5 out of 5 stars The Saga Continues.......2007-05-19

Mark Doyle knows what I like. I followed him when he was with Hed Kandi and the saga continues with his current label, Fierce Angel. His latest compilation, Fierce Disco is loaded with outstanding house music anthems. You can't miss with a line-up featuring Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Joey Negro, MAW, The Freemasons with Siedah Garrett, The Brand New Heavies, Tweet, Bob Sinclar, Dennis Ferrer, Jamie Lewis, and Martin Solveig among others. Stand-out cuts are FK's club banger, Disco Shimmy, AC Soul Symphony's The Kinda Love (Joey's Disco Blend), and a sick Morales re-edit of the Milk 'N' Sugar classic, Higher And Higher. I gave this 3 disc comp 5 stars based on cds one and two alone. I haven't even started on the third disc yet. This collection is simply wonderful or better yet, fierce. If you need a quick house music fix, take a break from downloading and record shopping. Order this bad boy and let Mark Doyle jack that body.

Like their white-trash Pennsylvania homeboys in Ween and Dead Milkmen, Bloodhound Gang are offensive, rude, stoopid, and vigorously gutter-minded, but they're better off for knowing what they are. And having admitted it, they also happen to be surprisingly clever and pretty damn funny. The group's second album, One Fierce Beer Coaster (yes, the cover is designed as a beer coaster--a nod to the band's frat-boy constituency), is full of smart lines, great hooks, and creative arranging. Not one of the record's 10 originals misses its mark. Unlike Bloodhound Gang's 1995 debut, Use Your Fingers, which was essentially a sample-heavy rap album with rock tendencies, Beer Coaster features a new backing band for more of a live rock sound, with muscle-bound funk touches and rapping (think 311 or Cake). But while the new Gang members are perhaps more in tune with current rock radio styles, Jimmy Pop remains an MC at heart--enough so, at least, to cover Run-DMC's "It's Tricky" and then duet with Vanilla Ice (on "Boom") and ape Ol' Dirty Bastard. If you doubt his mic skills, check the rapid-fire U.S. tour in "Going Nowhere Slow": Pop names 72 cities in under 30 seconds. Overshadowing both music and vocal chops, though, are the lyrics. Full of TV namedropping (Emmanuel Lewis), shopping lists (No-Doz, Rolos), and gleeful juxtapositions (Jack Kerouac and Gilbert Gottfried in the same line), Pop's rhymes are dense enough to be topical as well: various songs cover feminine hygiene, suicide as population control, acting gay as a way to meet women, and so on. The humor is a guilty pleasure for the politically incorrect. As Jimmy says, "I'm an Alka-Seltzer ... You're a sea gull"--and if you get the joke, you deserve to hear the rest of the record. --Roni Sarig

5 out of 5 stars About frigging time!!.......2007-05-18

About time I found this!! I been searching for these years trying to remember who sang "Fire Water Burn" from VH-1 and I had SO much trouble figure out who sang this song and I am so glad I found this album that I been looking for these years!!! I listened this album off music sampler and all the songs sounds great now I am going to order this album right after I leave the comment on here!!

5 out of 5 stars After only one year...........2007-02-07

____, this album just sounds so much different from Use YOur Fingers. If that album would not have flopped, think about what the BHG would be doing now.

Their most ambitious, it sounds so much different compared to Hooray For Boobies. That cd had alot of guitar riffs, and the lyrics are the ones that most people think that the band is only about. While I love that ______ album, it's their most juvenile. But not enough to annoy me. I think the lyrics are pretty cool. It does contain ALong Comes Mary. Their worst song, and only song by them that dosen't get a ten. More like a 3. Damn record company's fault. I bet they could have done better and make the music like the original. Lyrics don't cut it.

That's about it. THis one is way different in a good way. Even Boom is good, although Vannila ICe's part sucks like ______.

Cna't say anything else but buy!

3 out of 5 stars decent.......2006-12-09

EVERYONE has heard 'Fire Water Burn'.... that is about it though on this CD. Still good to have but buy with 'Hooray for Boobies' if you want their better CD.

Nob jokes, toilet humour, cheap swearing, tacky pop culture references, and so-uncool-they're-cool 80s New Romantic songs. Hmm. Must be Bloodhound Gang.

