Something happened to Spoon between records five and six--they got big. It's not as if these unprepossessing Texans were unpopular before, but after Gimme Fiction, their music was everywhere. There was Britt Daniel, who has since moved to Oregon, singing karaoke on cult favorite Veronica Mars, there was his soundtrack for deadpan Will Ferrell vehicle Stranger Than Fiction, and then there were the countless times their tunes, especially 2002's "The Way We Get By," appeared in other movies and TV shows. The irony is that they hadn't signed to a major label (they tried that in the 1990s; it didn't take). Nor had they given their sound a major overhaul. Maybe it was a change of publicist, or maybe the times had simply caught up with these "faux punks/gentlemen dudes." In any case, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is the mark of men confident enough to give their album one of the world's goofiest titles (at least it's an improvement over Queen's "Radio Ga Ga"). If Gimme Fiction was a transitional work, record number six moves even further away from the angularity of Wire and other early influences. "The Ghost of You Lingers," for instance, is downright dreamy, while "You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb" is brass-bedecked power-pop (with chimes!). Open-minded listeners will surely find this Beatlesque song cycle irresistible. Fans of the Spoon's darker, more dramatic material might want to check their expectations at the door. Album Description

This record starts with "Don't Make Me A Target", a song that builds on Spoon's familiar minimal rhythmic piano/guitar vamp popularized on earlier hits like "Small Stakes" or "The Way We Get By". The album quickly moves into uncharted territory with the atmospheric "The Ghost Of You Lingers" and moves through several different stylistic changes from the explosive "You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb" to the wall-of-sound horns of radio single "The Underdog". Their most heartfelt batch of songs since 2001's "Girls Can Tell".

Four 1/2.......2007-07-15

Those who are afraid of Spoon's lastest endevour to be a departure from "Gimme Fiction", be afaraid. Be very afraid. No. Seriously. Relax. Ignore those ridiculous "reviewers" who are saying, "Where's the new "Turn My Camera On" at?" Why do you need another? Good bands should be about progessing their musical palate and although "Ga(5x)" isn't, say a "Kid A", it's still progression; a good progession. There's not a terrible song on here. So I wish people would stop hoping for "Gimme Fiction, again".
"Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga" is really a solid album with great tracks. I would like to respond to the reviewer who said that "Rhthm and Soul" is a throwaway when it's obviously one of the best tracks on the album. The best track, however, has to be "The Underdog", a catchy and infectious pop tune with horns a la Jon Brion. "My Little Japanese Cigarette Case" is good, too. "Don't you Evah" is terrific! "You Got Your Cherry Bomb" is wonderful! "The Ghost of you still Lingers" actually lingers in a creepy way (Ooooooooo).
This is not an album that one has to listen to it multiple time in order to see it's beauty. You can see it or should I say hear it loud and clear. If anything "Ga(5x)", to me, is some what similar to "Girls Can Tell", an excellent album. Anyone remember that one?

I don't get it.......2007-07-15

I am, have been, the biggest Spoon fan ever, and rate "Girls Can Tell", "Kill the Moonlight", and especially "Gimme Fiction" as among some of the best rock albums ever. In fact, I've frequently said that Spoon is doing what the Beatles would be doing if they were still together. So I've only listened to this a couple of times, but it's not hitting me--and I've heard the songs before because I've seen Spoon recently--and awesomely--in concert a couple of times. But this sounds like Spoon "lite" or a band trying to be Spoon but doesn't have the spark. Where is the contrapuntal energy of "I Turn My Camera On?" Where is the hookiness of, well, almost everything else? I looked forward to this album for so long, but now I just feel ga, ga, ga, ga, ga about it.

They found it in commercial appeal this time. Spoon is a band of singular vision whose idiosyncracies should actually make them one of the biggest bands in the States. Sadly, another straight classic will largely be ignored by the public. "The Underdog", "Finer Feelings", and "Don't You Evah" are hooky singles that deserve heavy radio rotation and ringtone ubiquity. Do us all a favor, buy, listen, love.

