About the Artist
Akin to a diverse range of artists such as Tori Amos, Ben Folds, Spiritualized, Travis, Rufus Wainwright, Mangia (pronounced Manja) is a uniquely perspective songwriter and storyteller.

Product Description
After two years of composing and recording, Pianist and Singer/Songwriter Michael Mangia is set to release his second full-length album, The Invisible Wall. Akin to a diverse range of artists such as Tori Amos, Ben Folds, Spiritualized, Travis and Rufus Wainwright. The story of a painter, The Invisible Wall takes listeners through his canvas filled with the lives of addicted porn stars and their admirers, children's sci-fi fantasy books, an Italian boy's father's death, the façade filled world of Hollywood, and the effects of television on society. "As the story started to reveal itself, I started to piece this one wildly crazy puzzle together from different angles, time zones, and consciousness... It's an exploration of the facets of oneself you can wish to look at or not." says Mangia. Producing the album himself, Michael took a new approach this time around. "In order to translate the abstraction in my heart and head, I had to play around with a different sonic palate than what I was used to. I brought in some really amazing players which added to the base of the iceberg. We used a lot more layered guitars which opened up more doors."

Great CD its got a great remix of Just One Fix, and Jesus Built My hotrod is ok. The only problem with it is that it's lost the hard in-your-face beat that the original hotrod's had. Other than that it's a perfect CD for ministry fans 5 stars

The album cover does a good job at setting this album up, a ladder leaning against an invisible wall ready to take you somewhere you can't always see. This album pulls you in with the very beginning track Arbitraries which feels like a dream and carries you on its slow rhythm and beautiful piano. Other stand out tracks include Barbie Doll, Star*boy, and Judas Valentine. The bonus track Life Support on Xmas is great too. Fans of Tori Amos, and Rufus Wainright will really enjoy Mangia. I am going to have to check out his first album now!
