About the Artist
I am Jarbs and I am an independent Trance artist based out of Ellensburg, Washington. I have been writing Trance for the past 4 or 5 years, so I have a healthy portfolio of songs. I began by simply trying to mimic the styles of other artists that I had heard, but soon I started developing a musical style of my own. I now have a distinct sound that cannot be found anywhere else! Ranging from Industrial, Trance, Beats, to Techno and beyond, my music offers aural enjoyment to listeners of just about any genre of music. Go ahead... take a listen... and enjoy the sounds that only Jarbs has to offer!

This is the best album I have ever...........2006-05-14
Dylan Rice is a genius. A GENIUS. I think I spelled that right. Anyway. his music is unexplainable for me,I don't think there's a word in the dictionary to describe it just yet. But it's so good, so thoughtful and thought-provoking(??). And I mean, yes, his Lyrics are fantastic, but his voice is.......so crazy, man. It's like he makes you sorta feel every word. I bet you the guy could sing a song with no lyrics and you'd still get what the song was about. This is odd sounding, but he is a beautiful performer all 'round. I was extremely overwhelmed with how great this album was. "Truer Days" "Intangible" "One Pure Thing" "Wandering Eyes" (all time favorite). Especially,"Lucky to Need You" I felt that!! But, truly, EVERY track on this album is absolutely FANTASTIC. This is my second time buying it because I scratched the hey out the other copy. I wore that thing OUT!!!! Dylan, You R-O-C-K ROCK!!! Keep it up. you da bomb, man!!
March of a Singer/Songwriter.......2005-04-16
My best friend Marc, knowing what type of music I like - suggested I listen to this guy last summer at Chicago's largest street fest Market Days. I only got a chance to hear a few songs, but after getting a chance to talk to him, I went home and ordered it off of Amazon. It has remained in my CD rotation ever since. I will always support this genre, as it has more heart and soul than most pop singer out there. His voice reminds me of many, but is unique enough to be on its own. His tunes are highly radio friendly like Someday Heartbreak, The Lie, March of the Misunderstood and Truer Days, but will we ever hear the day (besides WXRT)? I hope so, but until then, I will continue to listen to Wandering Eyes and see him when performers around Chicago.
Ear Candy.......2004-11-23
Dylan Rice is a really good performer out of Chicago with a great voice and an uncanny instinct for writing memorable tunes. He covers a lot of ground on his debut, with rich melodies woven into an altrock and pop structure, tinged with melancholy and bittersweet recollections of relationships and life.
My favorite songs on this disc are "Distant Planet" (shades of Bowie locked away in there), "March of the Misunderstood", and "One Pure Thing" -- all of which could be solid singles if people programming radio had a clue.
If you like Emily Strand (whom I consider to be the female Dylan Rice), Aimee Mann, and Chris Isaak, you ought to like Dylan Rice.
A Brawny Voice, A Brazen Debut.......2004-07-27
Dylan Rice is a guy you've never heard of. He's not the flavor-of-the-month on your pop radio station, his video isn't topping at number one on TRL, and he has no major record label pushing him into your ears. But what he does have is something very few of today's chartmakers actually possess - raw talent and a ballsy voice that will stop you dead in your tracks!
I read a short review of Dylan's debut, WANDERING EYES in a gay magazine a few months back. That's right, he prefers the guys. But while some of his songs definitely play to a gay sensibility, the themes he's singing about are essentially universal: soured relationships, childhood disappointments, true friendships, and the longing for a real loving connection in a detached world. Things everyone can relate to. His twelve handpenned songs are a tapestry of emotions with a copious amount of catchy hooks and choruses that'll have you singing along - but the most engaging thing about WANDERING EYES is Dylan's deep, magnetic voice. Ahhh, that voice! He's the real deal, powerfully packing every tune with feeling - whether he's being tough and no-nonsense on JUST LIKE YOU and DRAMA QUEEN, absolutely heartbreaking on I DO & I DON'T and LUCKY TO NEED YOU, mustering hope on ONE PURE THING, or oozing sex on TRUER DAYS - he'll catch you and keep you with every track. His voice could almost be a religion, it's that remarkable! Top the whole package off with his handsome looks and you've got the makings of an underground idol ready to follow in the footsteps of Duncan Sheik and Howie Day.
(As a sidenote, even my indie record stores hadn't heard of this guy - after searching for a couple of months I finally picked up my copy through Amazon. So don't miss out! And Dylan, if you're reading this, I want to marry you.)
Pop rock with an edge that cuts deep.......2004-07-19
A complete album: energizng, far-from-your-standard rock chords, with lyrics that express something different every time you hear them. For me, the highlight of the album is Rice's outstanding & cunning voice: with a strength and range that is comparable to George Michael or Bono, it has a sexiness that is nothing less than unique. 'Wandering Eyes' is an album that will wake you up from the stale state of independent rock music and will leave you wanting more.

Davis Appeals to the Thinkers.......2000-12-01
Stuart Davis is the thinking person's musician, which is not to say that his music isn't great in and of itself. The lyrics, however, are the core. He thinks before he writes, which is refreshing. And he makes the listener think as well. As a poet, I immediately chuckled along with Davis's observations of irony and juxtaposition that most pass daily without a second thought (e.g., Billboard, Little White Town, Only Changing Drugs). It's almost like a musical stand-up routine of a very dry sort. Hard to believe that all this perspective is found in a fairly young person... ah, but he's really an "old soul" if you pause to think about it. And his music is catchy enough to make you repeat each track til you know the lyrics by heart... and by then you'll be thinking the same "hey, wait a minute!" thoughts that he does! Talk about addictive!
Stuart's Oldies but Goodies.......2000-10-14
This album has some great songs on it, but you won't get the chance to hear most of these at his concerts anymore. I like some of the sarcastic humor found in several of these songs. I was not disappointed with anything about this album.
Offbeat wisdom.......2000-07-12
I first heard Stuart Davis when he played a local university around the time of the release of this album. These songs and the songs on his other albums carry an aggressive folk sound and deal with themes you've never thought of in a song context. Stuart is as much an actor as a songwriter, as many of the songs are in the voice of an invented character. The first song on this album is an example. Only changing drugs approaches MN's large rehab industry as an addict who's exchanging their substance addiction for an addiction to support groups, rehab programs and 12 step programs. A strange statement to make, but something to think about. All in all, I'd recommend this as a good starting point into his catalog.

