About the Artist
Former RCA recording artist Jeff Coffey has a new solo venture that features his distinctively powerful voice, through soaring melodies and solid songwriting. The rich sounds of his music will undoubtedly find themselves right at home on the Pop and Rock airwaves. "I don't want to sound like everybody else, and I certainly don't want every song I play to be more of the same thing. For me, the more curves there are on the road …………….. the more fun it is to drive."

Jeff has made a life of music, touring and performing with such artists as Blessid Union of Souls, Hootie and the Blowfish & Vertical Horizon just to name a few. Jeff's recording credits include working with such great producers as Keith Olsen (Fleetwood Mac, Whitesnake), John Kurzweg (Creed, Puddle of Mudd), Justin Niebank (John Mellencamp), and Stan Lynch (Don Henley). He has also been featured on many radio shows, such as "Acoustic Café" out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, "Artist Features" on WMMO 98.9 as well as "The Scott and Erica Morning Show" on MIX 105.1 in Orlando. Most recently, Jeff's music has been spun on the Local Blend Music Show in Detroit, Native Noise on WJRR 101.1 and on Real Radio 104.1 in Orlando.

Having recently completed tracks for a new CD at Transcontinental Studios in Orlando with successful producer Joe Smith, many of the songs have already found their way to other formats. "Pop Goes the World" is prominently featured in the new independent movie Stealing God, Directed by Dave Swuz of Springfield Films. Also, "Write About Me" is featured in the new Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (PlayStation 2) video game Sweet 16 Licensed to Drive.

With the new CD out and many packed shows at feature venues in Orlando (Hard Rock Live, House of Blues) Jeff Coffey has established himself as a prominent force in the local music scene. The undeniable heart-and-soul of this new up-and-coming artist is evermore present in his voice and he has set out to introduce himself and his music to the industry. "I knew that I would never be happy doing anything else. Honestly, I plan to be making music until I physically can't anymore."

I ran across this while visiting Arkansas. There is not really a gem on here, but it has a lot of good stuff on here. "Always" is the best song on JC's self titled release. I would say for an indie release this is a lot to offer. The downfall if I may say is the lyrics. Don't get me wrong the cd rocks, but I see and could feel more to come from him. Jeff Coffey is a good artist with vocals and musicianship.

After seeing them play live I got my grubby hands on thier CD. I have not stopped listening to it. Jeff Coffey has powerful vocals and you can understand every word he is singing, the harmonies are not overpowering and compliment the songs, like hand to glove. The CD has not been over produced and it was great that they sound very similar to the CD as when they play live.

The first track 'Say I' is a rocking anthem, everytime I hear it I raise my hand and say 'I'.

Pop Goes the World is a catchy fun song making fun of reality TV and I am forever singing it at work.

Anyway is a song about how music brings back memories and you want to reminise about past good times.

Always is the longest track, it is sweet and heart wrenching.

There is something for everyone including CD-ROM interviews and live concert footage. This CD is a must for your collection no matter what age you are.

Great CD!.......2003-05-14

Well, I have never written one of these, so please be patient with me. I was sent a copy of the CD of an up and coming band named Jeff Coffey. Well I have listened to it (over and over and over) and thought that it is a really great CD, with great songs, greats beats and of course great singing.
The songs on this cd are very upbeat, not too serious, just really great easy listening and good rock music. In my opinion, this band should make it pretty far, and hopefully they will. I F you dont have the CD yet, GET IT!! You won't be disappointed.

No pop/rock CD collection would be complete without this Jeff Coffey CD. It is a future classic! It's tracks could fit well on any radio station playlist. Jeff's mastery of songwriting combined with the strength of his voice are what makes this an awesome CD!
His diversity as a songwriter is evident here from the anthem style rocker, "Say I", to the touching song of love and loss, "Always". There are uptempo songs with catchy choruses like, "Carousel", and "Write About Me". "Pop Goes The World" is a fun, quirky song about reality television. You can almost feel yourself float away as the song "Anyway" carries you back on a sentimental journey. Every song on this CD attests to his musical talents.
The CD-ROM footage with interviews and live concert versions of "Secret Love Affair" and "Write About Me" is a real treat! I was there when they were filmed, and it is a a joy to watch the performances again and again. This is a must have CD for any rock/pop collection.
