In the most dignified way possible, "Dignity"--the title track to this fizz-bomb of a dance-pop disc--sends a disgusted eye-roll and a flagrant puh-lease to underwear-eschewing celebutantes everywhere: "You'd show up to the opening of an envelope," sings Duff, who hangs onto her signature sweetness despite having entered full-on diss mode. "It's not news when you've got a new bag/It's not news when you're looking your best/Come on, give it a rest." Well said. And sung. Not that calling out the phony and the full of it is what Duff, or Dignity, is all about. Mostly, the disc is a beat-studded chronicling of an incredibly healthy 19-year-old psyche: On "Happy," she's happy despite an ex's attempts to make her miserable; on "With Love"--maybe her catchiest, most grown-up song to date--she's willing to accept rejection as long as kindness plays a role in its delivery. Musically, with the help of groove-conscious producers like Tim & Bob and Will.i.am, Duff edges ever closer to adult sensibilities; her goofball Lizzie McGuire days seem far behind. It's an evolution anybody could have seen coming, actually. Has there ever been a starlet with her head on straighter? --Tammy La Gorce

Great CD, Uplifting message.......2007-07-11
I read somewhere that this was her fourth disc, I had never listened to an entire cd by her before, but the title got my attention, and it is the theme for the whole album, there are no out of place tracks here, she helps you to think, and makes the tracks electronic, which I can work out to on the treadmill, but I must say the standout song on this cd is No Work All Play, she sounds wise beyond her years, expressing that life is about more than just having a good time, having balance and getting to know yourself is more important. She encourages the listener to keep trying, even when it is difficult at times, the journey will help a person gain wisdom and grow stronger. Thank you Ms. Duff, it was an encouraging ride
THE BEST OF ALL OF THEM!.......2007-07-09
i love all of hilary's cds, but this one is my favorite! my favorite songs are "dignity", "with love", "gypsy woman", and "happy". all the songs are great, but those are the best. "dignity" automaticly made me think of paris hilton (who i think is a spoiled brat) and "happy" is the song i would assoiate with a break up to say that you are so over the guy. it's words are like she's talking to someone (most likely Joel) "i'm happy and i know that makes you mad/after all the things you put me through/i'm finally gettin' over you. it's an over all great album and i would highly recomend it for hilary fans and first time listeners of all ages!
Duff and stuff........2007-06-28
I've been very happy with Hilary's CD I feel shes grown up the most out of the kids who have come off of disnay around the time she had and started singing. I feel she can still get better though. Alot of dance feeling to the music. I like the dvd on the special edition, atleast for the music videos. I can't wait to see Hilary grow up more and make better albums.
Duff perks up.......2007-06-20
This album is much more of a dance, kinda techno at times album than Hilary's former albums, which were light pop stuff. Hilary wrote or at least co-wrote most all the songs on here, so this album is very much hers. Hilary does display a maturing and pulls off her new style pretty well. She's not the strongest singer, which is likely gonna keep her from ever getting 5 stars, but this is a very listenable, enjoyable album. But this is a strong 4 stars, especially after the listener lets it grow on him/her a bit. I found myself hardly ever impatient to hit the skip button while listening from start to finish. The album has energy and the songs have a good beat. There are fun lyrics too. The songs:
Stranger - the singer doesn't really know her man, he hides things
Dignity - a knock on celebrities who live by the motto of "there's no such thing as bad publicity."
With Love - catchy dance number
Danger - singer is involved with older man, wonders if he'll be good forher in long run
Gypsy Woman - a warning to a man about another woman, she could get him in trouble
Never Stop - very quick, catchy dance tune, hit the repeat button
No Work, All Play - kind of a lighthearted, playful tune
Between You and Me
Dreamer - directed toward the overly obsessed fan, amusing lyrics: "I go to bed and I wake up, isn't that exciting?" Rightly points out these people need to get lives.
Happy - directed at lover who jilted singer. If it were up to him, she'd just be miserable all day, but she's not going to do that.
