About the Artist
Rock quintet the Rockfords got its start with four pre-teens in Seattle: guitarists Mike McCready and Danny Newcomb , bass player and vocalist Rick Friel , and drummer Chris Friel . The four formed the high school band Warrior in 1978. McCready formed Pearl Jam in 1990 and went on to rock stardom; Newcomb and the Friel brothers continued playing in local Seattle bands. In 1994, Newcomb and Chris Friel formed Goodness , which included lead singer Carrie Akre , releasing a self-titled album in 1995 and a follow-up, Anthem , in 1998. In 1999, McCready , still a member of Pearl Jam , rejoined Newcomb , the Friel brothers and Akre in forming the Rockfords, who were signed to Epic. Now rejoicing in their independence the Rockfords have hooked up with KUFALA to release select performances.

Even James Garner (of Rockford Files fame) would have been rocking out at this show. The combination of talents from Seattle's own superstar rock group THE ROCKFORDS brought the crowd at the Crocodile to some rowdy elevations. Playing some new songs from a recent EP release the band delivered a 1 1/2 hour set that got the KUFALA crew out of the booth checkin' the goods on stage. Mike McCready delivered solo's, Rick Friel delivered the flair, Carrie the prose, while Danny and Chris rocked the house so thoroughly that Lt. Chapman would have arrested several members of the crowd.
