Not for fans..........2006-04-20
If you don't have any Faithless albums then by all means get this before you spring for the full collection. It's a good sample of the wonder that is Faithless.
I have all their albums and an embarrassing number of singles, so I got this one in case any of the tracks were different. Sadly the only variation is that some of the tracks are shortened Radio Edits rather than the full track.
If you already have Reverence, Sunday 8pm, Outrospective and No Roots, then better spend the money on the "Why Go?" single import which has the brilliantly smooth Hoxton Whores remix.
I continue to have faith in their ability to create great dance music.......2005-12-29
1997 was the year. "Insomnia" by Faithless had swept over the dance floor. The ensemble's unique echoic sound would last through their numerous albums, but always bringing in new elements to keep their musical proposal fresh. Unlike others that seem more meant to fulfill a contract, this Greatest Hits compilation does do them justice and presents the true best of their works. Almost nine years later, I hear the Monster Mix of "Insomnia" on this album, and it takes me back to the day. Definitely my faith in Faithless' ability to create great dance music is as strong today as ever.
Good collection.......2005-06-01
For sure, I must recommend to buy all the original albums including remixes, but this is because I love Faithless.
If you are not a Faithless fan, but you like electronic music, you must have this album. This compilation is very well done, you get the best and buying it you'll not be disappointed.

Customer Reviews:
Heavy beats, lots of fun.......2006-11-03
This is a high energy dance song, lots of thumping and lots of expression that will keep you in high gear.
NOT QUITE WHAT I EXPECTED....BUT STILL GREAT!.......2006-10-23
As a deeply devoted fan of Chicane, I must say I was a little dissappointed with this, as many hardcore fans around the world will be. However, after listening a few more times, this track really touches you, with its yearning male vocals courtesy of Tom Jones, and the beautiful filtered guitar riffs and soft synth chords. It definitely works a dancefloor, and as a dj and clubber, I can say that i LOSE IT to this! Although not the blissed out and ethereal anthem we had hoped for, Chicane has grown as an artist and this is a great display of a brilliant musician broadening his sound. The drums are tight, the bass is heavy, and the overall feeling takes you to the real sound of Ibiza! If you are new to Chicane, buy "Behind The Sun" before this.. If you are a fan, you may be dissappointed at first listen, but give a couple more spins and it will hit you!
(sigh).......2006-09-05
Another single from Chicane's never-to-be-released new album, it seems. It's been six damn years since Nick released his last LP; for three of those years, I've been beginning to lose hope that he'll ever release another one. Why have I lasted so long without new material? Because his two albums to date, "Behind the Sun" and "Far from the Maddening Crowds" are just that good -- even though I can't listen to them anymore.
This song rocks in the clubs!!!.......2006-07-09
This song has a club beat that just makes you want to dance. Tom Jones as a featured addition was a great choice. Just when you think TJ will fade, he comes back full force with modern music.
Excellent CD.......2006-06-30
All four songs on the CD are the same song but remixed in different ways, especially the last one as it has a cool disco-type beat. I love all four. Tom Jones is great and he sounds excellent. If you like dance music and Tom Jones then you will be very happy with this purchase.

TRUE EMOTIONAL METALLIC ROCK.......2006-08-20
I JUST LOVE THIS ALBUM - it used to get me when I was down with all of my romances (trouble in paradise eh?).
This is a very heavy album in melody and emotion with a few scorching metallic songs. This album was more lighter than their debut. I recommend this album to any metal head from the 80's that overlooked this album. They look like they are from L.A. but they were from Arizona. Much better than some of their contemporaries like ROUGH CUTT, RATT, POISON and MOTLEY CRUE.
They made it to a third album and unfortunately, just faded afterwards.
top AOR!.......2006-07-23
probably the best album ever released or at least one of em! bought this sucker when i was a kid back in the 80's, also bought it again when it first was released on cd. this album is one top rocker that i never will be tired of! classic from start till end! buy!!!