Burned
Outside of You
I Wish
Play with Fire - fun, kinda steamy dance number, but never crass

I love this cd and the dvd has her music vidoes on it and an interview with her the best ever.
A little moore grown up album .......2007-05-12
This is a great album from Hilary Duff, it's a little moore grown up and she shows her sexy side on some songs. The dvd bonus was also a pleasent suprise, she talks about all of her music videos ++. I'll give it 4 stars, since some of the songs are not so grown up. But still a great album!
No Shame in "Dignity".......2007-04-28
A most enjoyable pop product and one of the most re-playable of the year so far. As with Britney Spears or (the even more-viciously-derided) Ashlee Simpson, the issue of whether Hilary Duff can actually sing is moot here, since much of the heavy lifting for this type of teen pop is usually left to the backing musicians and producers anyways. All that matters is: Is the final product any good? The answer: An emphatic "YES!" While not reaching the delirious abandon of Simpson at her best on "I Am Me," at the very least Duff's voice is rendered unobtrusive by processing and at the very best is a playfully bouncing ball of energy that complements the poppy music, itself an amalgam of modernized retro-'80s beats that recall various shades of Blondie, the Human League, Depeche Mode, New Order, freestyle dance, Foreigner, Genesis, Bryan Adams, Pat Benetar, and more recent influences as No Doubt (itself '80s-influenced) and Spears. And like Simpson, Huff gets by here on sheer moxie. (Contrast this to the lackluster lethargy of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton on their albums. Simply posing does not translate well on disc.) What pushes Huff's album above those by Spears and earns Huff extra points is her (or her handlers') judgment in wisely avoiding the "slow, treacly ballad" (a la "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman") that drags lesser albums down and would expose the fact that she is no Christina Aguilera. And there is something to be said for catchy lyrics that are easily sung-along to and easy to decipher. Not every album has to be lyrically challenging as those by some underground artist or even REM or Bob Dylan. (And come to think of it -- Dylan's not much of a singer these days, either, without some help in the studio!) Just as the baseball player Jeff Kent addressed whiny and b*tchy critics, "Just enjoy the game!" Teen pop is what it is, and in similar company, "Dignity" simply stands out: strong enough to be a "Greatest Hits" collection on its own. Standout tracks include: "Play with Fire" (Foreigner or Yes in dance-pop incarnation); "Stranger" (New Order meets "I'm a Slave 4 U" middle-Eastern flourish); the Gwen Stefanish title track...but with every track a winner, what's the point in playing favorites? ;)
Great Cd/Dvd.......2007-04-24
The cd is a mix, of the real good, and the not that good.
The songs, With Love, Gypsy woman ,and Happy,is the stronges.
If you want 9,music video`s from Hilary in one place this is It.
The picture transfer, is the best these video`s have ever had.
The sound,it`s not in 5,1.,but is`s great anyway.
Dignity: The Shocker Album of 2007.......2007-04-12
Hilary Duff, whose popularity boomed mostly because of her Disney Channel show, "Lizzie Mcguire", decided to take a turn into being a singer as well as an actress. I remember when "Lizzie Mcguire" was the "it" thing back in the early 2000's, and I absolutely loved Lizzie. Some time had passed and I didn't like Lizzie AKA Hilary as much and was aware that she had albums out (mostly because they played her music videos nonstop on Disney Channel). Then a year or so ago, a new Hilary Duff music video was on Disney and it was for the song, "Beat of My Heart", a song many a person would be surprised to hear from Hilary Duff. Mostly because of it's 80's alternative rock sound. I know I was sort of surprised at the song, mostly because of the way the song sounded and the video period. She certainly seemed to want to take an 80's feel and look to her music career. And even though because of my dislike for her at the time, I really was annoyed that I actually liked the song. And that was only the beginning of Hilary Duff's growth.
