Perfect Blend.......2007-07-12
What?.......2007-07-06
Who is this h0? Eminem in woman style? LOL You got to be kidding. This rapper wanna be wants to be like the queen of rap in spanish but the CD is pure crap. She shares the mic with more crap like Tego Calderon ( 1 of the morons who brought reggaeton to the states ). My friend told me this was a good rap CD in spanish but is pure rubbish, keep your money or buy something from 2pac.

The self-aggrandizing title and cover art may indicate otherwise, but Don Omar's King of Kings isn't your average reggaeton mash-up. Most genre stars (Daddy Yankee, Voltio, Wisin & Yandel) diffuse their heady personas with weak vocals, insipid lyrics, and repetitive arrangements. Omar, however, is an entirely different animal. King of Kings is a dark, adventurous journey through reggaeton, supplemented by surprising rhythms and a careful selection of collaborators. Hip-hop violinist Miri Ben-Ari adds urban elegance to "Intro-Predica," and Juelz Santana brings a genuine grit to "Conteo." King of Kings also finds Omar experimenting with creative variations on the reggaeton sound. "Ojitos Chiquitos" benefits from a moody Middle Eastern vibe, and "Cuentale" soars via a start-stop salsa hybrid. Omar slows things down during "Tu No Sabes," a piano-driven tale of heartbreak; and "Candela" incorporates reggaeton beats into a searing rock arrangement. Omar's former life as a preacher has obviously influenced his lyrics (which touch on religion, love, and life's hardships), but it's also given him a heady, passionate approach to music. There are lighter moments of standard reggaeton and dance hall, but even those simmer with intensity. Omar's vocals aren't always strong--particularly during the slower moments--but King of Kings stands tall amid so many throwaway reggaeton releases. We'll allow him a few moments of boastful frivolity. --Joey Guerra
Album Description
King of Kings is building on the impressive foundation set by Don Omar's previous albums, "The Last Don" and "The Last Don Live".
King of Kings does feature its share of ballads, like "Muñecas," "Tu No Sabes," "Angelitos," and "Infieles." But that doesn't mean that Don Omar stops rocking out to reggaetón's eductive dance rhythm and Bachata Fixation with hard-driving tracks like "Conteo, "Bailando Sola" and Cuentale get you bumping and dancing across the dance floor. The album also includes collaborations MCs Juelz Santana, Beanie Man, and Zion.
King of Kings parte de la base sólida de "The Last Don" y "The Last Don Live".

Don Omar as always shines in this cd, he is one of the best reggeaton singers right now, some of the best songs that this cd have are "conteo", "bailando sola" and "reportense".
if you are a real reggeaton fan then you should add this cd to your collection, this is a must buy.

Da Don!.......2007-01-10
I love this guys music and I met him! He is cool. At first I wasnt sure of this album but I now cant get it outa my car. considering Im only just beggining to learn spanish so dont understand teh lyrics, I am addicted to this spanish regaetton music! The beats on this album are all very different and some I found are more catchier and better to dance to than others but all in all its a great album. Look forward to another one coming out...........
I'm sorry - I just dont get it.......2006-09-20
I listened to this after listening to "The Last Don". I just dont see what the critics and masses are seeing. It seems like Don is holding back at times and then being overly experimental at other times. I found him leaning towards rap, which is unfortunate. Someone needs to tell him that rap is fading quickly from the pop charts and that all rappers are trying to jump on the Reggaeton craze. Don Omar seems to be going the wrong way.
Nothing on this compares to "Dale Don Dale" or "Pobre Diablo".
This just seems like a lot of talent wasted. In this case, "Angelito Vuela" is not the tip of the iceberg - it is the whole iceberg. Buy the song if you like it, but beware.
Recommend: his last album first and then Pa'l Mundo from Wisin & Yandel or Ivy Queen's Flashback.
I have no doubt Don Omar can be the king of Reggaeton once again, but this will set him back a little.
IS GOOOOOOD!!.......2006-09-13
When i first bought it, i didnt know what to expect, i had not heard them b4. Once i heard the album, is good, is VERY GOOD! Don Omar still got it, and this album proves he is the King of Kings.
It might not be the best album of the year, but is up there. Top 5, easy!

