Unknown Hinson is an incredible guitarist.
He's great live, in interviews, and on Squidbillies.
I do not like this CD. It is cheesy, over-produced glam-country.
But I will still buy his new album.

Unknown Hinson is a musical genius!!! Not only is he a stellar musician, he combines influences from old school country, 60s playboy vibe, rockabilly and modern rock with his unique North Carolina accented vocal delivery to create a record that will become endeared to you for many reasons. The humor and sarcasm in his lyrics are sometimes overwhelming yet they are cleverly hidden in his extremely well done country-western music. Unknown Hinson makes me smile on my worst day. I would reccomend this record to ANYONE who really listens to music and appreciates humor. Not only in Unknown Hinson a very clever writer, he plays all the instruments on the record. He is a MEAN guitarist with aspects of modern and traditional mixed into a very pleasing guitar vocabulary. Plain and simple, Unknown Hinson rocks. If you feel that humor and great music enrich your life, then this is the record for you. I just can't say enough good things about this artist and this record. It is a MUST HAVE for all who love real art.

If you can find it, BUY IT! I don't care how much it costs........2003-05-06
I found this highly saught after CD ...it was well worth it. Unknown Hinson is possibly the biggest, baddest, new act in the country, and if your not on the "Hinson Train", he'll sneak up behind you and pants you! The smart and funny lyrics will make you laugh untill your sides hurt, and the rockin' guitar is gonna blow your mind. The king of Country Western Troubadors will woo yer womerns, and make you feel like you've never heard good music before.
This is a truely amazing album, If you like funny songs, rockabilly, psychobilly, country western, or even "rawk" you'll love this disc. Out of print, and never to be re-released in it's entirety, if you can find it, BUY IT! I dont care what it costs.
Unknown Is The Real King!.......2002-11-05
The future is Unknown, baby! This is the second set of chart toppin' Unknown hits. Not for the "politically correct" in any sense of the word. My favorite cuts included "The Trunk of My Cadillac Car" (a typical Unknown "date"), "Hippie Girl" (Unknown's encounter with a co-ed), "Fishcamp Woman (LIVE)" (sample line "Fishcamp woman...baby I like the way you smell."), and my personal favorite: "Foggy Windows" (call the "law dawgs" if you want). One of the funniest things I have ever heard in my life. Unknown is faithful to the genre while he makes fun of it. He also happens to be a fantastic guitar player. If you ever get the chance to see this guy in concert...don't miss it. Who cares if he is a country-western singing vampire? Get your hands on all things Unknown!

He's a great live show and that same energy comes across in the CD too. There is no way to detail the assets of this performance - catchy lyrics, very funny dark humor, top notch musicianship, well, you just have to hear it.

Some of the best guitar work I've heard combined with the most unusual, hilarious lyrics, Unknown will change your perception of country music forever. When you find yourself singing the lyrics to "I ain't afraid of your husband, baby, I'll be over tonight" (and you are a married woman) you'll realize what I mean. Much fun, entertainment, the future will soon be known.

Superb religious music.......2005-07-29
The first 5 songs are well-known religious solos by Western masters, including the Gounod and Caccini "Ave Maria"'s, with organ accompaniment.
After that "warm-up" the Leningrad chamber choir accompanies the soloist for 7 Russian orthodox pieces. I think Frunza's "My soul doth magnify the Lord" is as beautiful music as you could wish to find anywhere.
Lina Mkrtchyan has a glorious contralto voice and an assured and heartfelt delivery, and the choir are great too with spot-on intonation and a beautiful sound.