This New Perfecto Compilation Mixed by Top DJ Extraordinaire, Paul Oakenfold. 'Fluro' Mixes Seismic Rock N Roll Blends Seamlessly Into Goa Trance and Then Into Chanting Classical Music.
Customer Reviews:
Truly Beautiful.......2004-05-05
This compilation is one of the most moving collections of music that I've heard. It's power are emotion are matched to such treasures as Pet Sounds. You may be initially turned off by the price but don't be. If purchased, this cd set will become a favorite, one that you will not grow tired of in time. I owned this cd and made the mistake of sharing it with a friend. Needless to say the cds were never returned. I searched for over a year to replace it. Unfortunately no one was stocking it. Its great to see that Amazon.com now has it in their catelogues. Buy it before it disappears forever!!!
Not for all Trance lovers. Only for die-hard Oakenfold fans........2004-01-29
This is very early Trance/Techno that is mixed well but not as well as some of Oakenfold's better works like Tranceport (his best CD to date) or Great Wall (His 2nd best).
This is more industrial club DJ music that is fast trance, with lots of very early beeps and beats. I would only recommend this one if you are a die-hard Oakenfold fan or if you want to listen to some fast trance with lots of fast drums. It does not really peak as much as his better CDs and certainly is devoid of the magic, but there is a DJ in the making here. This may have been good for its time but there is a lot better Oakenfold out there (and some worse ones!) when all is said and done.
This is very fast and early and not the best Oakenfold you can start with. I certainly recommend Tranceport over this one or Great Wall and prefer those CDs to this one but as you can see die-hard lovers of Oakenfold will rate this CD highly. I would not recommend starting here though.
The best blend of classical and electronica ever........2003-12-13
I was fortunate enough to get this first time around in the UK (The 2 disc version), where it failed to sell many copies on release unfortunately. But it is probbaly my most played album over the past few years.
The true talent of Oakenfold shines through here, as both a mixer and also as an ear for great music. The way the music flows from beautiful classical score to deep and thoughtful trance and back again has never been bettered. This is one of the few albums that I would say is beautiful, perfect for listening to in a darkened room or with your eyes closed.
I am even more impressed now as a number of these artists were not even household names in their own house at the time. The brilliant Astral Projection, Transa, Y Traxx and Man With No Name steal the show in my opinion but the album in quality from start to finish.
Disc 1 starts in chill out mode and regularly returns there in between some very cool sections of Goa and Trance.
Disc 2 is slightly harder overall but starts out with the achingly beautiful chimes of Zbigniew Preisner (Craven Leaves), quite possibly one of the most eerily beautiful tunes I've heard in a long long time.
Just out of inteest here is the full track listing (with artist).
Disc 1
01 H.H.C. - We're Not Alone
02 Ryuichi Sakamoto (Duplicate) - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence

06 Man With No Name - Teleport
07 Terrorvision - Conspiracy
08 Man With No Name - Sugar Rush
09 Eric Serra - Cute Name
10 State Of Emergency - Banks Of Babylon
11 Juno Reactor - Jungle High
12 Ennio Morricone - Miserere
13 Virus - Moon
14 Grace - If I Could Fly
15 Our House - Floor Space
Disc 2
01 Zbigniew Preisner - Craven Leaves
02 Johann - New Kicks
03 Samuel Barber - Adagio For Strings
04 Astral Projection - Kabalah
05 Wojciech Kilar - Love Remembered
06 Transa - Prophase
07 X-Section - Atlantis
08 Björk & David Arnold - Play Dead
09 Ozaka OZ - Real Nightmare
10 Legend B - Lost In Love
11 Jamie Myerson - Revisions
Truely inspiring, I only wish that there were more like this. 5 out of 5 in any language.
I know I paid only £25 for this (about $25) at the time, but it really is worth the $48 or whatever it is these days. You will never regret it.