To say `One Fierce Beer Coaster' redefined dumb, lowest common denominator Rap/Rock is stealing a bit of Limp Bizkit's thunder, but take a look at the similarities. Both bands were/are loved and hated in equal quantities, both were quite keen on borrowing other people's material, and both have white boy wannabe Rappers for front men. But that's where the similarities end. For a start, Fred Durst takes himself far too seriously. Jimmy Pop Ali has a big squishy nose and knows it. Fred Durst couldn't write a rhyme to save himself. Jimmy Pop Ali's lyrics rhyme some of the least expected, dumbest words ever.

From whoa to go, `One Fierce Beer Coaster' is pretty much a series of jokes tacked together and called an album. Much of the humour is self-effacing, the Bloodhounds thinking of themselves as low down Gen-X slacker types, and they're probably right. However, Jimmy Pop and his crew have plenty to say about their safe and boring suburban society, the same way OG Rappers of the past commented on the ghettoes and slums of their youth. Basically, the suburbs are shallow breeding grounds for the mediocre and the superficial. Um, but most of this is just good, dumb fun.

First track "Kiss Me Where It Smells Funny" is an ode to the hazards of oral sex. It has a big, simple guitar riff, a bit of scratching, a few samples, and Jimmy Pop singing like an idiot. And that's pretty much the formula for the rest of the album too.

"Lift Your Head Up High (And Blow Your Brains Out)" touches on teen suicide, basically saying if you're thinking about it because of your crappy life, go ahead and do it, because you suck. "I Wish I Was Queer So I Could Get Chicks" pre-empted the TV show "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" by a good few years, but basically reinforces the point that what women want in a man is a man who doesn't really want women. "Why's Everybody Always Pickin' On Me?" is self-explanatory, while "Going Nowhere Slow" is a big list of cities The Bloodhound Gang have played in, with New Jersey somehow upsetting the band, so it ain't ever going to be on their itinerary.

Even if they can't write a decent song of their own, Bloodhound Gang can spot a good tune. Stealing the memorable melody line from Duran Duran's "Hungry Like The Wolf" for "Your Only Friends Are Make Believe" was probably the brightest thing these guys did on this whole album. It's a slow paced, guitar driven song, breathing new life into the old '80s standard.

Even with their love of homoerotic New Romantic Pop, some things were still too uncool, even for the Bloodhounds. Rob Van Winkel guest starred on "Boom". "So what?", you might say. Another wannabe nobody white boy Rapper, right? Well, yeah, except this one used to go by the name Vanilla Ice, but don't tell anyone, OK? "Boom" is the slickest song on the whole album, the pair trading insults in a good old fashioned face off.

"Fire Water Burn" stands head and shoulders above the rest of the album. Sure, the formula is similar to the other songs, but the tune is the most memorable here, the lyrics the easiest to follow, and the double entendres are the funniest. Try not singing "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire" after hearing it. It's a Rap song for those who hate Rap, and a Rock song for the non-Rocker. This is the song on which Bloodhound Gang have built their career, and good on them for doing so.

If your idea of a good laugh is the day's political cartoon in the paper, don't even bother with `One Fierce Beer Coaster'. If a good time for you involves women with big boobs, inserting foreign objects where they don't belong, beer, and making fun of those less fortunate than yourself, you've found the perfect album.

4 out of 5 stars Strange Hard Rap Rock?.......2006-06-10

You hear this stuff and you notice the samples. You also notice the carefree attitude. Actually, you may even sense a far more dangerous and explicit attitude: the point is that they [supposedly] don't care about the fanss or themselves. That, in itself should be why you'll like them, so if that statement doesn't sound appealing, then they won't be.

Further, this band does rock hard. Believe it or not, this screw-around band puts out the heavy. Also, they do it well. They do it with their own style. And they also hate their former home state of New Jersey as well as tons of other things. This album rocks, raps, blows your mind, makes fun of Mr. Rogers and his mailman from the show, and features a guest performance by Vanilla Ice [or here, Rob Van Winkle].

Like it, love it, or hate: you will not bew indifferent to this work. By the way, try to get the older version on Cheese Factory Records that includes the song Yellow Fever: it is worth it.

