Through a variety of links on the internet I discovered Stephanie Schneiderman. I bought her first CD more out of curiosity than anything else, but I gotta tell you, it's one of the most pleasant surprises I've ever experienced. Give it a try. I just bought her second disc, Touch Down, and am hoping for similar results.

lacking in depth.......2003-10-23

Stephanie has a nice raw voice. But, it lacks depth. She seems to be singing about someone else's expereinces, not embodying them herself. I'd encourage her to allow herself to really feel what she is singing. Otherwise, I don't imagine she'll go very far.

Unbelievably Unbroken.......2001-11-30

I'm not sure which is more brilliant: the clarity of Stephanie's voice or the sensitivity of her songwriting. No matter; why ponder such complexities. Just listen and hear that together -- her voice and her writing -- add up to a classic example of 1+1=5. As in 5 stars.
