Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Solid series, solid album.......2005-05-04

If you've been fortunate enough to attend any of the All Tomorrow's Parties Festivals, you have some idea of what you're in for with this album. The goal is to showcase each curator's favorite artists, and leads to some interesting combinations. Not everyone likes this variance, and if you're looking for a bunch of artists that sound like the curator, this series probably isn't for you. If the curator is someone you like, however, it can be fascinating to see what influences them.

Also - this IS NOT the Sonic Youth curated ATP 1.1 which was in Los Angeles in 2002. Note the big "UK" on the cover. Sonic Youth did later co-curate with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks at Camber Sands in 2004, after this was released.

4 out of 5 stars a solid record.......2002-05-19

First of all the track listing here isnt even close to being right (its obviously the Sonic Youth one.) Oh well, a minor ... oversight. Despite not knowing what is on it you should consider getting it anyway. I like almost all of the songs on it. Some are really super good, some are ok, one of them is pretty near bad but all in all its good. I like it more than the first two All Tomorrows Parties cds. At least Steven Malkman or whatever his name is isnt on this one.
