Hard to track down, but well worth it if you enjoyed his debut.......2007-05-08
As many other reviewers, I'm enjoying this album better than the first. Kurt's voice is excellent on both albums, but this time around we find a singer-songwriter putting his heart into it. Every song here is written or co-written by Nilsen, a bit less radio-friendly album, but with more depth than the first, these songs just seems more true to who Kurt is (at least from what I can gather about him). The production is often stripped down this results in a better, albeit less commercially successful album.
Very different from the first album.......2006-02-23
I was really taken by Kurt during the televised World Idol competition on TV and pursued his first CD very persistently until I was finally able to get it (it wasn't available in the US for a long time). I really liked it a lot. But I love this album. The first one was excellent pop music. This one is personal. Listening to the mournful words and delicate, sad melodies, I had a feeling something had gone wrong in Kurt's personal life to generate these tunes. On his website, a note near the bottom states that Kurt's relationship of 11 years with the mother of his two children didn't make it through his rise to world notice. He has turned his personal grief into beautiful, moving music that continues to pull me; I listen to this album just about every day and I am not the kind of person that usually does that. I just keep wanting to hear these lovely songs one more time. And Kurt's voice...well, if you're bothering to read this far, maybe you, too, are already a fan of his incredible voice. He has a unique tone that just kills me and he knows how to use it; he is so expressive and seems in total control of the effects he's creating with his voice. I just love him. Can't say enough good things about this album.
Better than the First.......2005-06-26
This is a great album. I liked Kurt's first CD but this is very, very good. I think Kurt's found his element. His voice is in great form and he sounds extremely comfortable singing his songs. Recommended buy.
AMAZING!.......2005-04-01
Kurt is probably the greatest artist the world have ever seen. This album is just unbelievable. Buy it!

Simply...whow.......2005-06-22
I know I might be a bit biased being a norwegian like Kurt, but this album is just superb. Kurt Nilsen has a voice that would be the envy of angels. The control and quality of his vocals combined with his songwriting is a combination that shows that he belongs up there in company with the best musicians of today.
My only regret for buying this album (I bought the one with the bonus track) is that I didnt buy it before.
I found this to be AMAZING..........2005-02-18
I purchased this CD in the month of it's release...and I'm still listening to it. All of the songs are amazing, and I can honestly say that they never get boring at all. I suggest this to anyone who enjoys the work of a great artist!
What a talented, wonderful surprise!.......2005-02-05
My husband and I were blown away last year by Kurt's win on "World Idol." His rendition of U2's "Beautiful Day" is better than the original. He has a sweet yet rockin' voice that playfully pulls you in with his angst, his strong lyrics and unbelieveable voice. BUY THIS CD!!! It's been in constant rotation at our house for a year, and we are still diggin it. WHY ISN'T KURT IN THE MAINSTREAM? He's my favorite -- he'll be yours, too.
Best record of 2004!.......2004-10-09
Like others I happened upon the World Idol show on tv and got blown away by the hobbit-plumber from Norway, Kurt Nilsen. I found myself voting for Kurt like crazy that night, and I'm not one to power-vote. I'm a fan of distinctive male voices like Bono, Peter Murphy, David Sylvian...and Kurt's voice is right up there with the best. I bought his CD unpreviewed from Amazon.com, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. "I" is now in constant rotation at my house. Kurt performed live in metro DC at the Birchmere on Dec 2, 2004 to a sold-out house, his first appearance in the USA. I hope his first concert in the States will be the beginning of very big things for Kurt Nilsen on this side of the pond! BMG has got to start distributing this amazing talent...Kurt's records should not have to be bought as imports!
incredible voice!.......2004-10-04
Kurt nilsen is one of the best voices out there....he could sing itsy-bitsy spider and still have the same effect as he does singing one of the great songs off this album. The songs are good, but it's his singing that makes them great:)