Salsa at it's best!.......2007-06-20
There is not one bad song on this CD. I struggle to find a favorite! Michael Stuart really gets to the heart of salsa music and gives it so much flavor. Nothing watered down - just real and raw. He collaborated with a number of artists on this CD such as El Canario, La India, Obie Bermudez and Luis Fonsi.... El Canario and La India are the only ones whose vocals appear onothe album. Obie and Luis have song writing credits. This be one of your all time favorite salsa CDs GUARANTEED!

From the UK.......2007-01-24
Here in the UK, we're seriously short on music like this. I first chanced upon Wisin y Yandel when I bought the P'Al Mundo CD from Amazon in the US, some time ago. Since then, I have gone on to buy music from Luny Tunes, Don Omar, Ivy Queen and more of the same genre. I can't believe what I've been missing! This particular CD is so fresh and addictive - not a day goes by when I don't listen to Tiembla at least 3 times! I would highly recommend this CD to anyone with half an ear for decent music. Especially in rain and snow-soaked London, England...
OK CD.......2006-12-10
HOT.......2006-11-12
I wont say much because the album will talk for itself. I only have one word for this album. FIRE
The Best Damn Reggaeton Album OUT!.......2006-11-09
To my Fellow Puerto Ricans....May I say that this is Reggaeton THE WAY IT SHOULD BE! Its hard for me to say this for any reggaeton album, but every single track on dis album is HOT!. What surprised me is how good of a damn click Wisin & Yandel have. Wisin & Yandel, Tony Dize, Franco "El Gorilla", Gadiel and "El Tio" are by far the best artists in the Genre to get together and murder an album they way they did on this. The Best Track in my mind is "Nadie Como Tu" wit Don Omar. The Production value on each Track is off da hook...Each and Every Track can be bumped on a system and it sounds incredible even to pump at a party!!
1....Props must be givin to Tony Dize for uppin his lyrical game in reggaeton. I neva liked how this guy sang in reggaeton to much before but he truely out did himself. His track "Envuelvete" is a sure fire party pumpin track.
2...One problem wit da album is Franco "El Gorilla".I have to say his tracks are hot in this album, the beats to his tracks compliment his lyrical Flow and speed(Hence da name, "Machina De Guerra"), But even tho im a big fan of this dude I have to say this........ THIS MAN SCREAMED TO MUCH ON HIS TRACKS. His voice was pushin da boundary of breaking down all the time. Had a hard time understandin wat he was sayin most of the time but after a while i got some of the lyrics and it was good to me. Next time he just needs to lay off screamin to hard in dis album.
3...This is a Masterpiece and a sure classic and will be one in many of da reggaeton heads out their. I think this album is brilliant and it went back to da roots of classic party pumpin reggaeton wit off da hook lyrics and a CRAZY production value for each track.
This album CAN NOT BE TOPPED so far in my mind. I dont think Daddy Yankee will be able to throw this crew off da map now after this album and the amount of fans they have behind them. I think this is a little Click in
WY records that should not seperate cuz da money and tracks they are going to make are going to be incredible.
HATE IT OR LOVE IT DIS IS BRILLIANT IN MY OPINION

