just terrible. no energy. no pizazz. no purpose.

don't bother. and some of the worse liner notes ever - you don't even know the names of the (undoubtedly) pay for play musicians they rounded up to record this bit of fluff.

i only bought it 'cuz it was cheap. it wasn't worth my curiosity...

Coming through now boring doomers like Yes and New Model Army, I have learned to admire Cher's life-loving lyrics and music. What a power in this wonderwoman's voice! It takes me back to those days in the sixties when music was all that mattered to me. Now, with everyday life a drag of money-making and household-duties, this album takes me back to where I'm at my best: sweet oblivion! Anyone into Britney, Madonna or Dolly is invited to this party! Cher, I want you to mother my children!

Cher is bigger than the writing on most of her hits. She is a genuine charismatic performer. This cd is a musical tribute, but is boring generic and more of a cartoon than a musical experience. I urge only hard core collectors to buy it for esoteric reasons. It would be fun to see a tribute by interesting diverse accomplished performers and really have a tribute..A nice idea, but no cigar!
