About the Artist
Lauren Hart is a Philly /Jersey girl who is a staple of the music scene there. The daughter of NHL Hall Of Famer, Gene Hart, Lauren has carved out a critically acclaimed career for herself. A classic singer/songwriter, Lauren crosses genres between great rock and roll, soul, and the ethereal. An accomplished musician, Lauren has worked with everyone from Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, & Train to even Frank Sinatra!! She created her own label, "GYPSY GIRL" and has proven that the quickly changing record business is falling more and more into the hands of the artists themselves. Lauren had her start when she moved to the south of France and moved around playing her own music across the southern coasts of the France and Italy. Always desiring to come home again, these past few years has made a serious name for herself here in the states. Above all else, Lauren's voice will take you to those places only a few ever can. A true gift, a true "gypsy girl", and a tru person and artist who is making her way into more hearts each day.

    Unexpectedly ran into Lauren Hart singing at a New Years Eve event and was totally mesmerized by her performance. She is a wonderful person too.

    > on life's terms. It starts off with a fun synopsis of life as Lauren
    > knows it called "Joyride". There are many heartfelt songs such as "Girl
    > Keeps On", the title track which sounds like a vocal style by one of
    > Lauren's biggest influences, Aimee Mann. She also does a great Alanis
    > Morissette in "Nothing Like You", a great pop song that should be a
    > single. The difference between Lauren and Alanis is that Lauren does it

    I own over 2000 cds, lps, etc. and Girl Keeps On is my current favorite. I can't stop playing it!!! Lauren Hart is a true artiste... complex, yet accessable... emotional, yet a lot of fun. This cd comes at you in waves. Every day a different tune jumps out and becomes my favorite. Hart, quite the looker, has the voice of an angel. Her lyrics will transport you... on journeys through the heart and soul. And all the while you'll be bopping to the beat, while her gorgeous melodies become lodged in your mind. All in all, a masterpiece.
