            Groovestation 5 is the best edition of Groovestation yet. The standout songs are #'s 5-9, because it is like a non-stop R&B megamix. The rest of the CD is awesome as well. The only fall-outs on this CD is the very last track by the Crash Test Dummies, and the track by Natalie Imbruglia. They serve no purpose on this CD, since they do not have a beat to groove too like the rest of the album. Other than those 2 songs, this CD is AMAZING and worth every penny, esspecially since all of the songs are mixed 2gether. Get this CD!!

            Once again Chris Sheppard has produced an unbeliveable dance album. 70 minutes pure dance and techno. But Groove station 6 is better. To bad it's only available in Canada!

            The focus of this collection is on two dates made by Al Sears. His band features Ellingtonians, and are probably the finest recordings Sears made under his own name. Also featured is Wild Bill Moore and his swinging octet. Moore's characteristic upper register playing and unusual tone grace all his tracks. While he was widely known and influential, especially for his recordings with Paul "Hucklebuck" Williams, Moore has not been well represented on LP or CD re-issues. His presence here is indeed welcome.

            This would be a great CD to throw on during your party if you wanted some dance music. The remixed songs are very well done and the transitions are nice. This album has a good mix of hip hip and techno-style songs and they are ordered for a smoothly-flowing party. When I DJ for parties, I use this CD for its transitions from low BPM (~90) to high BPM (~130) which are pretty tricky to do live. In all, this entire CD is great for well-mixed, popular dance music at a party without the hassle of mixing yourself.

            This is a great CD with lots of latin tunes that can really get a party going. I love the Maria Maria remix and also, the STOP! remix of Crazy. The latin tunes like Mucho Mambo make it a really great CD for a hot summer party. I like the CD and think that anyone who is looking for a pumping party mix should pick this one up.
