KALO is a newcomer on the current Japanese Progressive rock scene, and "Spiral Dream" (2004) its first album. Like WAPPA GAPPA or MIZUKAGAMI, the band of the guitarist and keyboards player Masahiro UEMURA faithfully reproduces the art and spirit of successful ancients such as NOVELA, OUTER LIMITS or MAGDALENA. Miori NARITOMI's crystal-clear vocals beautifully enlighten the twelve tracks of this incredible album. The romantic keyboards parts cleverly consort with incisive guitar riffs. This surprising contrast may sometimes remind of the unique eponymous album of the French group STEPS AHEAD, a true landmark for fans of precious symphonism. Here is a real piece of art, that must not be missed by any means !

This music makes me relax, perfect to meditate to, or if you want to fall asleep at night.
Soft, Relaxing Harp Music for All Occasions.......2006-09-01
I first heard about this cd through another reviewer on Amazon. I sampled the songs and knew that it was just what I was looking for. Hilary is a master at the harp, and the songs he plays on this album are soft and supple. It will sound relaxing in the office without distracting you from your work.
Yet it also rewards closer listening. The lovely, lilting harp lines will stay in your system for a long time.
Another thing I like about this cd is that the melodies are not repetitive. Each song has its own sound. It is the perfect gift to get for someone who is looking for music to play at work or at home while relaxing.
It is also one of the few albums I have that my wife will let me play at night while she is trying to sleep!

If you like harp and/or New Age music, titles by Hilary Stagg are for you. In addition to this album, I also own Sweet Return and The Edge of Forever. Beautiful harp playing. Definitely satisfies the harp lover in you!
Like floating on water..........2005-05-21
I first heard this lovely music in a Sharper Image store back in the early 90's and just had to have it! Every song is beautiful and makes me feel as if I am floating on water. If you want something to relax you after a hard days work then this it the CD for you! I love this music so much that I used it for dinner music at my wedding. Several of my guests complimented us on the choice and wanted to know what the CD was.
The daughter of a co-worker is getting married so I loaned it to her and they absolutely fell in love with it. Now they will be using it at her wedding. My co-worker told me that she was sad to give it back to me but will be buying her own!