Where's the Spoon of old?.......2007-07-11

With success from songs such as "The Way We Get By" and "I Turn My Camera On", Spoon has decided to take the pop route. I liked it in small doses but not for an entire album. It felt like this album could be played to any given episode of the O.C. How unfortunate that the band that gave us gems like "Lines in the Suit" and "Change My Life" would resort to cheap commercialism. I can't wait to count how many of these songs will soon be in commercials for cars, cola, jeans, etc...

This is far and above the best record that Spoon has recorded yet! In a career full of steller records, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga exceeds my expectations completely!

"Many years from now" must have seemed like an understatement to 16-year-old Paul McCartney, wondering if he'd still be needed or fed at the age of 64. As it turned out, all doubt as to the latter had ceased by his 22nd birthday (though few could have predicted he'd end up washing down those meals with the liquid pride of Seattle). As to the former? Now that McCartney, as of the date of this album's release, has reached that mythic age, his greatest work is 40 years behind him, his solo peak over 30 years gone. Does the world need a new Paul McCartney album? The answer is yes, at least as much as it needs anything else that passes for music these days. With Memory Almost Full, Macca is back. No, it's not Ram or Band on the Run. It might not even be Flowers in the Dirt--in 1989, he had a full band, the support of Linda, and Elvis Costello as a collaborator. Here, he's on his own. Literally: on the majority of the tracks, everything but the strings is multi-instrumentalist Paul. But the surprise is that it's one of his freest, loosest affairs in years, sonically reminiscent of the Tug of War/Pipes of Peace era with nods to Abbey Road in the album-closing medley, McCartney's gravelly tones on "Gratitude," and 2007's version of "Her Majesty," the palate-cleansing "Nod Your Head." It's a surprise because of the album's inescapable sense of retrospection ("Ever Present Past," "Vintage Clothes," "That Was Me") and even a bit of weariness. The next-to-last song is "The End of the End," after all, in which McCartney tells us about what he'd like to happen "on the day that I die." (He wants "songs that were sung/to be hung out like blankets/that lovers have played on/and laid on while listening to songs that were sung," and will likely get his wish.) But it never gets overwhelming, for McCartney mostly resists his tendency to get plodding and maudlin. In fact, Memory Almost Full must be the most sanguine album made during the dissolution of a marriage since...well, ever. "What went out is coming back," he sings in "Vintage Clothes," and from the sound of things, that may not be just wishful thinking. What's past is prologue; if we're lucky, what to come may be McCartney's late renaissance. --Benjamin Lukoff

Dreadful! Sad!.......2007-07-16

The first two tracks are the only ones I can stand to listen to. The rest, I tried once but kept fast-forwarding about 30 seconds into each song. I was listening to this in the kitchen and my husband came in and said, "GOD! Is THIS the new McCartney CD? Pretty sad!" I couldn't have said it better.

I've been a Paul McCartney fan since the Beatles hit America. The material in "Memory Almost Full" is some of his best effort in years, and should please most McCartney fans. HOWEVER... the recording quality on most Beatles songs was FAR better. This CD is recorded SO LOUD that it overdrives a CD player's D-to-A conversion circuits. I realize many of today's listeners prefer their music on a 3-inch speaker with the same frequency response as AM radio of the early 1950's. But Paul McCartney appeals to an older audience and SOME of us have good stereo systems. What a shame that such excellent material and performances are recorded with only slightly better fidelity than two tin cans on a string! And the "Deluxe" edition is in an "overkill" case, fatter than a DVD movie case, which will fit in NO ONE'S CD rack! I'd give Paul's efforts an A+, but the engineering and packaging earns an F.

Great album great show.......2007-07-13

I was priveleged to be able to see Paul perform 5 of the new numbers in NY exactly a month ago today. It was extraordinary. House of Wax had the room levitating off the floor. How one person is capable of producing so much brilliant work is amazing. Nod Your Head takes on a new meaning when you are asked to do so by Paul. I would have given that the weakest song on the album but hearing it live just brought it up to par. The only part I don't like about the album is the mixing. It sounds too harsh for my ears and I would have preferred a softer approach, but tweaking a few knobs usually takes care of that. Thanks once again for another brilliant album in less than 2 years!

