If film and music fans sometimes wonder why soundtracks are often little more than pastiches of past pop hits and chart flavors of the moment, it's largely due to the blockbuster success of releases like this collection from 1987's surprise Patrcik Swayze/Jennifer Grey romantic hit. The film's retro-romantic concerns came shrewdly wrapped in a (largely manufactured) dance craze conceit tailor-made for such pop chestnuts as the Ronettes' "Be My Baby," the Zodiacs' "Stay," and the Five Satins' "In the Still of the Night." Mickey and Sylvia once again argued that "Love Is Strange"--if not quite as strained as Swayze's own attempt at balladry, "She's Like the Wind." Eric Carmen's "Hungry Eyes" showcased the former Raspberries leader to good effect, but the real soundtrack sweepstakes winner here was the Jennifer Warnes/Bill Medley duet "(I've Had) The Time of My Life." That performance not only won the Best Original Song Oscar the following year, but became one of the era's most performed songs and a ubiquitous radio staple. --Jerry McCulley

great movie and great soundtrack."Remember nobody puts baby in the corner"
A Nice Album........2007-01-26
It really feels good to have this album. I know this should come with the hits not included in the first volume but it's nice. This is a nice addition to the soundtracks collection.
Still love the movie ... still love the soundtrack.......2006-11-03
"Dirty Dancing" is still one of my favorite movies of all time. It managed to have a plot and wonderful music. You just can't sit still when this music is playing.

Twenty years of Dirty Dancing!.......2007-05-03
The Vestron film DIRTY DANCING is already twenty years old,in the aspect of production. August 14 marks the twentieth anniversary of its theatrical release. This CD features at least most of the material from the two soundtrack albums, including MORE DIRTY DANCING. The most memorable track,of course,is the Bill Medley/Jennifer Warnes duet (I'VE HAD THE)TIME OF MY LIFE. For more information, chack my review of the DIRTY DANCING soundtrack CD.

Customer Reviews:
Fabulous for any Broadway-lover.......2007-01-30
Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.
Top Shelf.......2007-01-04
This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.
TERRIFIC CD'S.......2006-03-23
THESE BROADWAY MUSICALS CD'S ARE A BROADWAY LOVERS DREAM. WITH EACH SONG, MEMORIES COME FLOODING BACK. BOTH THE FAMILIAR AND THE FORGOTTEN SONGS ARE A TRUE LISTENING PLEASURE. IF YOU LIKE BROADWAY, YOU'LL LOVE THIS SET.
Great Collection of Broadways greatest Songs .......2005-06-14
This Collection was perfectly made it has almost all the most famous Broadway songs on this 5 cd set. The Music is great and has Broadways greatest treasures like "Memory""People""With One Look""Give my regards Too Broadway" just to name a few of this numerous cd set with over 100 songs. This is a great buy if you like musicals or The music of Broadway
Great Compilation!.......2005-01-17
If you are a fan of the Broadway Musicals, this is a collection that you should purchase. Since I got the 5 disc set I've enjoyed listening to it. The majority of the songs are done by the original singers. The collection is priceless considering that you will have over 100 songs from popular musicals since the beginning of Broadway

Customer Reviews:
Better Than the Original.......2006-07-19
"Ultimate Dirty Dancing" is what the Dirty Dancing soundtrack should have ALWAYS been: ON A SINGLE CD!!! I had both the original soundtrack recording AND "More Dirty Dancing", but they were starting to show the effects of age and over-playing. The remastered soundtrack sounds just as amazing and enjoyable as it did when I first saw the film on its' opening day so many years ago. This is a perfect companion to the DVD and I recommend BOTH to anyone who loves the movie!
The Ultimate Dirty Dancing.......2006-03-18
I loved this movie the moment I first saw it and I loved the soundtrack even more. The great thing about this CD is it has every last song on it, from beginning to end. Including Kellermans anthem and the instermental part of "I've had the time of my life".
Ultimate Dirty Dancing: Ultimate to your Collection.......2006-01-18
I purchased this album in 2005, lost it in Hurricane Katrina, but I loved it so much that I want to buy it again. If you enjoyed Dirty Dancing and are a fan of what I like to call "new-age oldies" from the 60's and 70's, I encourage you to buy this collection. These are timeless classics you can dance and daydream to.. Your feet are gonna move and your mind is gonna flutter! This is essential to a collection of related genres. Generations to come are going to watch and love Dirty Dancing.. I don't think the film, or the music that gave it such heat, is ever going to sizzle out.