5 out of 5 stars Goregous.......2007-04-03

I've been a long time fan of Hed Kandi before Mark Doyle left and when he did, I immediately became a Fierce Angel girl from the very first Fierce Angel album. Although, I still am a Hed Kandi fan, they really have their work cut out for them now, especially in Chill. This is an absolutely goregous chill album. I bought it the first week it was out and I'm still listening to it! With 3CDs and 13-14 songs in each CD, there is a wide area of Chill covered in Angels Fall. My personal favorites are "Sophia" by Nerina Pallot, "Little Things" by James Bright feat. Rachel Lloyd, "Warm Feels Warm" by Elektralow, "Warm" by Samantha Marais, "Fancy Robots" by Justine Electra, "Maybe" by Kaskade, "Hide Me" by Grandad Bob, and can seriously go on and on.

When it comes to Chill, I seriously doubt any other person could match Mark Doyle when it comes to compliations. I'm a Dance/Electroncia addict and I listen to many complications from other labels. None of them compare. Very Highly Recommended.

4 out of 5 stars A new chill CD from a master of the genre.......2007-03-29

A very good entry into the "Angels" line and one that I've been looking forward to. It's a very solid chill out album, with some truly exceptional tracks. I still can't get "Why" from disc 1 out of my head.
However, some of the tracks are familiar. This is, of course, a function of the genre and the more chill out cds one owns the more compounded the problem gets. Still, I would recommend this disc to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars Quality laid back tracks.......2007-03-27

I have been a big fan of the Hed Kandi Winter Chill albums for years. This compilation is perhaps the best chill album I have ever bought. Nicely collected mixture of vocal and instrumental tracks from a the mellow type of songs to the smiling tunes. Although I have had the CD's for 3 months, I have not been able to stop listening to them.

4 out of 5 stars Fierce Angel/Hed Kandi/Mark Doyle Newbie Here.......2006-10-12

I'd read several reviews on Hed Kandi and they made mention of Mark Doyle and moving to Fierce Angel. After some research I picked this album as I was looking for something cutting edge; something to bring me up to speed on the state of dance, trance, and house.

From beginning to end it is very well produced. The transistions are fluid and the song selection makes good sense. The lyrics are intelligent and paint a deliberate picture.

Not being familiar with Mark's style I was pleasantly satisfied with this compilation. Granted that this album is comprised as an annual I feel that it runs a little long. I'm not sure if that's a complaint or not - I've only given it a couple of playthroughs and am on my 3rd - in 24 hours!

5 out of 5 stars Stunning.......2006-09-05

As one of the Hed Kandi fans who have hopped over to Fierce Angel, I have to say that this is one of the most stunning mix albums that I have enjoyed listening to. A person can't go wrong with Mark Doyle's compliations and this mix album is no different. His choices are remarkable and I love listening to both familiar and new artists and songs. This mix is great for anywhere and anyone who wants to hear some great new music. I love listening when I'm working out and when I'm relaxing.

There are three CDs and these with a location and vibe to them. The first CD is called Poolside with some chill tunes from some great artists like Bonnie Bailey, Granddad Bob, and (my new favorite) Bob Sinclar feat. Steve Edwards. Poolside can be compared to Hed Kandi's Serve Chilled. The second CD is called the Base Bar, where the music is more uptempo and can be compared to Hed Kandi's Disco Heaven. The Base Bar CD is my favorite as I love to dance and workout to the rhythms. I have new favorites in artists like Jealousy, Etherfox, the fabulous Bassmonkeys feat. Naomi Marsh, Milk & Sugar, Simmonds & Christoper, Club, and older favorites like FatBoy Silm. Hands down, the Base Bar is the CD I put on for parties. The last CD is called The Electric Cabaret where the music gets nasty and dirty like Hed Kandi's Twisted Disco. Although this genre of dance music is not like favorite, but every now and then when it gets past 3a.m. and it's late, and the clubs are closing, I love to hear the Electric Cabaret. It just gets raw and I love it.

Overall, an excellent mix album that is very much showing to be both superior in taste and selection compared to Hed Kandi these days. The Ministry of Sound didn't improve Hed Kandi very much unfortunately. Very recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Stellar! Mark Doyle continues his musical greatness..........2006-09-05

As was the case with Hed Kandi, when Mark Doyle was at the helm, you could truly do no wrong by picking up anything they put out. Depending upon your preferences (Chill, Back to Love, Beach, Disco, Twisted Disco, etc), you were sure to find nothing but aural bliss.

