Simply amazing. In all the time I have spent looking at reviews, I have only come across one negative and I'm sorry to say, that person now sits in jail for use of drugs!

I first heard Butterfly at the Sarah McLachlan concert. I loved her! Not right off the bat, we call it the Butterfly Effect. At first your not big on it, but as you go you crave the music. I bought the CD and loved each one on it! Amazing songs! AND she played every instrument that you hear! TALENT!

Also, if you ever want a real musician all the way around, here she is! I met her back last December in Nashville. Completely selfless and so nice. My dad got her autograph for me because I was too nervous then he comes back with the camera out and wants a picture of us together. We walk back over and she is putting her guitar away and trying to clean up. He said, "Butterfly? Can we get a picture." So, she literally dropped everything in her hands and jumped up, put her arm around me and smiled for the camera! Then she actually started up a conversation! She is so nice, talented, amazing, incredible...Did I mention talented?

All I have to say is...Most everyone would love this album because it has it all! Some mellow, some rock it has everything from A to Z!

Butterfly Boucher will be sound to some people like a foreign language. The public probably isn't even aware someone called this exists! Butterfly is an amazing singer, her thought provoking lyrics and catchy hooks are something to savour. Her voice is totally unique and her style of writing is different as well. Flutterby provides excellent listening and is a true gem. I am so lucky I discovered this album. I highly recommend this album to anyone.

Not boxing's latest flyweight contender as her name might suggest, Butterfly Boucher (yep that's her real name) is in fact an exceptionally talented musician who has delivered a first round knock-out in the form of her debut album Flutterby.

One of seven daughters from a musical and free-spirited Aussie family, Butterfly has an inate abilty to craft beautiful, imaginative and suprising rock songs and has mastered all of the essential instruments involved in that process. As a result, Flutterby is a pure distillation of Butterfly's talent and vision.

As soon as the chorus of opener 'Life Is Short' hits, you know that you're in for something quite different and Flutterby doesn't disappoint with each successive song leaving it's mark or getting under the skin or taking over the senses - usually through a naggingly good hook. This record is full of them.

It seems a little pointless to play favourites when literally every song here is great, but the wonderfully other-wordly 'A Beautiful Book' is particularly appreciated by this listener.

Debut albums are rarely this accomplished, or for that matter this good. Flutterby is a feast of melody and Butterfly a multi-talented rock goddess.

Why Butterfly Boucher isn't getting more airplay on alternative stations is beyond me. Her voice resonates with a confidence and maturity well beyond her years in songs that are simple yet sophisticated observations of life and love. The music isn't overly produced or sweetened like what is considered mainstream pop so it has a raw sincerity that matches Butterfly's voice. My favorite tracks are I Can't Make Me, Another White Dash and Soul Back. These are songs I listen to over and over again and they never lose their emotional edge. I can't wait for her next release.

Everyone needs to buy this CD!! Butterfly is a phenomenal talent and needs to be heard. My stepdaughter turned us onto her awhile back, and we praise all this incredibly talented woman puts forth! What a treasure to us all! Mark my words, this young lady is headed for 'Super-Stardom'! Good Luck Butterfly, you're a 'one off' for sure and we love you!

    I first heard the song on 88.5 XPN and I was immediately set to find more about her and buy the cd. To my dismay, the cd has been stalling.. even still you can see Butterfly Boucher touring with the barenaked ladies. I am not sure why she is tourning with them, but atleast she is out there! Her sweet voice set the folky music is truely refreshing.

    I first heard three of Butterfly Boucher's songs on Spinner's Eclectic XL channel. I was immediately attracted to the cheerful melodies and lilting variety in her songs. The lyrics are poetic and beautiful, and she backs it up with clean, pretty vocals. As a budding musician, I can't help but admire the talent she has to play and arrange all the instruments, they all go together beautifully. This CD is an uplifting experience. Each track is refreshingly distinct from the others, some more growly bass and driving beat and some more gently and breezy. Energetic and colorful, her music makes you want to sing along.
    I highly recommend this disc, even though it is still only available as an import. It's well worth the price.