Sony/BMG. Come on, it could be better........2006-01-04
O.k fine, better than the original CD from 1987. But why is not included the Dance Mix of the song 'Yes' by Merry Clayton ?, which is mixed by John 'Jellybean' Benitez and is extremely hard to find on CD. Sony/BMG Great Job Guys!!!...as usual something is missing.
Great CD-it's like watching the movie!!.......2005-08-19
This is the ONLY Dirty Dancing CD that has all the songs from the hit movie. An added bonus is they are sequenced in the order that they appear in the film. So if you are a big fan of the movie, just listening to the music you can remember each scene. In all there are 26 wonderful tracks. Great edition to any Dirty Dancing collection and a must have to go with the new Ultimate Edition DVD. The version I have is the 'Hyper CD' which has some extra features that are accessed with your computer's DVD player.

Let's Dance!.......2007-02-10
One of the brightest artists of the 80's released his third album titled "Dancing on the Ceiling" was released in 1986. It was released at the heigh of his popularity and not surprisingly there would be more hits on this album. What few people knew was that this would be the last album to released in 10 years and the last really good album aswell. On the original album there was only 9 songs (here well find 4 songs in new versions). Hits include the uptempo hit "Dancing on the Ceiling" (#2) a little corny lyrics but a great memorable song that will keep you dancing. The reggaeish "Se La" and the ballad "Ballerina Girl" (#7). The best song without a doubt is the love song "Say You, Say Me" that shows Lionel's lyrics and melodism at it's best. It was feautured in the film "White Nights" with Gregory Hines (Rip). The song reached #1 on the charts and is one of his best love songs. "Love Will Conquer All" reached #9 on the charts, but it's a passable midtempo, another midtempo "Don't Stop" would have been a better choise as a single. Other songs are the sappy ballad "Deep River Woman", "Tonight Will Be Alright" and "Night Train", neither were that good. This album isn't better then hsi first two, but in follows the trilogy of great 80's Lionel Richie albums worth to pick up. Sadly this would be his last really good album and he would go on a 10 year hiatus from music after this. Needless to say, good album, good artist.
The only way to get all.......2006-08-26
Lionel's early hits is to buy his first three CD's. This is one of them, and there's extra value in the 12" version of "Dancing on the Ceiling". No compilation CD I'm aware of offers these verrsions, or the full versions as orignally released.
Dancing On The Ceiling........2006-03-10
I'm a fan of Lionel Ritchie, I've always liked his music especially his fast paced uptempo style. Thats why I purchased Dancing On The Ceiling.
The sound quality of this cd is excellent and enjoyable to me personally. I'm glad to incorporate this cd into my musical library.
Leonard Frazier
one tiny omission in an otherwise perfect reissue..........2006-02-08
I was thrilled to find I could finally replace all my vinyl 12" singles on 1 CD...but, not exactly ALL! There was a 12" version of "Say You Say Me" (one of the biggest singles on this disc), that ran only 30 seconds longer than the album version, and my guess would be that it's actually the ORIGINAL length Lionel recorded, but was perhaps cut down for the original vinyl LP release. Wish it had been put on here instead of the 4 minute version, because I can't see it ever seeing the light of day on CD anywhere else.
The ex-Commodore's third megahit!.......2005-02-24
This album is Lionel Richie's third solo and was a best-seller like its two predecessors,Richie's '82 self-titled debut and '83's CAN'T SLOW DOWN. On this CD,there are 5 bonus tracks following track 8 which is SAY YOU SAY ME. One of them is an outtake(track 9 which didn't appear on the original 1986 release) and the other four are alternate versions of some songs from the original track line-up. The title track really rocks. SE LA,DEEP RIVER WOMAN and BALLERINA GIRL are cool. LOVE WILL CONQUER ALL is a smooth groove. SAY YOU SAY ME is from the 1985 Columbia film WHITE NIGHTS. That song was released as a single and made its radio debut in November 1985(it first appeared on the WN soundtrack). The other songs are good. After this album,Richie stayed out the studio for six years due to financial troubles and an on-the-rocks marriage that would end in divorce.

