I don't have the CD but I copied the studio and MGM versions from the radio, I don't care the quality of my recording, which is actually not good but I think that the studio version is one of the finest Babs works ever, not to mention the live MGM version, just listen to the finale It's a strong fight between the singer and the orchestra.
I can't buy the CD the ussual way.But I would pay much more than this price.
If there is anyone outhere that could help me get this CD it would mean the World for me. It's been years now that I've been trying to get it but no way...they don't sale that kind of stuf here where I live. Please, I can pay for it...

Ordinary Miracles is an extraordinary song with incredible lyric by Alan & Marilyn Bergman and it brought Barbra another Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Perfomance, but for some unknown reason it was never released on a proper album. Though you already own the live version (which was taken from Barbra's "The Concert" CD) , the studio version is also worth buying if you 're a real Barbra fan. Grab it now while it 's still available! As for the 3 tracks on this single-CD, I feel they could have been better produced or chosen. For example, what's the point of including another tedious live version of "Evergreen"? Her fans deserve better than this!

The Soundtrack to Rock.......2004-02-29

First you must imagine everything cool and badass in this world. Picture the most perfect portrait of rock n roll attitude: dressed in leather, shaggy hair, cigarette in hand, and a look in the eyes that says "Screw it, I'll do what I want"
Now, imagine that in musical form.
Post Stardom Depression is in so many ways the perfect Rock band. Their basic 1 guitar, bass, drums, and vocals blend perfectly with their artisticly flowing and catchy lyrics without loosing one ounce of cool. Songs like "Honeymoon Killer" or "Who Cares Come On" can hardly go played without rocking out and singing along to every word.
I would compair these guys to another great band, but I have really yet to find anything that quite competes with them. It's straight-up, new, edgy ROCK-N-ROLL baby!

The majors need to stop being afraid of Seattle and pick this band up. After all, to the majors it's all about cash and this band is cash waiting to happen. Hats off to Endino on production. Great musicians, great songwriters and what a voice. This is rock n roll as it should be. Thanks PSD for taking us into the next century. BUY THIS CD!

Best record of the year.......2003-06-11

Nick Cave quits the Bad Seeds, moves to Seattle and opens the Bates motel. While thinking about his divorce, and other misanthropic thoughts, he is stricken with a vision that he must start a band with loud guitars and be recorded by the legendary Jack Endino. The result is amazing.....

This excellent recording manages to capture Draxl's astounding voice in great form. I loved every moment of it.

As a fan of "The Sound of Music", I first learned of Tim Draxl through an Australian live recording of the musical. His voice was so impressive that I went online to see if he was in any other recordings. I then came across "Ordinary Miracles" and had to have it. After listening to only the first song, I was extremely impressed. My favorite songs on the CD by far is "No One Is Alone". Never have I heard a version of the song that is that amazing. What impresses me most about Tim Draxl is that he has succeeded at such a young age with such a deep and mature voice. As a teenage Bass-Baritone myself, I find it extremely difficult to find a CD with a young singer that I can actually sing along to. I can hit every not on this CD which makes it so much more enjoyable to listen and sing along with. It is also nice to know that there are young people out there who are keeping cabaret singing alive!

i just don't understand why people would find this poor young boy's voice interesting. both light in range with ridiculous choice of material for a teenager. hyped as another cabaret find, i went off and saw him live but found him very unconvincing. oh draxl hype machine concentrate on substance not headline.

Well. Sit back and relax to a collection of standards sung by a casual stylist with a fine range and masculine delivery of some of the sweetest songs around. What strikes a listener first is perhaps the combination of youth and newness (if that is a word), since Tim brightens the racks of easy listening re-re-rereleases of songsters who have aged like poorly corked wine.

Among the finer moments..."Pure Imagination" and "As Time Goes By."

When I had a chance to fly with Qantas Airways to Sydney, I found an article written about this young talented boy at their in-flight magazine. While I was staying in Sydney I tried to get his album, but there had not been yet any album released at that time. After a few months later, I had another chance to visit Australia, and finally I could get this debut album!! It was beyond my expectation. His Gershwin is quite something... Can't wait for his new album. Also, I am looking forward to watchinhis playing some title-roles of great musicals...
