Eventually Something Cool Will Happen

Editorial Reviews
Colin Helms, CMJ New Music Report 6/15/98
Featuring 15 of the strongest Snowmen songs to date. "...a true gem of a pop record, centered around Marquis' understated song craft and inventive use of skewed guitar tunings and odd-key melodies. There's a languid shy beauty floating through each song here, and Marquis' moody presence does nothing to take away from the rich slivers of psychedelia that taint and enrich his voice and the band's gloriously off-center riffs."

Product Description
"Eventually something cool will happen" is the first release of any kind for Fiver. They hang out in Modesto, California, which may explain how the record ended up being produced by the front guy from Grandaddy, Jason Lytle. The band has no press, no bio, no promo photos. It's just five guys living in a big house, all sharing their strong desire to make music. Can it get any less cluttered than that? Description for Snowmen "last days of the central freeway"

5 out of 5 stars This CD rocks with alternately gentle and savage grace.......1998-12-01

These songs have it all: hooks galore, expressive guitars, tweaked out keyboards, a solid rhythm section and plenty of surprises. Not overly serious, but not flippant either. It's got that Pavement meets Brian Wilson thing going on, but with a moody, intimate vibe that's all its own. Good fun for the whole family!

5 out of 5 stars watch out......here they come!.......1998-11-19

this isn't your fine tuned rock n roll band...this is whole hearted new school with a taste of the classics to spin you completely around until you'll agree........they're on thier way above the rest....and there ain't no stopping them!....