Now coming to the present, Ms. Duff has taken a total 80's, Europop feel to her music. And that, to me, was surprising. As had been the single "Beat of my Heart". So now, since I watch Nickelodeon as well, I have been seeing her there a lot more often, which I find interesting. That's beside the point of this review though. So, my mom and I were listening to this, or should I say, she started listening to it first and heard most of the first song "Stranger" and said it was good. We listened to the whole album and found it was actually... good! So, Ms. Duff as you can hear from listening to her new material, has definitely grown. Although if you don't like the Europop 80's music or dance music, this is not your CD. So if you liked her old stuff there are a few songs that sort of go back to that, although most of it is 80's like dance stuff. And I can honestly say that I hope Ms. Duff continues to make decent albums in the near future.

Hilary Duff stares off the cover of Most Wanted with the look of a doe-eyed, feathered-haired criminal. Or maybe she's just exhausted, which would explain why she revisits so much already-released material. Three of the teen queen's biggest, brightest hits ("Come Clean," "Rock This World," and "Why Not") get the remix treatment. Impossible though it seems, each remix is still zippier than the original. Perennial fave "So Yesterday" is squished between the hard-rockin', deeply satisfying "Mr. James Dean" from 2004's Hilary Duff and the too-girlie-for-its-own-good "Metamorphosis" from the same-named 2003 disc. There are three originals including opener "Wake Up", a slightly self-pitying look inside the celebrity glass bubble, but to a great beat, the danceable "Beat of my Heart," and emo-esque "Break My Heart." The burning question of whether it's worth it to buy this record based on the inarguably good remixes and three original tracks will be dictated by how severe her fan base's withdrawal symptoms are. If magazine covers bear any relation to the old practice of plastering a town with "wanted" posters, odds are Duff's zillions of fans will not only find this disc but help her deliver on its smart title's promise. --Tammy La Gorce
Customer Reviews:
Duff Redone.......2007-07-02
This is just a repackaging of the stuff from Hilary's first 2 albums. Only 2 new songs, WAke Up and Beat of My Heart. Wake Up is pretty good; Beat of My Heart is rather childish. If you have Hil's first 2, no real need to get this.
I'm Coming Clean.......2007-04-22
I like Hilary Duff's music, so sue me. My music tastes have always been much more id driven than my movie taste and I think that Duff represents that perfectly. Her movies are basically the cinematic incarnations of her songs (light, frothy, girly) and in my mind are almost universally bad. The only two that I will openly admit to liking are "Cheaper By The Dozen" and "Agent Cody Banks" and neither of those were vehicles built around her. Both of her art forms have the distinct taste of being cooked up in laboratory, but while the movies remind me of Spam the music goes down easy like a delicious Chicken McNugget.
"Wake Up", "Come Clean", and "So Yesterday" are three of my favorite pop songs of the past five years. "Wake Up", which I'm sure was supposed to be a melancholy take on celebrity lifestyle but ends up sounding like a disingenuous princess whining is a near perfect bubblegum song. It slaps around pretty much everything the blond bimbos of the 90's put out and I could listen to that song all day. And I certainly do not trust anybody who tells me that they are not charmed by the melody of "So Yesterday." Yes all these songs were written by people other than Duff and are extremely guilty pleasures. But do you want my honest take on this album or do you want me to lie. This is a greatest hits album so I have to deduct some points just to be fair. It is a great collection of songs to be sure, but it represents many years and many albums. I'm sure that I am saving myself a whole lot of pain and suffering by skipping over the filler on the previous albums and just sticking to the good stuff (go on and laugh). Also, I have no intentions of defending her weak points as an artist. She is what she is, which is a spoiled, rich Momma's girl who has probably never made one career decision in her entire life. She has never taken on a project, in music or film, that is the least bit challenging or edgy. Instead she has stuck with her Disney Channel created image and tried to ride that as far as it would take her. Or put another way, there is a difference between saying a girl can rock and a girl actually rocking. Personally, I blame her emotionally weak mother whose name shows up on way too many gossip pages, but what do I know?
