Customer Reviews:
Good stuff!.......2006-07-07
I knew this guy in college and he is for real. Good message, good talent. Bought it for a friend who was also interested in upbeat Christian music. Recommend giving it a try...
Simply Fantastic!.......2004-03-24
I was a little skeptical at first -- the thought of a husband/wife team pulling off something worthwhile seemed a little unlikely. But, I gave this CD a chance and I'm so glad that I did. The melodies are infectious; they're in my head all the time (in a good way). This is truely a talented duo! Now, if I were only in charge of radio programming...
One really good track.......2004-01-24
Track 3, "For You Two" is really infectious, ear-catching, singalong sunshiney pop like you haven't heard in eons by this husband and wife duo, Mark and Lisa Flora. This track is the album's high spot and once it gets in your head, it's likely to stay there for days on end. The remainder of the CD is filled with pleasant enough lite pop, most of them sung by the better half of the group. They cite their influences as being the Beach Boys, Beatles, Hollies, Jellyfish, High Llamas among other melodic masters as listed in the liner notes. The problem I have with the material, with the exception of the above-mentioned track, is that it just doesn't rise anywhere near the level of the band's influences. Perhaps if they'd add some other band members and put a little muscle in their pop next time out, they might record something really special. As it is, you get one superb track and 21 lesser ones (and some of those are just short instrumental filler tracks).
