"Take Your Flunky and Dangle" is a collection of rare and unreleased songs from the former Dream Syndicate frontman. The production is stripped down and sparse, but this disc feels great. Featuring old friends like John Convertino from Calexico/Giant Sand/Vic Chestnutt, John Wesley Harding, Chris Cacavas, Mark Walton from the Continental Drifters, and multi-instrumentalist Robert Lloyd, "Flunky" shows the softer side of Mr. Wynn. This disc definitely rivals his "official" albums. A real corker!!
