I just recently saw this movie and the only thing I could think about afterwards was that I had to get this soundtrack. I'm not usually a big fan of movie soundtracks, but this cd is unlike any other out there, soundtrack or not. The use of strings and carnaval type instruments is completely unique and makes this a must by for any fan of music.

Rented the movie on reccomendation from Netflix, it was pretty good. But the music was the star of the show. The soundtrack follows the course of the movie pretty closely, it's kind of like listening to the movie. Each track brings to mind a specific scene in the movie. One of the highlights is the ecclectic treatment of Burt Bacharach's "Close to You". Most will remember the super-sweet Carpenter's version, but this interpretation was the main reason I bought the music. Unusual augmented chord progressions and almost minimalist format (complete with the mechanical background sounds made by the female jack-in-the-box-like, life-sized, mostly metal toy dressers) make the tune as captivating as in the movie when they 'convert' the trapped Helena into the black princess. Great music to play while relaxing, too.

This soundtrack is truly a delight to listen to. It ranges from quirky circus music to deep and melodic mysterious tunes. It is a great CD to relax to and to use as background music for most any relaxing time hanging out with friends.

I do agree that the name of the CD is really silly, and detracts from the overall quality of the work. The CD would better have been named for Jackson Berkey's composition, Native American Ambiances. It is a beautiful and usual work that is well worth hearing.

It seems a shame to use such a stupid title for a CD of great music recorded by a great ensemble. 'Tis a pitty to be silly.

    Maxim's solo album is on the way, and every REAL Prodigy fan is desperately waits for it.'My Web' is quiet interesting single, because it's surely not The Prodigy. Maybe My Web itself sounds quiete Prodigy thing but mostly, Maxim's music can be described as ElectroBreaks from 80's meets anarchy of 90's. Cybernetic Hiphop, following their Diesel Power vibe. Very Very GOOOODDD

    First of all, anything that is released by a Prodigy member should be bought! They are simply the best band and I recomend this one to you all. My Web is a great song. Its bass lines and beats are superb and powerful. Its got that dark sound to it, like most of Prodigy's music. It is a must buy!!!

    This is some great techno-ish music. It's somewhat like Juno Reactor, but different enough to be original. Maxim is a member of The Prodigy. Liam Howlett (main writer for The Prodigy) also was involved with this CD, mixing the vocals in my web. However this is almost all Maxim's work. Even though this CD is from a Produgy member, it is different from The Prodigy. I have only two problems with the CD. One, five tracks (really four) isn't a whole much. Second, the jewel case for the CD isn't very sturdy. It's more fragile than those FLP cases that most Prodigy singles come in. I would have given it a five if it were longer, but overall it's a very good start for Maxim. I say BUY IT!

        These are great songs! My favorite is Did You Feed My Cow. My daughter's preschool class learned it and it was the funniest, cutest song. Even my 2nd grader got a kick out of singing it.
