This is a fine CD of the brilliant Christian Vander and his Jazz quartet playing some wonderful John Coltrane inspired music at the Sunset club in Paris in October of 1999.

From my experience, Christian Vander and his projects are always well worth a listen and this CD is no exception. However, strange as it may sound, I find Yannick Rieu's tenor saxophone slightly distracting...and I prefer Christian Vander's jazz trio (sans saxophone) to this augmented Quartet version.

Still, you can never go wrong with Christian Vander, and I would never part with this CD. What a shame the price is so exorbitant.