I am assuming that most of you are snickering at me right now, very secure in your knowledge that you are far too sophisticated to listen to anything as silly as this. But I strongly urge you to get over your pretensions. And no, I have no interest in hearing from the music snobs either since every one of you I have ever met has had the most corporate movie taste imaginable. Word on the street says that on her new album Duff writes her own lyrics, but I have yet to hear it. "Most Wanted" sounds like it was written for 10 year old girls, and it probably was, and still it got plenty of spins on my CD player. ***1/2
I love every one!.......2007-04-08
I love every album, hilary Duff rules. All her albums are soooooo good!I love them.I have a lot of Hilary duff stuff.Only a few examples:one album, hil duff tee, hilary duff backpack, and MUCH more.It would take years to name! But I think anyone who love hilary Duff, you should buy this product. And,maybe even all her albums!I got it as an Easter present, you could end up with one too! (love this product)
Not really the "Most Wanted" songs.......2007-02-25
I own this cd and like it. But I have all of her other cds so really this cd had nothing new except the 3 new songs. Break My Heart and Beat of my Heart are sort of the same. I think she should have done a different title, there too much alike. This is a good cd for first time Hilary listeners, because it has all of her best. But it seems like the "best" of Hilary wasn't what I thought were the best songs of her. But I would recemend this cd to those who don't know Hilary's music yet, and want to hear what she's like.
She's going down "Hil".......2007-02-14
I don't own this album and personally would never want to. I do have Metamorphosis, but I bought that when I was 15 years old. I listened to a few songs on here because of an article I read stating the worst albums in each genre. This was one of them. Being a former Hilary Duff fan, I decided to check it out.
If you like a girl who's trying to be in the rock genre, but doing very poorly at it, this album is for you.

She may have played a teenaged girl mistaken for a pop star in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, but after releasing a Christmas album in 2002, and crooning two songs on the movie's soundtrack, Hilary Duff looks like she means business. The only trouble is, she doesn't sound like it. Although dubbing her first album Metamorphosis, the disc is anything but. Her singing is as coy and kittenish as her on-screen persona and she mugs her way through most of the 13 songs with charm and aplomb, but little natural singing talent. But to her credit, the actress has managed to cover a multitude of vocal sins by hiring a team of crack producers, who double her voice whenever possible, giving many of the tracks the rather anthemic feel of a cheerleading squad. The best songs on the disc are the three masterminded by the Matrix, the same production team that oversaw Avril Lavigne's hit disc and they give the lissome actress's singing some attitude and grit, like on the infectious and spectacularly bratty "So Yesterday," and the cleverly conceived "Math," complete with heavy metal guitar riffs. But Duff is not inhabiting that saucy jailbait territory staked by Britney Spears. At the ripe old age sixteen, she's much more Barbies than bustiers. --Jaan Uhelszki

Duff debut.......2007-06-20
This is a fun lite pop album from Hilary Duff. Not a serious work of art, just easy listening, and what's wrong with that. Nothing. She's not the strongest singer, but she is entertaining. Here are some of the more enjoyable tunes:
So Yesterday
Come Clean
Workin it Out
Come Clean
The Math
Party Up
Metamorphisis
Why Not
Hilary Duff was good for a while.......2007-01-05
I think Hilary is kind of out now but at the time the kids liked this.
I love this CD!.......2006-12-14
Hilary Duff has a very pretty voice. I love the all the songs, but I don't really like the lyrics to Inner Strength. Over all this CD is great and fun to listen to.