The Worst Brings Out His Best.......2007-07-13

It seems adversity and personal turmoil bring out the best in Mr. McCartney. Think about it. "McCartney" was recorded as the Beatles were breaking up. "Band on the Run" was recorded after two members left Wings at the last minute before the band was to travel to Nigeria to record the album. "Tug of War" came in the aftermath of John Lennon's murder. "Flaming Pie" was released as Linda McCartney was fighting a losing battle with breast cancer. And now comes "Memory Almost Full", recorded as McCartney faces an ugly late-in-life divorce. You'd never know it. The music is for the most part upbeat and optimistic. Beautiful melodies abound. It's bouncy and sunny, and even the dark passages are tinged with light. There is some very Wings-sounding rock. Yes, Sir Paul's voice sounds strained in places (he is 65), but for the most part he sounds good -- almost relieved to be singing again. The CD is a welcome departure from his last two, the sloppy "Driving in the Rain" and the absolutely morose sounding -- though for some reason critically acclaimed -- "Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard". McCartney and his original bandmates defined what creative rock stardom was all about. Sir Paul continues to do so in the context of senior citizenship. May he go on aging so gracefully.

Pop up.......2007-07-08

This, Avril's third album, is a bit more upbeat and a bit less angsty than her last attempt. As with both her previous albums, The Best Damn Thing is an album that I find best to cherry pick for the songs I like. With my five favorites from this album, there is enough material over her three albums to put together a pretty decent showing. But there are still 2-3 songs on this album that I won't ever listen to again.

A talented artist wasted........2007-07-06

The Best Damn Thing by Avril Lavigne is a sad and pathetic album. I liked Avril's Let Go and Under My Skin discs but her third album is as silly as the title itself. I think Avril has a wonderful, strong voice and an average songwriter but I don't know what has happened to her. I guess marriage softened her but this new bubble gum image and that blonde hair has got to go. She has so much talented and she's just throwing it away. It's so disappointing with lyrics like, "hey, hey, hey you I don't like your girlfriend, I think you need a new one..." Hopefully my little Candianan will knock it out of the park on her next album. Don't waste your time and money on this trash!

It grows on you.......2007-07-03

This is a different approach for Avril compared to her first two albums. It sounds like she has been listening to some Toni Basil, because there is a good bit of cheerleader like musicical influences in the sound she is putting out now. Combine that with the more raw punk attitude of the skate parks and a large amount of teen angst, and you get this album.

Originally I purchaed the censored version of this album, but realized I could not stand the censoring that was going on. The blanks in the singing just threw me off. Within two weeks of listening to the censored version, I ordered the uncensored one, and haven't gone back since.

All out fun power pop........2007-07-01

"Girlfriend" was logically the first single from this CD. It's the best. Yes, it's a throwback to that "Hey Mickey" stuff (although it rocks more) but I liked "Hey Mickey". Does every freakin song have to be serious? Can't we just have fun listening to music once in a while?

There are 4 or 5 tracks that could easily be singles on the CD and they probably will become just that. Her label will likely milk this for a few years.

Compared to her last two it's somewhat a mix of the styles. The more pop-oriented of her first and the harder-edged sounds of her second CD (which I didn't care much for).

It's kind of a nice mix. You don't get too much of either. :)

On the other hand, I much preferred her first CD so to me this is much like a return to that sound.

A few of the tracks are more "punk" than I like, but those same tracks will likely appeal to many of her fans.

If you like Avril, then you must buy this CD (however, you probably already have).

Get her new CD from Amazon, not TARGET.......2007-06-29

I had to buy this CD twice. I went to Target and got the CD, along with another one. As I'm listening to the songs, some of the words were "bleeped" out. I'm extremely disappointed since I've never had a problem with Target in the past. However, they seem to be following Wal-Marts lead. So, I will always make sure I get my music from here or Best Buy, at least I am getting my money's worth.
At least I was able to give the other CD to my step-daughter, now she can listen to it without all the bad words in.

