European edition of Richard Melville Hall's full length debut, first released in 1992 & replacing the U.S. version's'Drop A Beat' with 'Thousand'. 12 tracks total, including the diverse artist's early hit dance singles 'Ah Ah', 'Next Is The E' and 'Go', which samples Tones On Tail's 'Go!' and Angelo Badalamenti's 'Laura's Theme' from the 'Twin Peaks' soundtrack. An Instinct Records release.

ok, first off, mobygod is partially right. there is an edition of this disc that has the above track listing, it is european, but it's not 'the story so far'. it's just the european edition of 'moby'. there is also the story so far. here are the two correct track listings for the currently confused amazon.com staff:

okay, my review will be for "the story so far", because the US edition of 'Moby' and the european edition are almost identical.
the story so far is a polished version of 'Moby', and in my opinion, much better. it has better versions of 'drop a beat' and 'next is the e'. it also has some bad points, namely removing 'electricity' and 'have you seen my baby?' and replacing them with the subliminal mix of Go, which in retrospect is a very good choice, but a bad move was adding the track 'Thousand' which really doesn't deserve to be on one album, even though it's on two.

3 out of 5 stars this is not the "story so far".......2004-06-23

its a sublime moby album but the correct version of the stoy so far has the next songs not the songs that appears here, and the correct label

To me, almost anything by this guy is great, but this one struck me better than any other musical thing in the history of my life. It's great music done in high quality!
