Editorial Reviews
Product Description
The Matrix was opened by Marty Balin in 1965 as a place for his new band to play. On opening night, the band chose their name (The Jefferson Airplane), and from that moment on, The Matrix was the place for famous bands of the 1960s in San Francisco, bridging folk and psychedelic rock. It closed in 1972 but was resurrected in 2001 with a hip and futuristic twist that instantly became a favorite of San Francisco night owls. Volume two contains ten tracks from the best current SF artists such as Tom Novy, The Moves, Kings Of Tomorrow, Benn Watt, Zoo Brazil, Kaskade, and more.