However, Avril did a great job, I love all her CD's, can't wait for the next one.

At long last, Lindsay Lohan and Meryl Streep sing on the same CD. Okay, so they don't actually duet, but both do perform on the soundtrack to Robert Altman's take on Garrison Keillor's popular radio show. (Keillor fans will know exactly what to expect, as the film is scrupulously faithful to his universe, and Keillor and his Shoe Band wrote a good deal of the songs.) As anybody who's seen Postcards from the Edge knows, Streep can really sing, and she sounds great in the rootsy, old-style country vein that makes up most of this soundtrack. Her rollicking duets with her screen sister Lily Tomlin, "My Minnesota Home" and "Goodbye to My Mama," are priceless. Woody Harrelson and John C. Reilly are beyond crusty on "Whoop-I-Ti-Yi-Yo," which sounds like both an outtake from and a parody of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, while "Bad Jokes" is, well, just that. As for Lohan, who plays Streep's daughter, her version of "Frankie & Johnny" is a little shaky but heartfelt and kinda adorable. Purists, you can start hollering now. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

I love the music to this movie. The band is superb and the instrumentals are great!! The words are upbeat and heartfelt. It brought back wonderful memories of growing up and thinking of all my family and relatives. I only wish I could find more CD's that the band plays together on.

I bought the soundtrack since I enjoyed the music when I watched the movie.You can listen to the excellent deliveries of country music songs from Garrison Keillor,Woody Harrelson,Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin.In my opinion the best reason to buy the CD is to hear Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin singing the "My Minnesota Home".They are just fantastic!Pleasant suprise is the well prepared DVD that complements the CD and contains some songs that you don't find in the CD.

This is a wonderful collection of songs, sung with warmth and heart - a true treasury of music.
The highlight has to be, though, the beautiful voice of Meryl Streep. Not only is she the world's greatest living actress, but she is a profoundly talented and gifted vocalist. Her grace, warmth, depth, and beauty give a gorgeous elegance - and eloquence - to the songs she performs. I challenge anyone to listen to "Goodbye to My Mama" without becoming teary-eyed. Streep is, in every way, quite simply...extraordinary.
A highly recommended collection of entertaining and touching songs.

Radiohead's American follow-up to OK Computer is essentially a glorified single for "Airbag," the song that also opens the album, with six new tracks appended (including an instrumental). They're mostly cut from the same cloth as the album, but briefer and flinchier--Thom Yorke's voice, gentle and clear as it is, seems like it can barely push past waves of horror into audibility. Once again, they plumb a few Pink Floydian tricks--the tapes of not-quite-clear voices that open "A Reminder," the pacing, descending riff of "Pearly"--and, though none of the new tracks is quite up to the level of OK Computer (they could well be outtakes), they fit together into a short, despairing suite. --Douglas Wolk

One review mentioned paying $70 for this CD. If you are wondering why - this CD must have gone out of print for awhile.
A few years ago this CD could not be found under $30 used.

And it is an essential companion to OK Computer.

A nice companion to "OK Computer.".......2007-04-29

I've always heard from many Radiohead fans about the quality of the B-sides being pretty good, and while I wanted to get a hold of the stuff, most of it was imports so I thought it was a sky high investment, if I were to do it. And I didn't get into Radiohead until a few years after even this compilation. And it's a great compilation, even if a little bit incomplete for some.

I really love OK Computer and was looking forward to the B-side. People who own that album already know the first track, "Airbag," which is Radiohead greatness, and with some excellent Thom Yorke lyrics, guitar effects and playing, and such. It's actually the song that inspired me to buy said album.

As for the B-sides, they aren't as good as that album, but I think it's far above average, even for B-sides. I really liked the instrumental "Meeting in the Aisle," as well as the others. The songs here are actually pretty catchy, particularly in "Palo Alto," the last track on the record. It's back in print after a long time. So no longer is it "limited edition" as Amazon.com lists. And at some places it is sold at a very good price; you can get it for roughly eight bucks at your nearest Best Buy.