One of Oakie's Best by far!.......2003-07-23
This is my 6th addition to my ever growing Oakenfold collection and fuels my ambitions to keep it growing. Fluoro is rated at the top of my collection along with all other Oakie albums i've acquired. The Trance and Break Beats mixed with the Ambience gives this album a balanced fulfillment of what Oakenfold is capable of. I have yet to be disappointed. Five Stars!!!!
oakenfold at his best!!!.......2003-05-17
Paul Oakenfold is without question the most well known dj in the world and although, of late, his musical style has leaned heavily on euro-pop. This recording captures Oakenfold in his prime. The track listing is outstanding. The songs are quality through and through and they do not sound dated such as other compilations of the era. If you are a fan of this type of music, snatch this one up ASAP as it is now out of print. This one is even better than the revered Tranceport. Enjoy!! rock the vote :)

Customer Reviews:
:).......2005-11-02
I'm a huge PVD adict and this CD is vital to any PVD collection. However, if your just a casual listener then you might just want to try and obtain Animacion and Otro Dia through other means as you will probably not appricate the rest of the cd as much.
Bienventura is acutaly on the Reflections CD (great song but might as well just get Reflections)
Another review talks about "Zurdo In Love" which has the same opening as Bienventura but fades into a VERY BRIEF (yet very beautiful) melodic synth (to bad its only 1 min long)
I had hoped to give this cd better reviews as the movie has great music buildup.
About time this was released in the states!!.......2004-02-11
I actually heard the last track, 'Otro Dia', live, at Club Glow in Washington DC where Paul himself was spinning on 12/28/02. It was around 4-5am and he played the track on his first encore..... After dancing for about 5 hours straight to a fantastic set by the genius himself, Paul drops Otro Dia. My GOD. It was a spiritual experience. After being thoroughly exhausted, sore and dehydrated, this beautiful track rose my limp body from the dead, and had me back on the floor, with about 1000 other people going bannanas. This is BY FAR, PvD's best work, and it really speaks to the heart of what this man is all about.
The rest of the CD is a rare Gem. Although not the masterpiece of "Out there and Back", I still give it 5 stars. Track 7, "Zurdo in Love" is so beautiful, although more of a teaser track since it only lasts 1 minute.. I actually let the thing repeat for about 1 hour because it was so nice.. I wrote Paul to ask him to finish this track..
Zurdo is not your typical trance album.. there are a lot of breaks, mellow beats, hard beats.. etc.. it's very diverse and full of surprises.
Buy it.
Very Good Pick~.......2004-02-06
I love this CD~ very melodic and uplifting.....if you are a uplifting trance lover...this would definitely be your pick...i love it...listened to it for more than 10 times already...still loves it...one of paul's best....this cd is definitely worth your money...seriously...even my friends who love progressive house likes this cd too....
An awesome Soundtrack.......2004-01-14
Wow, I never thought a movie would have a soundtrack like this, PVD does it once again with his a$$ kickin trance, Definitly give this cd 5 stars, you can never go wrong with Paul Van Dyk.
Yes it's true... God is a DJ!.......2003-12-21
An amazing album to a film that I probably wont see, but Paul Van Dyk certainly gives this his all, and has proven yet again that his talents as a DJ and Producer are First-Class all the way. His tracks "Buenaventura" and "Anamacion" are amazing, but the last track "Otro Dia" sends chills down my back. This is one of his best works... as is, basically, everything he touches turning into Trance gold. It is ACE!

THE CD THAT STARTED IT ALL !!!!.......2003-08-06
Sorry I'm late everyone but I just started getting into writing reviews. This is literally the cd that started it all for me. This is the first trance cd I've ever heard. Since then (1997) I've been hooked. Back in the late 80s-early 90s my mother introduced me to dance music that she brought back to America from Germany (long story). So that kinda got me into the whole genre. I owe so much to this cd though. It paved the way for all of my major trance purchases, like tunnel trance forces, DJ Networx, Trance Mix USAs, Trance Allstars, and other Dream Dances alike!!!
