From the Artist
fuck all hail from oakland, a seaport city which, because its sailing men bring in the latest hit singles from canada, is the hippest pop music spot in america. they wear poodle poo haircuts that date back to ancient england, and suits with sewn-on feet which they've made the newest rage. ted ellison plays electric bass guitar, tim prudhomme rhythm guitar and harmonica, geoff soule electric lead guitar, kyle statham drums, and all four of the boys sing. they also work piano, hammond organ, tambourine, mouth organ, arabian bongos and claves into their act. that's ted doing lead vocal on san jacinto and cobra lullaby and the double track solo on mr. do. tim does the lead vocal on the intro to alright. geoff and kyle are the soloists on mama get out of the way here comes the train and how come no more kool-ade? respectively (both of which were sadly cut from the final production master of the record).
Product Description
Latest full-length album on Smells Like Records from Fuck, the band. With stylistic nods to out-rock architects like Can and Meat Puppets, and a pop sense that owes as much to the Platters as the Pixies, the album hazily unfolds its majestic mojo in a 35-minute, 15-song serenade of soulful indie rock. Digi-pack. 2001 release.

Customer Reviews:
As good as any previous F**k CD.......2006-01-20
I personally own all of their CD's, and enjoy them all. Their band name does not suggest the type of music they actually play. I wonder if they ever tour Ohio??..........hmmmmmmm. Anyway, this album goes right up there with "Pardon My French". Their latest release, "Those Are Not My Bongo's" is my least favorite, but still worth it.
Mr. Music Should Be Lynched.......2003-12-15
Okay, if you hate music (i.e. you watch the Grammys and vote on TRL) you should not be supporting this band. They are dangerous to mediocrity. I was drawn to this band by their name alone (which I suppose makes me a horrible person) but after buying Pardon My French, I realised that these guys weren't just the proud owners of a hilarious band name. Their music is deep minamalism with very catchy hooks and sometimes pavement-like vocals. If you're like me or own any of this band's music, start accepting the fact that geniuses like F*ck will never be famous or get the attention they deserve, but it's their fault for not sounding like anything on the radio. They seem to enjoy what they're doing, and that's what counts.
This seems to be their most well recorded album and the vocals aren't too shabby either! I knocked off a star because of that annoying noise on one of the last tracks (you know what I'm talking about).
Buy this album and piss on MTV! (and Mr. Music)
good stuff, i'd say.......2003-08-06
another great record from an old-fashioned real live rock-and-roll band. just close your eyes and listen. if you don't like this, cover your ears and stick to watching good ol' MTV. i'll also add that tim's "with the hole dug" is also good listenin'.
My offsetting review.......2002-09-15
Admittedly, I think this album should get only three and a half or four stars, but I feel the need to offset Mr Music's stupid one star review after NOT HAVING LISTENED TO THE RECORD! I have, and think it's pretty good. Hey, these guys know they won't be invited to TRL anytime soon. For me, "Flowers" and "Awright" are the outstanding tracks.
Just listen to it........2002-02-28
I wish people like the previous reviewer would shut the f*&k up.
Besides, he didn't even review the CD! Should that "review" be allowed on this page? But, in his defense, i guess it's people like him that deny us the opportunity to hear great new bands and instead force us for our own good to enjoy Britney Spears and N'Sync. Thanks dude.
Anyway, the album is good. Just read any reviews online by people who aren't afffffrrrrraaiid of the band's name.