An arsenal of high-wattage guests and fresh beats spice up Da Hitman Presents Reggaeton Latino, an energetic remix collection that plays like a sizzling genre primer. Former preacher-turned-reggaeton ambassador Don Omar has assembled single remixes, collaborations, and a few new tracks for a collection that pumps and sways with effortless ease. There's nothing here that hasn't been featured on other albums, but the sum of so many hip-swiveling parts is pretty great indeed. Fat Joe and N.O.R.E. lend some grit to the title track; hip-hop star Fabolous brings a confident flow to "Dale Don Dale"; and reggaeton master Tego Calderon colors "Bandoleros" with his breezy, streetwise vibe. "Ella y Yo," a previously released pairing with Bachata group Aventura, still simmers, as does "Hold You Down," a silk-and-sandpaper duet with Jennifer Lopez that vastly improves on the wispy original. (Sorry, Fat Joe.) Standout track "Dile" gives Don Omar a chance to showcase his distinct vocal flow, but it's the album closer "Guayaquil"--a fiery, tropical cumbia--that proves this Hitman still has a few tricks up his sleeve. --Joey Guerra
Customer Reviews:
Some Good Tracks.......2007-02-22
I was blown away by the video "Reggaeton Latino," and had to check out the CD. Overall, it's pretty good. There are about three or four tracks that are good enough to make regular rotation in my music collection.
That being said, there's a LOT of filler on this album, and only the hardcore can withstand an entire hour of Reggaeton beats that start to sound like the same song over and over.
The best tracks are 1 "Reggaeton Latino," an anthem-type song that's ugly good. Track 6 "Scandalous" by Cuban Link has the infectious hook that makes it hard to keep the volume turned down. Track 5 "Dale Don Dale" featuring Fabolous has a strong, hitting beat that has to be heard (and felt). There are a few other good tracks in here, then the rest kind of sounds like generic Raggaeton filler that would work as background to a dance but not for listening.
papi chuli says this is raggaeton latino.......2006-03-30
if you ask papi chulo, this is the dom omar cd to get, it has all da hitz como Pobre diabo, raggaeton latino, y mucho mas. Es nessesario para all fans of Don Omar. This is the latest music from the latin communities and it is worth chacking out, papi chulo loves altin music from the 1930's to today, and some people need to stop critisizing the music and just enjoy it. This CD is one of his best. I am an avid fan of William Omar Landron aka Don Omar, and I am just amazed of his talent and his voice. I love this man and this CD.
DON OMAR IS #1 .......2006-01-15
HIS NEW CD OF DA HITMAN PRESENTS REGGAETON LATINO IS SO AWESOME. NO WONDER HE'S THE KING OF KINGS.
I DON'T ONLY SAY IT BECAUSE I LOVE HIM ONLY FOR HIM I ALSO LOVE HIS MUSIC AND THE WAY HE IS. HE IS A GREAT ARTIST.
MANY OF THIS REGGAETON ARTIST ARE GOOD AND THEY SAY THEY ARE #1, BUT SO FAR THW WAY I SEE IT, DON OMAR IS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE #1 , AND I AS A FAITHFUL FAN WILL KEEP ON SUPPORTING HIM TILL THE END ...

Customer Reviews:
Solid, solid, solid.......2006-08-31
I may be biased due to my nationality, but Cultura Profética is perhaps THE best current roots reggae band in the world right now, bar none. This album is proof of that. Quite evident proof, I might add. "Diario", their previous CD, was a bit stale, good musically, but stale in their lyric approach and subject matter. This is a welcome change for the better.
"Ritmo que Pesa" is their current set opener, and it shows that their bottom end is getting tighter and heavier... Wilo Rodriguez does an excellent job as both singer and bassist (not too flashy in either role, which suits CP well), and Boris Bilbraut's playing has never been as solid as in this one. "Canto en la prisión" is not a favorite of mine, but they provide a solid backbeat on that one. Lyrics are also solid in the album, although English speakers will obviously miss a lot in the translation (if any is available to them).
They did some excellent quasi-hip hop work here in "Canción Despojo" and "Nadie se atreve" (a strange twist for CP) and a sweet percolatin' "Un Deseo", in my book one of the nicer "love" songs (not a true one, lyrically it is more like an icebreaker with a girl kinda tune) since the times of Bob Marley. Reggae has to be truly melodic if it is to tolerate love lyrics, and there is nice melody on that one.
My only beef with CP is that they can sometimes be more accurately described as a jazz band that plays reggae. It is perhaps on purpose: soloists in this band are let loose when they feel like it, and arrangements can get to be very complex at times. That's precisely what makes me take a star off. Sometimes they can veer off in a tangent that just loses me, and while there are people that tolerate jazz, I don't. They have sworn off the compact 4-minute pop format, and I respect that, but sometimes the same message (music- and lyric-wise) can be carried out more powerfully with shorter, less experimental songs.
They have a brutally powerful brass section that is mostly underused in their arrangements. Older CP fans miss the prominent backup singing. Otherwise, this is a GREAT roots record. While I'm not a partaker in the activities suggested by their earlier tune "Fruto de la Tierra", the album lends perfectly to said. Wink, wink. It is THAT good a record.
One of Latin Reggae's Masterpiece.......2006-02-01
M.O.T.A. is a result of Cultura Profetica's six month visit to Mexico. There is something mysterious about that country that brings out the best in you. If some of us thought that Cultura would not be able to top there last masterpiece, "Diario", we were deadly wrong. Cultura is no longer merely another musical group. Through this concept CD (music and lyrics at heir best), they have become a musical force and, like King Crimson, an unpredictable way of doing music.

Yeah Mon.