Overall, a casual Radiohead fan may not want this, but if you're into the group already, I recommend it. And in comparison to the actual studio albums, I'd actually put it ahead of the last two LP's, as well as of course Pablo Honey (has moments but is scattershot).

Dear Amazon: "OK Computer" is the title of that album, and taking it out of my title makes no sense at all. Also, I apologize for price comparisons, although I'd either be a lot poorer or would own way less music if I never did such a thing.

Save your money.......2007-04-25

Let me just start by saying OK Computer is one of my favorite albums ever. That level of creativity has rarely been approached by anybody. That being said, there is a reason these songs were not included in that album: it's because they're just not really that great. The material on "Airbag" just does not stand up to the OK Computer material.

Airbag, which incidentally happens to be the only track on OK Computer, happens to be the best song on this EP. Most of the others seem disorganized and disoriented... "Pearly" is a clear step down from the track that precedes it. "Polyethylene" is decent, but would still only make an average (at best) song on OK Computer.

If you already have all of Radiohead's material, go ahead and get this. But get the rest of it (with the obvious exception of Pablo Honey) first.

Cheaper alternative for the US to obtain some of OK's b-sides..........2006-10-13

...But where are tracks like "Lull" and "How I Made Millions"? While they are definitely not Radiohead's greatest, I think they should have been included in this collection as well.

Airbag/How Am I Driving? is very similar to OK Computer, but still dabbles in some Bends-era guitars. The reason why this EP is an essential purchase is this: it contains the song "Pearly" which is definitely one of Radiohead's best tracks, up there with Idioteque and Paranoid Android.

great band, great music. DVD with "old" hits is a bonus but i can only watch it in computer 'cos Im in Iceland but this one is for US and Canada - Anyway, my mistake!
I cannot say this cd is the best from Muse so far but whatever, all of them are good. Bellamy is a genious, no doubt.

I got the cd by itself for a gift...I bought this copy with the DVD because I absolutly HAD to see how the heck they get all that music out of just 3 guys. I am not usually into concert DVD's, but this one literally ROCKS!! If you are a Muse fan, this is a must have.

CD is awesome, and the DVD(Zone1) is just the Absolution Tour DVD, so if you have the DVD already, is it worth buying this one? If you collect all muse releases, then yes, it is worth it since its a limited edition...
On the CD, I hoped there'll be a track of Glorious(to make it different from original CD, but no... Its a copy/paste of Absolution DVD and a Copy/Paste of BH&R Audio-CD.

A must have boxed set.......2007-01-10

I really like this collection of Garth Brooks music. I have heard most of his tracks through the years, but I have never been able to find any of his discs. I like all the discs in the box. My favorite is the double live disc. I always like a good concert album every now and then, and Brooks holds nothing back on this one. My favorite track is friends in low places. He really gets the audience involved with this one. I know he released a studio version of the track, but it was really just ment to be a live track. For you Brooks fans, there is also a dvd included in the box that includes a gallery of photos, and an interview with brooks along with live performances. A good bonus in my opinion. This is Brooks's gift to all his fans.

excellent choice.......2006-06-03

This wasn't too bad a boxed set. While it contains a few of Garth's past albums (i.e. Scarecrow and Sevens), he could have done what he did on his past set and add a new song to each album. The Double Live CD adds another cover to your collection. I think the DVD in the set was a nice addition, as it includes a few of his videos and interviews. I think the Lost Sessions CD was also a nice touch. Just about any Garth fan will like this. Add it to your collection and soon.

classic garth ! even the "new stuff" included is classic..........2006-04-11

Ok first you get 4 of Garth's past CDs. Sevens (5 star), Scarecrow (5 star), and Double Live (5 star). Basically going to walmart and getting the box set gets you these discs for free. If you have these cds already, they are probably worn out and you might need new copies anyway. Perfect way to get them right here! Then the big news here is "The Lost Sessions." Wow, what a breath of fresh air. This album is great. It has every type of Garth song you want to hear. The fun stuff, the moving stuff, and the classic country stuff. This cd is going to be big. Of course now there are 2 versions, the box set version ..and the "out of the box version." Get them both! THe DVD in the set is great too. Garth gives great insight and then you have the music......What a trip down memory lane. MY ADVICE IS GET THE SET WHILE IT LASTS. GO TO WALMART!