On this 1993 album produced by John Porter, Taj Mahal applies his revivalist instincts and remarkably pliable voice to the classic rhythm & blues styles of the 1940s through the '60s. The program ranges from T-Bone Walker ("Hard Way") and Howlin' Wolf ("Sitting on Top of the World") to Fats Domino ("I'm Ready"), Otis Redding ("That's How Strong My Love Is"), and the Four Tops ("I Can't Help Myself"). Etta James sings a duet on "Mockingbird," while guitarist Johnny Lee Schell, bassist Bob Glaub, keyboardist Bill Payne, and drummer Richie Hayward provide tight and supple studio backing. --Rick Mitchell

Da Blues is Great.......2006-11-03
This CD is fabulous - It has a Taj Mahal's style of the blues written all over it- I especially love the remake of "Sugar Pie Honey Bun". Taj's style gets you moving and feeling the blues - but in a happy WAY! I find listening to this CD a motivational moving thing! I definitely recommend this CD for your blues collection!
Give me the Blues!.......2001-07-29
Taj Mahal gives us the blues through the years and makes it sound timeless. Every song is great, but my personal favorite is "Down Home Girl" Just makes me want eat a mess of soul food! This album is soul food!
Let's dance!.......2001-01-07
Dancing the Blues is one of my very favorite CD's by one of my very favorite artists Taj Mahal. It's great to listen to, great to dance to and every song is a living thing.
I first saw Taj Mahal in 1972 and was blown away by his performance and command and knowledge of the music that he played and sang. since then I have been lucky enough to see him two other times, on each occasion I received an education in the music as well as having an all out good time.
Dancing the Blues represents the energy, love and respect which Taj has for music. There is a wide range of music from the motown sounds of Taj's excellent version of the four top's "Sugarpie Honeybunch" (oh no I'm in junior high again)to Chester (the wolf) Burnett' "Sitting on Top of the World". I love Taj's version of Mockingbird, with the help of Etta James - there is nothing like it - I could listen to it again and again.
This is an album I strongly recommend for anyone who loves the blues.
One of the Best.......2000-10-02
This is one of my favorite albums. When I'm down, I like to play this album, and it cheers me up. My favorite song on the album is "Mockingbird." It makes me want to just get up and dance. Etta James and Taj Mahal are terrific!

The Jackson 5's final two Motown albums were both of their time--the early disco era--and an unwitting look into a future of dance-floor smashes like "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough." Dancing Machine quickly appeared as its title track (a remix of the Get It Together original) and it became one of the J5's biggest singles ever in early 1974. Hardly a slapdash release, it placed the hit between two thematically and sonically similar tunes ("She's a Rhythm Child" and "The Life of the Party") and offered the ambitious rock-disco fusion "I Am Love." Likewise, Moving Violation's biggest artistic successes were aimed straight at would-be hip shakers. A Brian Holland-produced remake of the Supremes' "Forever Came Today," "Body Language," and "Moving Violation" are the highlights, with a rare club remix of "Forever" the pick among two bonus tracks. --Rickey Wright
Customer Reviews:
One of their highly underrated albums........2006-07-18
I don't really understand Mowtown sometimes and this is why. While the Jackson 5 have had many hits with the label its seem as though Berry Gordy and the other label heads forget to promote songs that are actually better than the more famous singles. Case in point, the songs "Moving Violation" and "(You Were Made)Especially For Me" should have been hit songs of 1975. For some reason they always thought that other songs were better. They done a great job as a whole but sometimes they really leave you thinking. "Forever Came Today","All I Do Is Think Of You", and "Honey Love" are also great songs that were actually singles(except the latter) but did not receive the recognition that they deserve.
To me I actally believe this is their best album of their Motown releases. Every song is great and their is no filler here(believe it or not). Michael's vocals were in peak form, and Jermaine's coleads are remarkable as usual. If your a true Jackson fan or fanatic this album is a must have. The Dancing Machine album is also exceptional with standouts being the afformentioned title song, "I Am Love","Life Of The Party", and "Whatever You Got I Want". These are the last to albums with Motown before they left (minus Jermaine and with brother Randy) to sign with Philadelphia International/Epic. Two great albums one great disc, and a ton of hits you'll be singing for a while!!!
Could Mike still hit those notes?.......2006-04-24
Several things make these albums winners.I care enough to list em'
1) The group was clearly heading into the funk/disco era. There are some damn good dance tunes on both albums. However, there are two bubblegum songs on Dancin Machine. "If I don't love you this way" is one of them. Personally, I like this ballad, but the fact that Mike's voice was still in transition gives the song more of a childish feel. Both CDs have knockout songs and great ballads, but the Moving Violation album proves that the Bubblegum is gone for good.