An Amazing "Metamorphosis" For Child Star Hilary Duff.......2006-12-01
Hilary Duff's debut, Metamorphosis, is what teen pop should sound like in 2003. It picks up on mainstream trends, particularly those spearheaded by Avril Lavigne, but turns them light and sweet, making for a very good modern bubblegum album. One of the keys to its success is that Duff is never sexed up, the way that Britney Spears was right from the start of her career. This is also true of Hilary in her acting career, since her TV alter ego, Lizzie McGuire, is a regular teenager with teenage concerns, including (but not limited to) crushes on unattainable boys, getting along with her pest of a little brother, understanding her parents, worrying about money, and negotiating the cliques at her school. Metamorphosis is the musical equivalent of Lizzie McGuire, only splashier and savvier and not as silly or Disneyfied as the show. In other words, it's the sound of a preteen turning teenager, finding inspiration in the tough-girl pose of Avril but also being in the fortunate position of being able to work with the Matrix as well. The three songs helmed by the Matrix -- "So Yesterday," "Where Did I Go Right?," and "The Math" -- bear their trademark beats, acoustic guitars, and ridiculous spoken interjections, and they all sound a bit more natural coming from a teenager than they do coming from, say, Liz Phair, but Avril's influence can be heard throughout the record, particularly in how Duff has absorbed how Lavigne appeals to average girls while singing insidiously catchy songs. Hilary does that here, too, but she has a sweeter, more appealing voice than Avril, and the rest of the record follows her cheerful charisma, resulting in a charmingly effervescent listen. While some songs shine brighter than others, there is no dullness here, and the whole thing clocks in at a breezy 43 minutes, which helps keep things light and engaging. Metamorphosis isn't a record that will change the world, but like the best teen pop, it sounds right in its moment, which means it's about as good as this kind of music gets.
Also be sure to check out her sophmore album, "Hilary Duff" and her upcoming album, due sometime in April 2007. The first single from the new album, "Play With Fire" has already hit major radio stations.
It's Ok.......2006-11-14
I didn't really find anything too wonderful in this album. Hilary Duff just doesn't have the best voice to me. It usually sounds nazel and horse.
So Yesterday- 8/10- Could have been better
Come Clean- 10/10- This is probably one of the only songs she sounds good in.
Workin' it out- 6/10- Just not that interesting
Little Voice- 10/10- I really love this song!
Where Did I Go Right?- 4/10- Bad. Melody is stupid and the lyrics don't make any sense.
Anywhere But Here- 6/10- Like Workin' it Out, this song just was kinda boring.
The Math- 8/10- Could have been a 10/10- but you can't even hear her in the chorus at all!
Love Just Is- 5/10- Not a huge fan of this sappy stuff
Sweet 16- 7/10- It's OK
Party Up- 10/10- Good rockin' beat to it!
metamorphosis- 7/10- I didn't really like the verses. but everything else was OK
Inner Strength- 0/10- Horribly stupid. It was only like, one minute and she didn't even sing in it! I never listen to this anymore
Why Not?- 9/10- Her single, it's good
This CD deserves a three stars. If you want better pop music, the just get Hilary Duff self-titled or check out ZOEgirl, Barlowgirl, Jump5, Vanessa Hudgens, or Hannah MOntanah.

Even when Hilary Duff is at her most un-Lizzie McGuire-like, it's impossible not to like her, as she proves on this reinvention-themed, girl-grows-up album. Free her from the constraints of the teen-queen slumber party scene and she'll crank up the guitars and "Fly," as she does on the feel-good first single; give her a minute to reflect on life as a multi-hyphenate (in her case TV princess-movie star-pop goddess) and she'll come clean with "Underneath This Smile," an introspective winner not lacking--and yet not reaching--for sunshine, or "Who's That Girl," an unapologetic embrace of self-contradiction. Songwriters Diane Warren ("I Am") and Charlie Midnight, whose contributions to Duff's last album don't seem so yesterday as yet, pitch in, as does Hilary's star-in-her-own-right sister Haylie (the boyfriend-blasting "Mr. James Dean"). If there's evidence of the mixed-up lovable kook millions of teens once modeled themselves after here, it is only in the title: Hilary Duff may be the follow-up to the 5 million-selling Metamorphosis, but the real metamorphosis for Miss Duff takes place here. --Tammy La Gorce
Customer Reviews:
Duff a bit dull.......2007-06-20
This album is a full hour of music, which is good for fans who like anything just because Hilary does it. But the length winds up not really being an asset because there are a number of songs that are simply kinda boring and the longer album drags that out. this album doesn't have the energy and zip of Hilary's debut. Here are notable songs:
Do You Want Me - kind of an interesting and different song that alternates being the singer posing a question and singing aggressively.