Good CD if you like the Dream Dance series.......2000-06-13
This CD has it ALL. I highly recommend getting this CD. I have several of the Dream Dance CD's and I keep coming back for more since you know it's the same high quality material in every CD!

Dissapointing............2002-08-29
After I got my hands and almost immediately fell in love with Gatecrasher Discotech set, I rushed out to get this one - Digital. Very, very disappointing experience. There are 3 CD's in this set. One of them is chill out CD, which is slow and mellow, and it delivers no more and no less than what it promises - it's relaxing music, cosmic sounds and sound effects, so it's ok can't complain here. But the other 2 CD's are mostly, hard banging tek-trance, sometimes even surpassing hard trance and going into hard core tekno. There are a couple of "so-so" tracks sprinkled here and there. I found myself pushing the "next" button on my CD payer most of the time. So for those of you who really liked Gatecrasher Discotech set, and in general like high quality dutch trance, skip this set, you will not find it here.
A bit disappointing from high excitement.......2001-12-31
I have been a big fan of Gatecrasher compilations since the 'Black' album (their first one for those who haven't tracked them), having the 'Wet' album reigning as my favorite to this day, with 'Global Sound System' pulling in a close second. When I visited the Gatecrasher website, I saw the announcement of their latest one and got immediately excited. I listened to dozens of the samples online and eventually got it.
Disc 1 is the progressive, trance one of the group of 3. It has some really awesome synths and catchy melodies. While not as hard as disc 2 (I'll get to that in a second), it does have a good beat overall that can profess as a good danceable CD. Favorite tracks: 1, 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, and 15.
Disc 2 has some of the hardest beats I have heard on a CD before. The basslines are incredibly hard and if you turn your system up loud enough, you may either make your ears actually bleed, get complaints evolving into possible evictions from citizens in a 2-mile radius, or both. Maybe this wasn't my type of a mood of music, since the majority of it sounds a bit like 'happy to be hardcore'. The beats seem lost and I am having a difficult time trying to enjoy the music as I am secondly trying to find a rhythm to it. The beats were far too hard for my taste and this particular disc made me quite disappointed. What I also found a bit odd was on track 12, how the beats are so hard in this, that there was a strange occurrence of two moments of calm melodies of a piano being played; as soon as the piano silenced for a brief second, there came the boom of the next beat, shaking the floor. Favorite tracks: Not a single one.
Disc 3 is the chill disc of this group and a chill it is. After the migraine-pulsing second disc, this will relax you with its long synths and calm rhythm. Be noted that the high-pitched 'windchime-like' melody so to speak in track 6 will be quite ear piercing if you are listening at a short distance or if the volume is too high. Favorite tracks: 2, 5, 7, 8, and 10.
I didn't have high expectations for this compilation, but I was anxious to break it in. While two discs made me pleased, the other one ruined half the mood. This won't stop me however from continuing to have faith in what Gatecrasher delivers.
