About the Artist
A former radio DJ and music journalist, Bronx native Dan Ackerman combines funky beats with literate songwriting, post-modern production values and World Music influences.

Throughout his life, Dan has served time in many bands, playing everything from '60s R&B to embarrassing '80s metal covers. Making the most of his free time after the dotcom collapse, he set out to record the songs that had been building up in his head over the past several years.