Weird
Getaway
Haters - song dumps on people who are always negative
Rock This World - it does kind of rock
Jericho
I really like this CD !.......2007-06-08
I became a fan of Hilary Duff after seeing her in "Raise Your Voice". I love the song,"Someones' Watching Over Me" .
A step up!.......2007-05-24
I love this CD! In fact, it's my favorite CD ever! The best of Hilary is finallly here. And it's a great value, 17 tracks. But I reccomend trying a few sample songs before you get it, because it's a little "different" (But still awesome in my opinion!
1. Fly 8\10-A great song to start out the CD!
2. Do you want me? 9\10-At first I didn't like this song, but I grew to love it!
3.Weird 8\10-Just like the name-Weird. But I like the beat.
4. Hiding Away 8\10-A nice quiet song, nice to listen to.
5. Mr.James Dean 8\10-A little strange, but good music.
6.Underneath this Smile 9\10-A good song to listen to when you've had a bad day, and you just need to know your not the only one who's having trouble.
7. Dangerous to Know 10\10-I LOVE the beat and lycrics to this song!
8. Who's that Girl? 10\10-The lycrics aren't fantastic, the music isn't wonderful, but I've just always loved this song.
9.Shine 8\10-I love the chorus!
10. I Am 10\10- A great song! Very encouraging, don't let anyone ever judge who you are.
11. Getaway 10\10-Compares a relationship with a car, can't explain it but I love the song.
12.Cry 8\10-Great message. Says it's ok to cry when you need to. But a little depressing if listned to too much
13.Haters 7\10-Good song, but a bit angry.
14. Rock This World 11\10-My fav song! Encourages to change the world, and I LOVE the music!!!
15.Someone's Watching Over Me 10\10-Great song! You'll always know everything will be ok in the end.
16.Jericho 9\10-Love it!
17. The Last Song 9\10-A good ending to a great album. Not much of a song though, but I love listening to it.
Pretty Good.......2007-05-12
She's not my favorite artist but this cd did have some good songs on it. It was worth it.

Hilary Duff, the winsome star of the Disney Channel's Lizzie McGuire, makes her singing debut with a rather frothy mix of original songs and old holiday chestnuts--only these chestnuts aren't roasting on an open fire, they're sugarcoated, like everything else on this pop-light album. Duff, who looks like Jessica Simpson, and sings like Mandy Moore, sticks close to the tried-and-true versions of Santa Claus is Coming To Town," "Jingle Bell Rock, " and Sleigh Ride," adding little to the holiday music canon. The album only perks up when Duff's guests appear: Christina Milian pushes Duff to greater heights on the crisp and rhythmically innovative "I Heard Santa on the Radio," and Lil' Romeo adds some spiky dynamics and humor as he raps through "Tell Me a Story (About the Night Before)." --Jaan Uhelszki

Santa Claus Lane - Hilary Duff.......2007-01-16
Perfect gift for a tiny-bopper. I normally dread the idea of finding room for all the gifts after the holidays but the gift of music was the way to go this year. My little girl is almost 8 and Hilary Duff is not risky with her music.
It's somewhat more than atypical, but not special.......2006-12-04
Xmas music has been around forever and everyone from James Brown to Jessica Simpson do xmas albums. I know xmas only comes once a year, and we only listen to xmas music about one month out of the whole year, but that doesn't mean the music can't be special or memorable. Actually xmas music is all that and more.
If you are planning to listen to your xmas music album purchase for more than once (more than one xmas) than this isn't the album for you. The first few times the CD is phenomenal, but its effect is only skin deep and does not last and quite the opposite of memorable... like fast food.