So true was this with his Tokyo Disco/Project after his departure from Hed Kandi, taking with him artist Jason Brooks and a few dj's as well. Beautiful. His venture which now seems to be entitled Fierce Angel, is no different. The "Beach" set is amazing, but this Es Vive Ibiza set, which was also on Hed Kandi back in the day as well, is nothing short of amazing.

Dare I say, it is worth the price of this package alone just for the first disc. It is absolutely beautiful. I have not heard things of such beauty outside of a Bent cd, or perhaps something by Jose Padilla. Starting with tracks by Granddad Bob, others by Bonnie Bailey, Roger Sanchez, etc...it is all, incredible. Absolutely, completely gorgeous. First listened to it here on South Beach while the sun was still beautifully shining and reflecting off the Atlantic, yet from Miami itself, I could see dark storm clouds rolling in for some afternoon thunderstorms. In sun, in rain, this cd was perfect. So too was it at night, as the lights of downtown Miami began to flicker on from the back view of my rear penthouse balcony. Take a walk to the front of the house and open the doors to the front balcony, and I was met with the semi-moonlit night and the waves of the ocean gently lapping upon South Beach as this set continued to play, never changing the mood at all. Incredible.

Thank Mark Doyle for all you have contributed, and all you continue to contribute, to my life over these many years. It is deeply appreciated. This set is no exception and you will definitely appreciate it should you pick it up. I highly recommend it.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Does the name ever fit..........2006-11-08

...the name of the label, that is, because this set is both Fierce in its quality and beat-appeal, and Angel-ic in its ability to sooth and stimulate at the same time...
As someone who buys a ton of house compilations, including other good releases from Fierce Angel, I'm knocked out by this set, and it strikes me as possibly as good as any I've ever heard. It's rare (unheard of, in my experience) to find a 3-CD set in which at least one of the discs isn't a clunker, but all three of those in Beach Angel are very good.
The overall tone is one of smooth, sophisticated, melodic house, but in no way does the set forget about the beat. Great flow, wonderful vibe throughout, truly remarkable...
Mr. Doyle, you're amazing, and as a longtime fan and consumer of Hed Kandi and Tokyo Collection house compilations, congratulations on what is perhaps your best set ever!

5 out of 5 stars perfect summer companion.......2006-09-27

This compilation is just about as good as it gets. 3 CDs packed full with great tunes, starting more laid back, loungy, then growing into a blasting display of funky house, and finally moving on to some great classics of yesteryear. After the very good "Tokyo Disco", Mark Doyle once again proves why he is the master, and this is up to par with the wonderful Beach House 04.04 and 04.03 (I didn't really like BH 04.05 which I thought was a bit of a filler, too loungy and without the typical Doyle edge).

It is rather funny, but I think CD1 is the weaker of the bunch. There are quite a few good tunes here, don't be mistaken. This is music to listen in a sunny morning, when you're starting to sip margaritas and when the sun is shining brightest. My favorites are "One True Love" and "Always by my side", mainly because I love the vocals on both tracks and also because Eric Kupper is the master at making it sound oh-so-groovy. "This Way", "Turning", "Bonafide" and "Don't Let Love Weigh you Down" are also top-notch tracks. The others are ok, not amazing. I'd say this is a 4-star CD. Someone here said "consistent". I agree as this is a very tight group of tracks...

CD 2 is the one. As Mark writes on the sleeve: "takes the tempo up a notch as the third cocktail works its way into the bloodstream". Dab Hands' track is really cool and reminds me a lot of the atmosphere on Fatboy Slim's famous Brighton Beach set, which I love. Deepsky's "Ghost" might be my favorite tune in the whole box, a mellow groover with beautiful vocals and feel. It is followed by Andy Caldwell's "Brand New Day" which is no less amazing, once again great vocals and nice grooving bassline. The presence of "Sean" here puts me off though - it is also on Beach House 04.05 (an year-old record!) and on Mark's Tokyo Project CD1...come on, it is a good track but how many times do I have to buy it? The outputs of The Cuban Brothers and Mr. Grooves & Vergas are rather average for my taste, and then Ian Pooley has a track with nice vocals, followed by a massive tune by Peyton together with Eric Kupper - Peyton hardly ever gets it wrong, especially with Kupper's pianos! The last three tracks on the CD are all really good, "Back to Me" a solid mellow groover, "Changes" and "Devotion" showing the full range of Seamus Haji's skills, with this mix of "Devotion" being way better than the one found on Stereo Sushi 8. All in all, a very good disc, with just a few glitches. This is the one to put on when things start to move in the afternoon and the ladies want to dance...