Fans of Rickie Lee Jones and Jesus Christ can decide whether this devotional music is rapturously spiritual or deliriously strange. It sounds like nothing Jones has previously released, or anything characterizable as contemporary Christian. Instead, her voice soars and wobbles through repetitive, stream-of-consciousness incantations over rhythmic throbs and pulses. On "Where I Like It Best," Jones testifies to the power of private prayer (while seeming to cast churchgoers as hypocrites). The feral distortions of "Tried to Be a Man" recall some of the textures (if not the themes) of her former boyfriend Tom Waits, while the acoustic setting of "Donkey Ride" features guitar tunings that might make Sonic Youth wince and "Elvis Cadillac" conjures a singular vision of heaven. At close to eight and a half minutes, the closing "I Was There" seems to follow Van Morrison into the mystic. Some of this music is oddly affecting; much of it is merely odd. --Don McLeese

interesting idea falls short.......2007-06-27

I felt the "Sermon" was a great idea.. the Gospel according to Rickie Lee. The lyrics are compelling and filled with that wonderful poignant, poetic Rickie Lee touch, but the music seemed like an afterthought. It just didn't interest me very much, and did not stay with me. the DVD was so boring, I couldn't get through the whole thing.
Maybe that was her idea, to just set a story to music, but I much prefer her other albums with songs that are memorable and singable.

Spectacular.......2007-06-24

I have been listening to this album since January and I must say I am as entranced by it now as I was on the first listen. This album is raw, passionate, thought-provoking and inspiring- like great music should be.
I am not religious or spiritual but this album speaks to me like no other release this year.
Rickie Lee Jones fans should love it and I only hope that people not previously exposed to this extraordinary musician will take a chance on this CD. You will not be disappointed.

spellbinding.......2007-05-23

If the number of plays on my iPod is a sign, this is my favorite RLJ CD in many years. I've bought and liked everything she's put out, but this one...well, it's not the type of CD you can immediately and easily figure out. It's musically and lyrically different than anything she's done in the past. But it's the type of CD that compels you to play it often to investigate the mystery. It draws you in. I keep going back to it. It reminds me of David Bowie's Low or Neil Young or Lou Reed, a complex work done out of the comfort zone, not done with great commercial expectations that turns out to be a mighty work of art. I really can't explain much about it lyrically and don't know exactly what she's aiming for, but I am thrilled and moved trying to figure it out. Also, the computer sound files are of great quality that puts iTunes to shame.

Donkey Ride.......2007-05-19

When this CD was released, I ran out & bought it as soon as it hit the store shelves in our town. I read a glowing review that told me Rickie Lee was exploring spiritual themes on a very different disc. I opted for the DVD 2-disc version. First, I watched the DVD. I think this DVD would be good for musicians looking to see how a seasoned veteran works in the studio. We see Rickie in very informal attire looking like a working musician. It's not particularly entertaining, however. Perhaps watching her in concert performing this set would have had more polish. It is neat to see Rickie in her home office where she obviously works, but the song takes are not entrancing. The material on the disc has grown on me. I think I would describe the material more as "religious" rather than "spiritual." There isn't a lot here about values or lessons. This is more like a Jesus biography. On one of the more accessible tracks, "Elvis Cadillac," Rickie Lee free associates with her strumming putting a smile on your face, "Standing in the doorway, I'm happy living here. Everyone tries so hard to sing a song no one can hear." "Circle in the Sand" is probably the best song that stands alone on its own with its driving beat and Rickie's expressive vocals, "When an angel picked me up, she called my name; There is charity, but says power, money & fame." Much of the rest of the disc is enjoyable, but rather formless. "It Hurts" & "Donkey Ride" do hurt to listen to. While I enjoy Rickie Lee's thematic exploration, the music just doesn't work very well. Rickie Lee is a terrific singer. I'm glad to have this chapter of her work, but it won't be the one that goes into the changer frequently. The DVD may never be seen again. Taxi.