I'll give it to hillary that she's beautiful and has a sugary, poppy voice, but as far as engineered pop is concerned, Aguilera is more soulful and Britney is more syrupy than Hillary Duff, and their album is a little better. I did like her rendition of Sleigh Ride because it sounds classic, but then I'd rather be listening to the classic version.
Hilary Duff - Santa Claus Lane: An Album Review.......2006-11-03
I absolutely love Christmas - the decorations go up just a few days BEFORE halloween each year. I also love having Christmas music playing during the couple of months leading up to Christmas. I got this album for Christmas a few years ago and it has become one of my favorite Christmas albums that I own
What Christmas Should Be - 9/10 - A great original song about the true meaning of Christmas - this song was featured in Cheaper By The Dozen.
Santa Claus Lane - 9/10 - Hilary gave her very first live performance singing this song on a show called Movie Surfers for the promotion of the Santa Claus 2 movie. It's a great song!
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town - 9/10 - A classic Christmas song that Hilary did a great job with!
I Heard Santa On The Radio - 10/10 - One of my favorite songs on the CD. It's a duet with Christina Millian and the two girls did great with this original song.
Jingle Bell Rock - 10/10 - A classic Christmas song that Hilary did a great job with - this is my favorite version of Jingle Bell Rock!
When The Snow Comes Down In Tinseltown - 9/10 - A great song that is very good, and features a spoken part by Hilary in the very beginning.
Sleigh Ride - 10/10 - My second favorite song on the album - Hilary's voice sounds so pretty on this song, quite unlike any of her other songs yet, except for number 9 on this album.
Tell Me A Story - 10/10 - This song is mostly Lil Romeo singing, but it's a great song! It's got a "Night Before Christmas" theme to it.
Last Christmas - 10/10 - MY FAVORITE SONG ON THE ALBUM! Hilary's voice songs GREAT, the best I've ever heard it! Hilary does a great job with this classic song!
Same Old Christmas - 10/10 - A great duet with her sister Haylie. An original song that talks about the spirit of Christmas
Wonderful Christmastime - 9/10 - A song with a kind of rock-feel to it that I really like. Hilary's vocals are great!
There are 105/110 stars, which gives this album 5 stars and a very strong recommendation for you to buy it - it's a great addition to any music collection!
Christmas with Hilary Duff.......2006-10-28
The songs in Hilary Duff's Santa Claus lane are terrific!! They are really lively and you'll feel really happy and alive when you hear it. It's true and they bring a very modern and cute feeling to christmas! You should really get it because it's great!
Original Duff.......2006-09-13
This CD is eaisly Hilarys best. This is original Duff, not that computerized crap that they market these days. This is the only CD on the market with her true voice. It is a classic and can be played through over and over again. Its pure pop fun!!!!!!

Album Description
Of hilary's 1st retail single 'with love' from her forthcoming album and cd/dvd 'dignity', billboard report "she refreshingly looks set to be the american kylie minogue and the single serves to reinvent the appealing singer as a boogie diva". 'with love' marks a notable change of musical direction for hilary, seeing her embrace a new, edgier dance sound and was produced by vada nobles and logic. If you thought you knew hilary duff, think again!

Techno Takes Over With Love.......2007-05-26
This Australian Import CD Single is off Hilary Duff's new album titled "Dignity". A remix and a Play With Fire Remix back the title track.
With Love (3:07) is a song that marks the new sound of dance, techno, and club beats so many partygoers crave and desire. The beats are infectious, the hooks are addictive, the dance elements are all over the place and the party ambiance mood is loud and clear! Take me there, love me, dance with me or just make your move. Her lyrics display a more daring, blunt, bold young lady ready to take action, bring about some mystery yet aggression, and much more!
With Love (Richard Vission Remix) (6:08) has the entrance pounding bass-lines and elevating up and down swirls that accentuate the nights at the club dancing like a party animal. Electronica techno beats highlight the song and bring much party atmosphere vibes. Like many of her other mixes for this song, the vocals are not vast. However, the club banging beats are fabulous and definitely worthwhile if you enjoy music with much sound and little singing. Hilary Duff sings repeatedly, "Just do with love" over and over as the background music elevates and lowers thus causing much fast tempos and great club styles. If you want lots of vocals you won't find it here.