CD 3 is a very good mix of Mark's former achievements. Being a fan of the Beach House series, I own every one of these tracks, but it is a pleasure to listen to them one more time, in a very thoughtful sequence. The only one I'm not really keen on here is "Flower Power", but that's just me - I find it dull and repetitive. My favorites are the great "Ever After" (Bonnie Bailey is something else), "Never" by Ray Roc with the great bassline and gorgeous vocals, the very funky and soulful "Back Together" and the amazingly beautiful "Central Reservation" by Beth Orton. If there were 6 stars, i'd give this CD all of them. If you want to know what the summer feels like, this is the disc...

overall a very good output by the Fierce Angels, as my title says, this is a perfect companion for a hot summer. Mark seems to have found his rhythm and groove once again, let's hope he keeps going like this.

5 out of 5 stars Mark is Back!!.......2006-08-05

The best of Mark Doyle is back .
After his success at Hed Kandi, he s back with the real thing.
Can't miss it .

3 out of 5 stars Mostly good, but some very poor inclusions - and it's not very beachy.......2006-07-08

Beach Angel is the second compilation from Fierce Angel, and the third compilation from Mark Doyle since he left Hed Kandi. This is unmixed, but the cover doesn't indicate this. "Tokyo Disco" was unmixed, and "Tokyo Project: The Collection" was mixed. I don't mind either way, but thought I'd point it out.

Anyway, onto the music.

CD 1 - Full Recline

Some great tracks here, including Cloud "Turning" (great vocals and piano), Tarot & Marbach feat. Dominique Boy "Freeway" (good vocals and melody, great beach feel), Studio Apartment feat. Stephanie Cooke "One True Love" (great vocals and chords but possibly a bit too long), and Clique feat. Bonnie Bailey "Always By My Side" (excellent vocals, chorus is particularly good).

Marks are lost however due to several rather dull and weak tracks: Afromystic "Miracles", Clique feat. Robina "Some kind of wonderful" and Richard Earnshaw "We've Got Joy" are just not quite what we've come to expect from Doyle. Still, this isn't a bad CD, and the beach theme is maintained throughout.

RATING FOR CD 1: 4/5

CD 2 - Upright

Hmm. This is a difficult disc to review. There are some top tunes here, most notably Dab Hands "Do Your Own Thing", Deepsky feat. Jes "Ghost", and Andy Caldwell "Brand New Day". However, these are not what I'd call beach tracks - they're a disco/trance hybrid. Don't get me wrong, they are well worth a listen - and don't be put off by the mention of trance. They are good. Just not really well suited to this collection.

Unfortunately, things get pretty bad in the middle of the CD. The Cuban Brothers "My Love Is Alive" is annoying and sounds cheap, s does Mr Groove and vergas "U Make Me Happy"; whereas Ian Pooley "Balmes" is terrible. Elsewhere, Aya "Sean" is good - but this was featured on Tokyo Project: The Collection - why the repeat here? Oh well, there aren't many other repeats on these first two CDs, I guess.

RATING FOR CD 2: 3/5

CD3 - Back to the Beach

Unlike the first two discs, this is a collection of Mark's "favourite classic tracks". Nothing new here, so I've considered the disc on the quality of the music rather than whether it's new or not.

Most of the tracks are great: Blue Six "Music & Wine", Flower Power "Flower Power", Kaskade "It's You It's Me", Ray Roc feat. Tina Arena "Never", Bonnie Bailey "Ever After", Beth Orton "Central Reservation"... the list goes on. Utterly fantastic.

The lesser tracks are few and far between: Hardsoul "Back Together" isn't bad but it's a bit cheesey; Petalpusher "Surrender" is background music at best; and Solstice "Lovely" is not overly special. But this third disc is still very good indeed.

