About the Artist
Seattle-based alternative rock band Goodness was formed in mid-1994 by ex-Hammerbox vocalist Carrie Akre, guitarists Danny Newcomb and Garth Reeves, bassist Fiia McGann, and drummer Chris Friel. After earning a thriving fan following throughout the northwest, Goodness independently issued their self-titled debut LP in 1995; the group signed to Atlantic's Lava imprint soon after, making their label debut on the Schoolhouse Rock! Rocks compilation. (A reissue of the Goodness album followed soon after.) After self-releasing Five Song E.P. in late 1997, the group jumped to Epic, where Anthem appeared a year later. After a lengthy break Goodness has reunited for a couple summer shows and KUFALA Recordings is putting them out.

Back in 1999 the Seattle scene suffered a great loss when Goodness disbanded and took a break to pursue individual musical directions, however that all changed on June 19th and it all happened in Tacoma. After rolling into Fenders in Tacoma, WA during sound check we knew that we were in for a treat. As the club filled up to capacity the air conditioning could not do it's job and the sweat turned into raw energy that propelled Goodness to an evening of greatness. The response from the audience after their opening song Anthem is not really given justice in the recording because it was hair raising. This multi-track recording captures a new track "Come to Me" from guitarist Danny Newcomb as well as a cover of "So You Wanna Be A Rock N'Roll Star". Goodness and Carrie Akre fans will not be disappointed in this recording it is ROCK from track 1 to 20.
