Alejandro Amenabar, the Spanish genius behind "Open Your Eyes" and "The Others" came back in 2004 with the movie "Mar Adentro" ("The Sea Inside"), which earned him an Oscar for Best Foreign Movie. However, it is not as common knowledge that he writes the scores to his movies, and this one was no exception.

With a story taking place in Galicia (a provice to the north of Spain, which was exposed to Celtic influences), it is no surprise that the music to the movie is loaded with sounds that will remind you of James Horner's score for "Braveheart". However, it is balanced with more subtle musical moments that bring to mind the score maestro Ennio Morricone wrote for "Cinema Paradiso".

If you liked the movie, you will love the soundtrack, and if you enjoy the soundtrack, you will fall in love with the landscapes it accompanies in the movie. As if in a symbiotic fashion, the two don't seem to be able to live without each other. And we all win, by getting a fantastic soundtrack to an even better movie.

    UK pressing of this 2006 release, the third album from Long Island's Brand New featuring one bonus track: 'Luca' (Reprisal Version). Formed in 2001, Long Island's Brand New have built a massive cult following, largely from a notorious live show and relentless touring. The band's two previous albums (released on indie Triple Crown) have sold over 750,000 copies in the USA. Brand New's last album (Deja Entendu) is considered by many as one of this decade's breakout rock releases. 'The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows' became a favorite with MTV and Fuse, as well as a staple with many Modern Rock stations. Its follow up single 'Sic Transit Gloria' became a massive underground hit, fueled by a Marc Webb directed video.           Trisha Yearwood celebrates her 10th anniversary in the music business with the release of her latest album, Inside Out. This album represents a decade of growth, both musically and personally for Yearwood, who has earned the right to be recognized as one of Nashville's leading ladies.

          As an artist, Yearwood repeatedly speaks about strong women and their approach to life. This album is no exception with tracks like the no-regrets, 'I Would Have Loved You Anyway'; the no-nonsense 'Love Me or Leave Me Alone'; and the reflective 'I Don't Paint Myself Into Corners". This particular track includes a special appearance by Vince Gill on background vocals.

          The title track from this album "Inside Out", once again pairs Yearwood with Don Henley. Fans of the Henley/Yearwood coupling on 'Walkaway Joe' will be pleased with the reunion of these artists. Co-written by Bryan Adams and Gretchen Peters, this is a song about the depth of love and wanting to know all you can about someone. Together, Yearwood and Henley deliver strong and appealing harmonies.

          Additional notable highlights include the remake of 'Seven Year Ache' with Rosanne Cash and 'When We Were Still in Love' which was recorded live in the studio with only a piano and string quintet accompaniment. Not many artists could include this type of live performance on their albums, but Yearwood pulls it off beautifully.

          As an album, Inside Out, is a winning combination of heartache, tenderness and just a certain amount of attitude ('For A While') that is pure Trisha. Always one to put her heart and soul into her music, Yearwood once again offers a glimpse of herself that personalizes the songs and attracts her listeners. Trisha Yearwood fans feel as though her songs reflect their own feelings and once again, she has created an album that people can relate to and will enjoy.

            This song has DMX & NAS in it, and let me just say it is some of thier finest...Mary comes through likie a bullet to the heart, the beat is off the hook - to me this is one of Mary's best songs and the least distributed.

            Get this gem while you can...its hard to find (not in any stores) and online is mostly import.