2) Mike's voice is in peak form on these albums in my opinion. It's evident that his voice matured during the Dancin Machine recording sessions because he sounds more mature on some songs than on others (For instance, he sounds less mature on "What you don't know" than he does on most others) His voice wasn't childish at all on the Moving Violation CD. His voice was such an instrument. He could reach the top of his tenor voice in an instant. There's no falsetto, no hiccups, no grunting, no "hee-hees!!" The boy could SANG. Listen to "All I do is think of you" and you'll see what I mean. Damn, I wonder if he could still sing like that? Or was his voice change still incomplete? I'm not sure, but regardless, many of MJ's forgotten, but best vocal performances r on these albums. Quite honestly, the material is pretty good on both albums. I wonder why these albums flopped?
masterpieces from the jackson 5 .......2005-10-25
the dancing machine album is so great, I could listen to that without skipping a song. I love the instrument arrangment so much in I am love, dancing machine and what you don't know have great melodies and if I don't love you this way is a beautiful ballad that mary j blige covered a few years ago
moving violation is funky too but it's full of hits and misses. Body Language, Breezy, call of the wild and a couple others are great but it doesn't flow as well as dancing machine though I give it to them for bringing fans the funk in their music before leaving motown to join epic
The Aftermath of Dancing Machine.......2005-10-19
This was actually the very first of the 5 double album/single cd collection that i purchased, and it drew me closer to the Jacksons. Well, after 15 year old Michael Jackson gave the disco dancers in Black America a brand new Soul Train dance, the boys were still being disappointed with their albums. Relunctantly on these last two commercial Motown albums, the Jacksons give it one last try. On the critically acclaimed "Dancing Machine" album,Jermaine re-introduces his self on the openning track (as Tina Turner would say it,Slow and Easy in the beginning and Rough in the end) "I Am Love,Parts 1 & 2". Michael also joins him on the bridge part, but Jermaine takes over again. Michael then comes back with one of my favorite tracks on the album "Whatever You Got,I Want". Followed by that is Rhythm Child which is kinda like a preview to Dancing Machine. After that comes the all too familiar song that convinced all of us that Michael can actually dance on his own at his age,"Dancing Machine". With a pure and traditional R&B vocal arrangement over a mid-tempo bass-n-snare drive,it's no wonder this song was a hit, right along with the 20 second dance routine in the middle of it. Not only that, the harmony on the song is just as perfect as The Temptations trademark harmonizing. Dancing Machine gets followed by a much faster song and also another one of my favorite songs 2 run around the house and sing on called "Life Of The Party". Here Michael and Jermaine are at it again. The album finally comes down on a lighter note with "If I Don't Love You This Way" which actually makes sense if u pay attention to the lyrics, and the one song on the album where Jackie,Michael,Jermaine, and Marlon take turns to sing to their fans,"It All Begins And Ends With Love",this is also my mother's favorite song. A very beautiful and simple song to close your eyes and sing to,but in my opinion,i think this song could've done a little better if Michael stayed in the background (sorry...). The next album is fairly good and,to me,have only 5 singable songs on it. The amazingly good standout track on Moving Violation is "You Were Made (Especially For Me)" with both Michael and Jermaine on lead. It has such an infectious and addictively good groove to it,that me and my Ex-girlfriend from 2004 found ourselves singing it together - amazing, huh?. After that comes "Honey Love" which i believe has either Marlon or Jermaine closing the song out. Skip the next track and go straight to the BEST song on the album,"All I Do Is Think Of You". I just love how Michael finally lets go of his little kid voice and sounds GROWN!!! This is the point where i love how Michael's voice sounds cause its so mature and it's still pure and from his heart. After the beautiful music fades out,we shoot straight to my third favorite song on the album,"Breezy". Jermaine starts it off and Michael takes it to the chorus, but i'm not sure if that's Jermaine or Marlon who take it on the second verse, but i hope it's Marlon cause it would sound like him. All the rest of the songs on the album with the exception of "Through Thick and Thin" should've been replaced with the remake of "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" or any other original tracks. Other than that, these last two commercially released albums did me proud after purchasing this set. Long-live the Jackson 5....
The mature J-5 delivers again.......2005-08-28
This 2-fer CD, DANCING MACHINE and MOVING VIOLATION, is a continuation of the musical style that the "new" and now-older Jackson 5 had given us on GET IT TOGETHER, an excellent album where every cut clicks.
