About the Artist
When he was 12, Robert Jordan took a train to Philadelphia on the odd chance he could meet the legendary Huff and Gamble at their Sound of Philadelphia recording studios. He didn’t bother telling his parents. Not only did he meet them, but got a personal tour of the facility, and a ride home from Leon Huff along with some advice on respecting your parents . Not bad. Spending a musical youth he left for Spain to study classical guitar. A million sun dazed Mediterranean days with a million Mediterranean distractions. He thought it best to go home. He had a project writing the score for a play at the American Repertory Theater at Harvard University. After that, the call of the Marshall stack was overpowering. Back in Philadelphia he did some studio work with the drummer of “The Executive Slacks�, a band which topped the charts in Europe, Clubs and College radio in the United States. Some consider them the Founders of Industrial Music. Shortly after those Philadelphia sessions, he was asked to join the band . After years of touring he produced their final album “25 Assorted Needles�. It was a great opportunity to explore another side of the creative process. The band dissolved and mutated in to “Tubalcain� a much moodier and eclectic version of the former band and had several songs placed in Hollywood films such as “ The Glass Cage“ and “ Cover Me“. They toured much less extensively and he was able to pursue other interests both in and out of the music business. Allowing him time to spread out in many, many ways. Now he is back .The true unadulterated version of Robert Jordan.
