A great collection, BUT . . ........2004-04-02
One of the best "shag music" compilations I've found.......1998-06-16
I especially like the super line-up of songs which starts with a rousing tunes like "Carolina Girls" and "Mr. Beach" and brings you to a fever pitch with sing-a-long shag classics like "Build Me Up".
The only criticism I can offer is that all the good tunes are in the first half of the album. As you get to the last 5 or 6 songs, you get into the realm of the less-familiar, and I often find myself either skipping to the next song or switching to another cd altogether.
In all, Preppy Deluxe is still the best collection of shag tunes I've been able to find, and I use it often to teach my friends the coveted art of "shagging"...the Charleston way.