Although DANCING MACHINE (1974), entitled as such to capitalize on the success of the single (which was originally on GIT), has several different producers, they all attempted to keep the same theme in mind: to come up with funky and exciting sounds for the J-5, and that they do. Opening with the fantastic nearly eight-minute funk/rock dance groove of "I Am Love", you know that you are in for something special. Jermaine primarily handles the leads on this song, with Michael coming at the bridge. "Whatever You Got, I Want" is bluesy and has a slinky-type of feel with great lyrics. "She's a Rhythm Child" is basically a knockoff of "Dancing Machine", but it's not all that bad. The single edit of "Dancing Machine" is next, and nothing more need be added about the extraordinary appeal of this song.
Next is the J-5 dance classic, the quick-paced "Life of the Party", an all too-short song I would love to hear remixed to be a bit longer. "What You Don't Know" is another funky dance jam, then we have two great ballads back to back: "If I Don't Love You This Way" (Michael on lead) and "It All Begins And Ends With Love" (Jermaine on lead). DM closes out with "Mirrors of My Mind", keeping the funk/dance theme intact.
Most of the tracks on MOVING VIOLATION were produced by Brian Holland of Holland-Dozier-Holland fame. Holland had produced a great solo album for Michael entitled FOREVER MICHAEL earlier that year (1975), and it was a good move to extend that collaboration to producing some solid tracks for the J-5. Even though by this time, the brothers were not happy with Motown's treatment of them, MV is one of the best albums that they ever recorded. Not as funky as GIT or DM, but it is technically their last on Motown and Jermaine's last appearance with his brothers, so they did go out with a bang. An old Supremes track from 1967 that was not a hit for those ladies but did fairly well for the J-5, "Forever Came Today" was the big hit from this album. Reworked into a driving 6 minute disco anthem, "Forever" will have you looking for your dancing shoes. "Moving Violation" is another funky disco cut, with clever lyrics...reminds you of "The Love You Save" theme-wise. The sexy dance tracks "(You Were Made) Especially for Me", "Honey Love" and "Body Language" (another well-known track from this album) increasingly moved the brothers into more mature waters. Most notably, "Especially For Me" has a hint of the Philly Sound that the Jacksons would take on their first two albums for Epic/CBS. Michael's vocals on the gorgeously harmonious "All I Do Is Think of You" are simply beautiful and further proves that his voice made a seamless transition from boyhood to adolescence. "All I Do" is the only ballad on MV and a Quiet Storm radio classic, and still extremely popular today. The final three tracks, "Breezy", "Call of the Wild" and "Time Explosion" has futuristic touches of lite jazz and rock, material the brothers began to get into way back on GIT and on "I Am Love" from DM.
Two bonus tracks are included as well: a sweet ballad with Jermaine on lead vocals, "Through Thick and Thin", sounds like a throwback to the SKYWRITER album - and another mix of "Forever Came Today", although I can't really hear much difference between this one and the original, except that the second half of the song is completely instrumental.
These two albums together are a perfect combination! As much as I enjoy the J-5's earlier classic work, I feel DM/MV are far more interesting and artistically challenging. If you love dance music and the Jackson 5, then this is the CD for you!! Party over here!!

Well worth it.......2006-08-15
This DVD is well worth the price the music selections make it very easy to use depending on your mood. I would highly recommend it.
In love with it!.......2006-08-09
Really nice CD, it just combined in a nice way everything I was looking for in a music for strip-dance.
First of all, it's a good music (and hot!), I like to listen to even without stripping, just like a normal good-quality CD.
Second, there are several sets of the music on the disc (Hip-Hop, R&B, Instrumentals, Dance) that allows to choose the music which better corresponds to my mood, and perform different styles of strip-dance. (that's really good cause I don't need several CDs)
Finally, good point is that there are no gaps between the songs, and they go smoothly one into another. It's really an advantage when you performing your dance!

So far the best Taylor album.......2003-12-11
If you only know Taylor as a dance diva - this album is Taylor as a
souldiva. She covers Barry White's "Can't get enough of your love" and other
singles were "I'll wait" and "Say a prayer". If you do not know Taylor at
all: Anastacia is pretty much like a Taylor double - just that I (and many
others) like Taylor more, so you cannot really compare them :) This album
has beautiful ballads like "If you were mine" and "The door to your heart".