RATING FOR CD 3: 5/5

OVERALL: Some absolutely stunning tracks are somewhat spoiled by the inclusion of some absolute stinkers. Often, it's a case of mistaken identity, as some trance and disco tracks are included. Not a true beach collection, although the third disc is excellent. RATING: 3/5

3 out of 5 stars Not exactly "Living On The Edge" but decent........2007-06-23

As the author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent" and a former radio disc-jockey, I am often asked to write and or discuss various recordings from the 60's and 70's.

"Fierce Heart" (May of 1983) had an impressive cast of characters in the studio. Joining Jim Capaldi was long time friend and Traffic alumni Steve Winwood, Mel Collins (Once of King Crimson) and Van Morrison.

Unfortunately, the formula that worked so well for Traffic in the studio and on stage (Varied styles of music that would always mesh and the ability to showcase artistic abilities far beyond the radio tunes) did not come to fruition here.

The album possesses rock, adult contemporary, and even a funky sounding tune. There aren't any weak links that make up the nine compositions (all Capaldi) but the only standouts are the two that received radio play. I remember having the same expectations for his solo record as I had for Traffic. The tunes that received FM attention were terrific but often the lesser known songs were of equal or greater value.

The strongest cut is the rocker that received a good amount of airplay from 1983 until 1987 "Living On The Edge." The tune is engraved in the brain from the first listening. This is where the other compositions needed to strive for. "That's Love" the other song that would gain mass radio attention on the Adult Contemporary stations is soft but not sappy. The vocals sound sincere as if it is written from experience and not pre-fabed to enter the pop charts.

"Don't Let Them Control You" throws a dose of funk into the mix. While it is good to hear Jim's diversification the song isn't strong enough to warrant the exploration.

If you are deciding to purchase the CD going in you'll have two songs already on the good list. The question becomes how many justify ownership?

Enjoy the music and be well,
        Craig Fenton
Author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent"

1 out of 5 stars One song does not make an album..........2006-04-20

FIERCE HEART is a one-song album. Besides "Living On The Edge", which I've enjoyed since first hearing it on the radio as a new song, FIERCE HEART has little reason to exist. "That's Love" may have some popularity as a single but it does nothing for me.

        4 out of 5 stars Finally Released, I wonder............2006-04-02

This album was released originally on Atlantic records in the US in 1983. In November of 2002, I digitally mastered an unopened LP record to digital format and made a CD of it at the request of a friend. I am highly supprised to find it on CD, released in august of 2004. It is not in the right song order, of course, but that may be a copyright issue. I would like to hear the CD to see what it sounds like. Did someone out there find it on a file sharing engine?

If this is my transfer, there may be just a few clicks every so often from the record. There is also a muffled noise-reduction copy of "that's love" floating out there, presumably from a broadcast cartridge tape or cassette of the era. This is not my transfer.

I have made a few technical improvements since the 2002 transfer, and had I known that it would end up on a CD, I would have done much more work on it. I have even found a way to get rid of the erase-head blurb on the intro to "that's love".

If you are Jim Capaldi and would like the real copy, rather than the mp3, please feel free to contact me via this forum, and I will send it to you at the cost of shipping. I don't share music files on those engines, but another person may have a copy.

I spend much of my spare time transferring records to CDs - Because there are so many that are not on CD, and:
Because the ones that were made into CD during the 1980's were mastered on the PCM-1600 series convertors which have inductive filtering that severely dulls the sound. Add to that ADDA 48Khz and then ADDA 44.1 Khz and you have millions of crappy CDs produced by major labels in the us. What's funnier is that there are many records released in England and Germany that were actually cut from CD or 44.1 khz CD masters.

Anyway, it would be really interesting to see if this was from my original record transfer.

        5 out of 5 stars Commercial Album?.......2005-03-15

This a great work for a great drummer and a music legend. Sad last work but keep love it "Electric Nights": Please reedited this cd

        4 out of 5 stars Commercially appealing.......2005-02-04

"That's Love" is the best composition as Jim Capaldi's solo work, to me. "That's Love" is the song that made me to play my keyboards to create my own recordings.

Some other brilliant songs are "Tonight You're Mine", "Bad Breaks" and "Runaway". Why Atlantic Records at the time decided to release "Living on the Edge" as the 2nd single? It should have been any of the songs listed above instead, to keep the AC audience momentum.
