Armin Van Buuren's "Burned With Desire" featuring the vocals of Justine Suissa. The Dutch make great trance. Van Buuren's talented. The German's make good trance too. Paul Van Dyk's "Time Of Our Lives" feat. Vega 4. I like the song for its bass, and the vocals are good too. Funny how it almost sounds like a country song with those vocals. Also on disc one, PPK's "Resurrection." I have memories from 2002 with this single. I pretended to explore the undersea world while playing this song. There's also ATB's "Let U Go," "Turn The Tide" by Sylver, "Love Me Right" by Angel City, Sonique's "Feels So Good," and more.
On disc two, there's Schiller's "Das Glockenspiel." Whenever I hear this song, I picture a Christmas scene. That's what I get for listening to those kinds of bells. There's also Darude's "Music." I just can't get enough of robotic vocals. That's what's in the song. System F (Ferry Corsten) is on here with his hit, "Out Of The Blue." System F got an 'A' for his 1999 trancer. It's mighty and happy sounding. His other single, "Ligaya," is also on here (this time, under Ferry's 'Gouryella' moniker). The word 'ligaya,' I believe, is the Philipinish word meaning 'happiness.' Did you know? There's also Tiesto's "Traffic," ATB's "I Don't Wanna Stop," Kay Cee's "Escape," Oceanlab's "Sky Falls Down," "Madagascar" by Art Of Trance, and more.
It's trance like this that reminds me that this sub-genre of techno has a long healthy life ahead, and that it's going to find its way through more success in the electronica genre. I'll be waiting for volume three of the "Pure Trance Party" series if it's ever in existance and available.