Warm and Nicely Done!.......2002-12-19
If you were to buy a release by Mustard's Retreat, this may be the one, since it highlights their strength: live performance. I have witnessed around 30-40 of them dating back to 1979, in their days in the bars and pubs of Flint, MI, and their warmth is nicely captured here.
Typical of their song selection is: 'Part Of Me Remembers', a sincere but not sappy song about loss that always brings a tear to my eyes; 'Detroit 1763', a first-person documentary which is among many they cull from Michigan history; and 'One Meatball', just one example of their great sense of humor.
Whether you're a folk purist or more of a pop-music fan, ANY Mustard's Retreat release will have something for you, but this one is still probably their all-around best!

Customer Reviews:
A must have!.......2001-05-15
Electric Angel defines the new millenium with their CD "Dream". You will never think of harp music the same way again! Their cover of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground" makes the song take on newer ground, and Caramar is one of the best instrumentals you will ever hear. If you're able to, see them in concert, and definitely buy this CD. It's like nothing you have ever heard before!
Pleasant music.......2000-10-27
A great mix of pop music with instrumental tracks & even a Celtic-tinged tune or 2. "I Believe" would make a good top 40 tune! They also give excellent live performances(saw them in Hayward recently), so take a chance & enjoy the music!
Electric harps? You bet!.......2000-10-20
If you've never heard an electric harp, you MUST check out this release! Jill Meniketti, Lynne Reardon and Midyne Spear make up the group, Electric Angel, and they all play electric harps.
Notable tracks include "I Believe" which features Meniketti's angelic vocals backed by the soft harps (which sound almost like 12-string guitars); a remake of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground" is a total trip (featuring Meniketti's use of a Wah pedal, no less!); and "On Wings of a Dream", penned by Meniketti's guitar-hero husband, Dave Meniketti of Y&T fame, who also makes a few appearances as a guest musician and co-producer.
Other guests include Myron Dove on Bass, Jimmy Biala on drums, and Gregory Spear on Acoustic Guitar.
If you like the sounds of Wilson Phillips, you're sure to love these smooth sounds.
Not Your Grandmother's Harp Music.......2000-10-18
I love this recording! The combination of three beautiful voices in great harmony along with three electric harps also with beautiful "voices" and great harmonies is amazing. The style isn't "old fashioned" or "new age"....they have a style of their own with heart and drive. There's nice percussion, keyboard, and guitar backing the group as well. I especially like the song "Falling Angel". The three harp arrangement is intricate and dramatic and Midyne Spear's lead vocal is lovely. Other stand out tracks are "Light of Sound", the totally instrumental "Velocity of Love", the hard driving "Higher Ground" (definately not your grandmother's harp music) and the beautiful Celtic sounding "Through the Mist".
This is harp music like you've never heard.......2000-10-18
This awesome trio takes harping to a new level! Say goodbye to the old stereotypes of ethereal, suitable-for-meditation-and-massage-parlors harp music - these talented women make their electrified harps groove! Jill Meniketti's vocals on "I Believe" have pop-star appeal and make you want to get up and dance around the room. "The Light of Sound," written for the group by a dear friend, shows off their ability to blend three distinct voices and playing styles into a harmonious whole and really deliver what we all search for in music - the communication of deep emotional truths in a way that transcends the notes and the words of the song. This album has some great original songwriting and composing on it, as well as unique interpretations of well-known favorites. Tasteful use of modern production techniques and some rocking back-up artists are the icing on the cake. This is a must for anyone who THINKS they know what harp music is all about...

Album Description
Clayton Lee is not the same guy in the same hat singing the same song the same way. He sings from the place the man who wrote the songs would sing them from, because he did. All the songs on this album are written or co-written by Clayton. Is it roots music, Americana, rock, country, blues, jazz, or swing ? You'd have to say Clayton Lee's music transverses and blends the genres. It's real music, nothing contrived to match the flavor of the month. It's an honest, genuine, party time, foot stompin', howl at the moon, dance with the girl, laugh till your side hurts, cry in your beer, thrill ride you'll be glad you listened to!

Product Description
With its high-octane rhythm, fiery guitar and undeniable hook, Joanie Leeds' "Bad Girl" is the exclamation point on an album that makes her strongest statement yet. In one 3-and-a-half-minute blast, Leeds displays her lyrical wit, her gift for memorable songcraft, and her ability to write compelling music in a diverse range of styles. Sure, it's tongue-in-cheek, satirizing the mock rebellion of manufactured teen-pop divas, but Leeds' bold and boisterous "Bad Girl" is an emblem of the confidence and promise that permeates her 2nd album, SOUL FROM MY FOOTSTEPS, and the signal of an exceptional rising talent.
Adding "Bad Girl"-style power pop, along with blues and funk to her repertoire, SOUL FROM MY FOOTSTEPS builds on the gentle folk-rock of Joanie's previous album without sacrificing any of its sensitivity and warmth. After years of invaluable experience on the New York City circuit, Joanie has emerged with a fully fleshed-out sound and a winning sense of artistic direction and creative independence that separates her from her peers.
