"For me, music is a thirst that can't be quenched - a life-long passion. Growing up, my older brother Scott played records by Jimi Hendrix and Wes Montgomery. As a teenager, I found a musical hero in Miles Davis. At 22, I began playing with latin bands in New York City and fell in love with Brazilian music when I heard an album by the great samba singer Clara Nunes. Later I discovered artists like Suba and Thievery Corporation, mixing organic sounds and rhythms of the world with electronic textures and intoxicating grooves.