Gatecrasher nevers fails !!.......2001-12-27
Like the title, oh my god, I don't know where to start. I waited so long for this cd to come in. I couldn't wait. When I got the cd, I no sooner had it out of the package and into my cd player. I started with disc one. Disc one is very good, starts out layed back (like most sets do) and gradually get stronger as it progresses. But you can't stop there, go onto disc two. Words can't describe this cd. Most sets will slowly progress and finally be strong and intense in the middle and then chill out alittle. This one doesn't follow the norm, it just get more intense till you can't take it anymore. But don't stop there, you're all wound up and you still want it to get more intense, but then you throw in disc three. Now I must say, I don't think they could have done anything better. This is the most chillout set that I have ever heard, better than any ambient or goa set. Don't stop listening to it though, you may want to keep up beat, but if you just sit back and relax this will take you on a journey one has never been on before. This set well deserves 5 stars !!!! Keep them comin !! And like it says "Beyond the discotech generator to the fast the furious and the future, so let's get digital and fall in love." I don't think I could have put it any better
A perfectly paced CD.......2001-12-17
This CD took my breath away. I have been a big Gatecrasher fan for over a year now and my favourite before this was Wet. This, I have to say, goes way above and beyond that, and for me it is mainly due to the third disc. The additional "Chill-Out" disc, while other people have found it to be out of place, I found to be the highlight of the cd. The songs are great, and while they are electronic, they are slow, orchestral and quite simply beautiful. The highlights of disc 3 have to be tracks 2 and 3. CD 1 is more in the style of Discotech Generation and makes a nice start to the album. CD 2 is an extension of Discotech Generation with a more matured sound, and CD 3 I have already covered. This album is the best Gatecrasger album to date and you can definitely hear, and better yet feel the progession of Gatecrasher to bigger and better things. If you like great techno and you like slower, more melodic electronica, this is the cd to buy.
becoming fanatical about gatecrashers.......2001-12-03
All of the Gatecrashers are well worth owning if you like passionate trance, but "DIGITAL" and "WET" are among my favorites. The "Fast and Furious" disc from DIGITAL has got some really intense stuff and the bonus "Chill Out Disc" was different. One thing that needs to be said about all Gatecrasher cd's is that when put through an effects processor and given echo or "room size" treatment the repetitive stuff becomes less monotonous and the ambient voices become larger and more passionate.

Dream Dance 22.......2001-12-30
While the series still represents the cutting enge electronic sound, it does contain several TECHNO and HOUSE oriented fares, however TRANCE tunes are still a majority. Volume 22 sports some tracks you should be already familiar with. First CD starts with "Life Is Too Short" from KAI TRACID who also provided lyrics to this wonderfully crafted TRANCE oriented Video Cut. Also new from MARC ET CLAUDE - "Tremble" in I Love Trance Edit. This tune follow very popular nowadays EURO-TRANCE style similar what SYLVER, MILK INC. or even FRAGMA do these days. Another example of this tune composed by Armin van Buuren - "The Sound Of Goodbye" performed by PERPETUOUS DREAMER. Also new from PAUL VAN DYK: "Columbia" is featured in this compilation. This is more IBIZA oriented tune with some loops to put you into hypnotic mood. Speaking of hypnotic mood, check "Island" by ORINOKO. Featured Thrillseekers Remix provides angelic snares and synth lines. It's a throbbing and intoxicating tune with compelilling female vocals. Very interesting. From other new tunes we have frantic TRANCE by BLANK & JONES' "Fragile". Very passionate instrumental beauty. Prepare yourself to be blown away by this epic masterwork! What esle can you expect from masters anyway? MARK 'OH brings back his several years old "Never Stop That Feeling" in 2001 edition. The updated sound is brilliant with PROGRESSIVE/TRANCE mixed bottom topped with classic HAPPY HARDCORE backbone! Wonderful! The first CD also contains "Beatiful" by MATT DAREY's MASH UP feat. MARCELLA WOODS previously featured in several compilations. Second CD is also rich! It starts with new from KAY CEE - "I Feel You". A fine production with synth-driven buttom that makes most of the tracks powerful vocal and melodic hooks. Similar in power is actually track from 2000 that finally was featured in this series: "All I Need" by THE MACKENZIE feat. JESSY. Extremely catchy EURO-TRANCE with melody that is lush, airy female vocals, dynamic synthesizers and irresistibly energetic beats. Truly a powerful fare to not be missed! New from KOSMONOVA - "The Daydream" in TECHNO oriented Sascha van Holt Radio Mix is here as well. There are many more tracks to look forward to. So the best thing you can do is just to get this marvellous release! I prepared the mix featuring 8 tunes taken from both CDs. Check it out! Enjoy this mix and support the artists by buying this fine product!
