If you like instrumental guitar music, you will love this set. This is Harvey Mandel at his most imaginative best. Unless you've listened to Mandel before, you have never heard anything like this. I don't care if the albums are over 30 years old, this stuff is timeless.

Mandel's melodies are unique. His technique is superb. What I wouldn't give to have a digitally re-mixed version of these songs!

I'll say it again. If you love rock or jazz or fusion guitar music, buy this album! You will not regret it, I promise.

I'm a big Satriani fan. I like Steve Vai, Malmsteen, Hendrix, and the like. If your tastes are in this neighborhood and you've never heard Harvey Mandel from the late 60-s to mid-70's, you will be very pleased to hear this.

One more example of this artist's futuristic grasp of things to come much later..Star Trek meets Muddy Waters. One of the very few white boys accepted into the fold of the Chicago scene, Harvey listened well to the masters then got beamed up to where the confines of 12 bars didn't exist. If they get this back in stock, grab it. He's wired completely different than anyone else that ever learned an open E chord..