Taylor's voice is amazing ! Rumours say that she works on a new studio
album. That would be great
Taylor totally shifts to soul diva mode.......2003-08-16
By 1993, Taylor Dayne's shift to soul was complete, although Ric Wake's sound isn't as crucial here. Despite his producing or co-producing five songs, remix master Shep Pettibone and Clivilles and Coles (C & C Music Factory) do justice in giving her a newer sound. Further good news: there are more ballads for Taylor's voice to exercise emotional lung power, which she does better on this album.
The first evidence of Taylor's new sound comes from the Pettibone--produced and co-written "I'll Wait", which features held down wall of sound organ-synth a la Pet Shop Boys in some parts, while the funky bass and soul flavour pepper the chorus. Her voice has gone beyond her previous effort, Can't Fight Fate.
A ballad so early? Great! "Send Me A Lover", produced by Humberto Gatica. This is a medium-intensity power ballad, with a sound similar to Aerosmith's "What It Takes", though not as raucous.
Her cover of the recently-departed Barry White's "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" is a retread, duplicating the classic disco of the original, which may explain why it stalled in the Top 40, but her husky voice does the song justice.
The mid-paced "Dance With A Stranger" is a cross between Berlin's "Take My Breath Away", mimicking the synthesizer, with rhythmic bits from Kim Carnes "Bette Davis Eyes."
"I Could Be Good For You" was penned by Diane Warren, where given the innate loving character
Shep Pettibone puts his 80's disco flavour on "Say A Prayer" and the title track. Honestly, it's Taylor's potent voice and some above average synth arrangements that puts this head over another Shep Pettibone-produced album, Madonna's impersonal and freeze-dried Erotica.
"The Door To Your Heart" is the other Diane Warren song and it gives Keith Washington another heartfelt ballad, the first being his collaboration with Kylie Minogue in "If You Were With Me Now."
"Someone Like You" is typical dance filler going through the motions, but that's followed by "Memories", a great soul ballad enhanced by a gospelish backing vocals from Taylor and Lotti Golden. The closing ballad "If You Were Mine" was produced by Narada Michael Walden, and giving her Whitney Houston-type gospelish sound does her justice. Her voice rings out the best here.
A shift from total reliance from one producer, two great Diane Warren songs, more soulful ballads, and a classic disco cover really helps Taylor Dayne outdo her previous release, Can't Fight Fate. Lyrically, nothing memorable, the usual love cliches, but they are enhanced by Taylor's improved voice. A pity this album wasn't highly regarded. Oh, and the entire sleeve unfolds to reveal a full-sized portrait of Taylor. Nice touch. Rating: 4.3 out of 5.
Solid Effort...Underrated.......2003-03-27
Taylor Dayne was definitely on her way to super stardom status in the early 90's. She already had an impressive seven top 10 hits under her belt and two multi-platinum albums. But unfortunately music took a sharp turn around the time of this album's release so it unfortunately didn't get the attention it deserved. The album was by no means a failure. It did go gold and gave Ms. Dayne a top 20 hit with her excellent cover of "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love." It's also home to one of her best songs, the soulful and catchy dance track "I'll Wait." The version on here is superior to the remix on her "Greatest Hits" album. "Say A Prayer" is another highlight and so is the incredible ballad "Send Me A Lover" which is an unrealized song if ever there was one.
Taylor Dayne evolved with her artistry and unfortunately stopped getting the mainstream success she had in the late 80's and early 90's. Still, a very good album.
Good Songs.......2003-01-30
Taylor's third album witnessed greater maturity in artistry. Her vocals are just as good here as they are on her previews albums. She shows control over her voice and does it well. There are beautiful ballads like "Send Me a Lover", "Door to My Heart", and "If You Were Mine" as well as bonafide club/dance tracks like "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe", "I'll Wait", "Soul Dancing" and the mid tempo dance track "Dance With a Stranger". She sings with strong soulfullness and exibits depth. Not as good as the magnificent "Naked Without You", but still a very good album, a worthwhile addition to your music collection.
APPEALING!.......2002-07-04
Her most under appreciated album to date ,but her very best only to "Naked Without You ". Every song is lovely from beginning to end . ANYONE that's into R&B / Dance music should most definately get this 'cause you will love it . I also recommend the following cd's from similar artists: Pebbles- "Straight From the Heart" ,Expose- "Expose", Kim Wilde- "The Singles Collection 1981 - 1993",Shana- "I Want You",The Cover Girls- "Satisfy", Karyn White- "Make Him Do Right" ,Johnny Gill-"Let's Get the Mood Right",Lita Ford- "Stilleto",& Kristine W.-"Stronger".