Play With Fire (Richard Vission Remix) Radio Edit (3:10) is another top favorite song off her album Dignity. This begins with the swirling sounds of DJ's remixing the turntables and using their equipment to enhance Hilary Duff's vocals making them sound like outer space yet cool and totally addictive. The bass is loud, the techno is fast, and the style is definitely dance. Again, there are few vocals but still quite enjoyable.
Richard Vission lets fans down with his Hilary mixes.......2007-04-17
For Hilary's first huge Billboard Dance Chart club hit, the remixer of choice was electro house master Richard Vission, so I waited with baited breath to hear his remix--only to find that he basically created a DUB version that uses just the line "do it with love". His mix could have been SO hot if he had bothered to make a full vocal remix, but you don't get that here. This is about 6 minutes of awesome bassline with barely any vocal.
His remix of "Play With Fire" is the EDIT, and it is pretty much a letdown as well, not at all a standout Vission mix. I expected so much more from this single.
Unbelievable(Awesome CD).......2007-04-10
This CD is sooo cool. The songs are way upbeat, and wanting to make you dance. Hilary has really improved on her music. She's now making music alittle more grown-up type. Hilary is defitnitely a wonderful girl. I love her and adore her music. You will love this CD. It's worth it. Great for teenagers who love upbeat music. You rock Hilary!

Customer Reviews:
Hilary's Dignity.......2007-05-04
With an 80's dance/techno beat Hilary comes back with her new album "Dignity". The album gathers every part that Hilary has become. The album talks a lot about her relationships with love, money, family and herself.
The first song "Stranger" says (Their no kindness in your eyes/the way you look at me is just not right) probably talking about Good Charlotte's front man Joel Madden. It seems that Hilary decided that this (her break up) would be a good theme for the album, since she is 20 an she is learning about relationships; this is notable in " Danger" (where you born in `74/are you the kind of guy that I should ignore?). Basically the whole album follows the same guideline "heartbroken girl" fighting against the world. In "With Love" she says (you can tell me I'm wrong/ that I'm coming on way too strong) probably referring to her wild side. Gypsy woman it definitely a highlight; the song is new, refreshing and the beat is pretty nice. Lyrics follow the story line from Daddy's affair. (Tried to run away with a gypsy woman, here today then gone for good)--(Enjoyed the fame/bringing down the family name). Down the road from number 6 it's an all-good fashion poppy album. "Never Stop" is a favorite, and once it hits the 2-minute mark it never stops. I really enjoyed "Happy" and "Burned" which are two up beat ballads, and last but not least "Play With Fire", this is definitely one of my favorites, the song probably has the most 80's beat (love me/love me/ feel the flame/ if you want me back again).
It is not easy to take risks, sometimes you might fail sometimes you success and this time around Hilary has succeeded--once again.
The Japanese version of the album comes in a beautiful cover with a 50-page booklet. It has a remix for "With Love".
Wow!.......2007-04-08
If you've followed this girl's musical path or are just now arriving as a listener this is one strong album either way. Other reviewers in the past have mentioned being converted after taking a young person to see her live. This record comes closest to capuring the energy of her live shows and as more of an adult effort it speaks to what she has to convey and it's the real thing. The shift to more of a dance beat is superb and shows more insight than trying to become another indie rock clone. I think she is just getting started! This japanese deluxe version is pretty stunning in presentation (as they usually are) and is well worth it if you can do it. The exterior case photgraphy is very cool and the jewel case itself seems to feature the other Japanese cover art for the regular version. The photobook is great and the bonus track is a DJ kaya remix of With Love. The DVD includes a "making of" video about the photobook which the U.S. version doesn't have. Already one of my fav ten cd's in my collection.
