Better than Phillip Glass!.......2005-05-07
For some time I have thought that Basil Poledouris's score for *Big Wednesday* was among the best in the genre. Unfortunately, fans of this work have had to make do with the so-so sound quality of the home video versions.
This CD was lovingly remastered from the original studio sessions. The sound quality is simply breathtaking. Even the DVD movie sound is only a pale shadow in comparison with this CD.
I was especially delighted by the alternate and extended arrangements, which include the original versions of pieces that had to be shortened and simplified to work in the movie.
The linear notes are extremely well-written and informative. I learned more about *Big Wednesday* from this CD than from any other source.
Kudos to Film Score Monthly for releasing such an important soundtrack in such a fine edition!

the debut single from the newest boyband from orlando, florida, oh man, giving 5 stars is hard, they deserved more!!!!!
the minute u listen to the music from the first few second, u'll like it! it's weird that i found some people don't like the song saying that the lyrics r rude or whatever the reasons r but then, they can accept songs with explicit lyrics. weird, ha?
this is a song which describe a guy's dream girl with the perfect in everything, singing nice about some of the top female stars in hollywood, this will rule ur stereo!
if u got this single, good job, get the album, u'll like it! if u got the album but did not get this single, well, this one really worth a buy!
Liquid Dreams.......2001-08-31
I'm a huge O-Town fan and I bought 7 of these singles. I was lucky and I did get all 5 cards!! YaY! LoL- Anyways, about the music, it's great. I have it in my stereo 24/7. Not only because I love the guys, but their music is just incredible. I can't put into words how awesome they are. As much as I love all the other bands out there, O-Town's sound is so different. If I'm in the mood for a little rock, I put 'em on (Love Should Be A Crime), if I want R&B, (Girl, Sexiest Woman Alive) do the trick. And soft ballads help me when I'm just wanting something easy to listen to. (Baby I would, All Or Nothing, Shy Girl). There isn't one song on the CD I dislike. Trust me, whatever you're in the mood for, this CD has it! An ultimate reccomendation for ANYBODY! :)
O-Town is good.......2001-04-28
They're the new band from Lou Pearlman, who created the BSB and N-Sync. There was a documentary series about them last year on ABC; it came back this spring. They have developed into a great and professional band. This album contains "All for Love" and "Baby I Would", whhic they sang a lot in the show. The 1st single (that was not afraid to namedrop) is the lead-off track, Liquid Dreams. One song was written by a band member; it is "Take Me Under", and it was written by Jacob. The sound of the band is great. It is distinct, with a lot of R and B influence in Girl and Sexiest Woman Alive. Love Should Be A Crime is a light-rock song. Their 2nd single, All Or Nothing was so good that it quickly toppled BSB twice in TRL! If you are a fan of the show or the band I recommend it. However, if you're a boy band basher, you probably would not want it, as you would hate their very nature. :(

I'm not really what you call a pop star lover until I heard the songs on this cd.They are great the songs are what you call real music.There nothing like what you mainlly hear.When I heard these songs I wanted this cd so bad but I coouldn't get.Now I'm still wishing for it and hope one day I get it because I can't bare not to have this cd.So you should get this CD now or when you hear these songs you'll wish you would have got it so bye it and don't end up like me wishing you could have it.When you hear the band O-Town sing it brings sweetness to you're ears like fresh air and when you get this CD you'll be so happy because it's worth what you pay for.This CD is so great I woould give anything even 100,000 dollars for it.But I can't avord anything right now so get it why you can and don't suver like me. Because once you start suvering like me you hurt real bad and the reason I'm telling you this because it's true this CD is great.So get it and believe me it's better then any other and so is the groups voices.

I think that the song "Liquid Dreams" is one of the most creative songs out there. They mix everything together and put it with a funky beat. I especially love the part where Jacob sings.."Now this Hot girl, she's not your average girl..." his voice is so unique and perfect for the part. They will continue to become big and better in the years to come for O-TOWN!!!

Album Description
The works on this CD are all from what Dresher considers to be his first phase of composition in his own musical voice, ranging from 1976 through 1985. They focus entirely on the three instruments he knew best and has worked with since childhood: the guitar, the piano and the tape recorder.
Liquid and Stellar Music began as an idea for a sonic world while working with Terry Riley at Mills College and was working exclusively with the electric guitar. Through the use of a four-channel tape machine with three playback heads located at various points in the path of a closed loop of variable speed, system, it is possible for the performer to build up complex textural, harmonic or rhythmic structures through what is essentially a process of live multi-track recording (and playback, erasing and mixing).
Destiny draws its surface unabashedly from the idiom of rock and roll yet it is contrapuntally and polyrhythmically organized via processes normally associated with other domains. At this time, Dresher was "grappling with the diverse and contrary influences of both rock î roll, world music and contemporary 'art' music. This work was a direct attempt to reconcile these differences and incorporate the qualities of each which I find inspirational."
In Water Dreams the sounds of water in many contexts (rain, ocean waves, lakes, rivers, streams and drips) form the basic sonic palette. The composition is a hybrid of these acoustic sounds (manipulated only with equalization and tape speed alterations), synthesized sounds (Yamaha DX-7) and sampled acoustic sounds.
This Same Temple was premiered by the East Bay New Music Ensemble in the Fall of 1976 with Rae Imamura and Phil Aaberg at the pianos. Dresher says, "The work clearly owes a debt to Steve Reich, with whose ensemble I played briefly in the summer of 1974. It was through Steve that I met Nurit Tilles to whom I turned when I wanted to record the work."
