I recently acquired all 7 of these Garage Beat '66s. The sound quality is right up there with the 1998 Nuggets re-release, in other words, as good as it gets. Upon first listen, their allure may prove elusive. However, just like with nuggets, the second listen and every subsequent listen rewards the listener, exponentially. These gems grow on you like a Green Fuzz. You'll be walking around hearing voices, green and purple. I'm so much more comfortable with the snotty sixties than that peace and love bunk. Long live garage rock

Fantastic CD from a great band.......2006-09-27
This is my favorite Hi-Risers cd yet. Standouts include That Rock & Roll Beat, Red Kazoo, Ready Teddy, and the somber Daddy Mows the Grass. Anyone who's into 60's sounding rock & roll should buy this. Music the way it should be.

WOW... 911 gives you ROCK'N ROLL... the way it was MEANT to be! My Favorites on "Mile in Her Shoes" are probably WONT GIVE UP, SUNDANCE and SIMPLE LIFE. The title track is also one that'll get you up and dancin'! The talent of these guys is evident, the acoustics are incredible, and the beat is PURE INTENSITY. A little FUNK, a little BLUES, and a LOT of ROCK! 911 has the Power to MOVE YOU... Both INSIDE And OUT!

When I hear the sounds of this band and the emotions captured, it it truly a gift to hear and feel this band. I found them live first and got the cd to follow.Its is a very high energy and positive sound. Its a very tight band. It also has Drew Tillman. You have to see this Band. There is so much more to say. Get the cd and hear the Band you will aggree.

I have fully enjoyed this C.D. The words to these songs have a lot of heart and ring true to everyone. A lot of artist are missing this approach to music today. If you want something with solid feel and a hard kick, I highly recommend this C.D.

I've been listening to 911 for years. They are the best! I've been waiting a long time for a CD that I could share with the entire world. You haven't heard the best unless you've listened to 911. Drews vocals are magnificent. The guitars and drums get you moving. Rock will never be the same. Enjoy... Now I'm anxiously waiting for the second CD!!
Mile in Her Shoes.......2000-06-29
This is a fantastic album! The lead guitarist is especially awesome, and talented both on guitar and in lyrics. I especially enjoyed "Sundance", which is all instrumental, a real showpiece for Drew, and the instrumentals on "Romeo and Juliet". "Won't Give Up" is a strong piece, sincere, energizing, excellent lyrics. This group definitely is bound for the spotlight in Rock and Blues.
