After 6 months out of the limelight, R&B princess Javine returned this February to compete against four other acts for the honour of representing the UK in 2005's 'Eurovision Song Contest'. A blaze of publicity surrounded the show, resulting in over 1 million people voting. Javine put on a breathtaking performance, seeing her storm to victory with 'Touch My Fire', a sassy slice of eastern inspired dance pop. Javine will compete against the rest of Europe in Kiev on Sat 21 May to an estimated audience of over 120 million people.

If you were born before 1950, you will like this CD. I bought it because I have long admired Andre Kostelanetz. He was accomplished in leading both popular and classical orchestras. The recordings on this CD are monaural and were recorded in the late 30's to mid 40's. I don't think Tiger Rag, Bugle Call Rag and Turkey in the Straw complement the other selections. The remainder, however, are lush and romantic.

    another great halo benders work! doug martch and calvin jonson do the best cover of the smiths please let me get what i want. and the acoustic version of comet trailings. this thing is great and rare so grab it up quick. a sure hit with built to spill fans!

    Javine sure can sing, but this song has no melody, is very repetetive and was meant to get her career back on track...which failed, because at the Eurovision contest it didn't win many points and was rather unnerving