The cleverness of Fall Out Boy's lyrical content is immediately evident by looking at the song titles on their sophomore disc, From Under the Cork Tree. "A Little Less 'Sixteen Candles,' a Little More 'Touch Me,'" "I Slept with Someone in Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me" and "Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year" are but a small taste of the group's acerbic attitude. After FOB's indie debut hit the underground charts, the group's sudden indie-style success made for a fast growth spurt. Their appeal is obvious, from frontman Patrick Stump's Killer-esque pipes (especially evidenced in the disc-closing "XO") to their very melodic teen-angst anthems. While much of the disc operates at usual punk-pop speed, the highlight comes from a slower, emotion-laden cut called "I've Got a Dark Alley and a Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth." This song of living in the public while working through private pain is a beautiful, multilayered number that stays with you long after the album is over. --Denise Sheppard

Fall out boy.......2006-10-26

I was skeptical about buying after hearing "Sugar, We're Going Down" but after hearing "A Little Less Sixteen Candles" I knew I'd like it. It's a very witty cd full different types of songs. Definately not one of those cds where all the songs sound the same. It's one of the few cds I can put in and listen to for long drives and never want to change.

(From Under the Cork Tree) get it? ignore everyone who complains about fall out boy being a punk posuer. fall out boy isnt punk and isnt trying to be. If you dont like snitches and talkers get stitches and walkers (and come on, think about the title for a minuite and then realize how funny it is....) you need to re-listen to the song. It's a good, darker version of fall out boy. realize that pete wentz used to be a hardcore raver with blonde dreadlocks, and used to be in a hardcore metal band called 'Arma Angelus' look it up in itunes and you'll realize why pete does the screaming. Also, can i point out that The Sex Pistols were the orignal people to 'sell out'? They were basically created to be walking adverstisments for a store called 'SEX' They were a legend but were never the 'true punks' they WERE BILLBOARDS. it pisses me off when people compare other bands to the sex pistols like that. The sex pistols were sell-outs from the begining. i think they made quite a bit of money to support their drug habits too.

the point is, BUY THE CD. Snitches and talkers is more rock/hardcore The music or the misery surprised me by being very pop, My heart is the worst weapon is slower but unlike the version on my heart is the b-side to my tongue, has drums bass etc. The sugar remix sound like windchimes, and the Dance Dance remix is very techno and makes me want to do the robot. :-)

Mathew Braxmeier --- Generic Emo??? I bet you have never listened to Emo in your life man... Clueless Whiner!!! And as for a title lenght... What would you preffer? Something short n catchy for you like 'Wannabe' By the Spicegirls??? Did you buy the album or just search for sum bands you probably knew you wouldnt like so that u could moan about em???

And as for Jane Doe --- HHHMMMM there is the 'old favourite' Nirvana... WOW that would be amazing for sumbody to not like Nirvana thesedays... Granted they did write a few good songs... Heck even spawned Foo Fighters after the death but jesus samuel christ!!! Ive yet to meet sumbody thats not in love with them...

And before you sit there and say... Aw i bet he hasnt heard anything other than smells like teen spirit and come as you are... Wrong! I have every album... I just choose not to listen to them to fall under the typical Category of Anotherone who goes with the crowd...

As for Black Flag, Sex Pistols and The misfits... Wow a little bit of taste from someone who has yet to have a little bit of variation in her taste!!! Move with the times Jane... All great bands in their time just as Fall Out is a brilliant band of this time!!!

Every song just as catchy as the next with this album... Yet to hear how they can sound the same as AFI, Greenday or Panic!

Anyone who wants to whine send them my way... Im sure Jane will i noticed the only 2 reviews were complete and utter moans...

Buy this album... It is sheer genius!!!

well the band sounds like a yellow card,simple plan,panic at the disco,all american rejects etc. ALL of the bands have the same sound and music that a person from 10-17 would buy. And you proboly saw the video before hearing the song on the radio. If your older 18 and up. you need to get in to some GOOD music. Try the ramones, the offspring, sex pistols or even green day.
