Editorial Reviews
Product Description
Current Japanese group led by the talented Akihisa TSUBOY (Violin and guitar), K.B.B. has given us in "Lost And Found", its first album, a brilliant and colorful work that combines the earthy power of GERARD or VIENNA with the melodic finesse of OUTER LIMITS or UK, sprinkled here and there with discreet touches of jazz-rock reminiscent of the work of Jean-Luc PONTY. A musical cocktail of rare intensity. Without any doubt one of the strongest revelations of the year 2001 !
"Four Corner's Sky" (2003) follows the same path in a beautiful manner. If one can recognize the K.B.B. landmark right from the first notes, we could also notice that it went a step further with much more diversity in composition. Jazz now fights with Progressive rock and improvisation though the whole disc. To conclude, here's another must-have !

KBB - Another Strong Effort.......2007-07-05
Another very nice effort from Japanese four piece KBB. This album does not seem to be quite as heavy as the debut which for me is a slight disappointment, but overall this is another strong all instrumental disc. Violinist Akihisa Tsuboy stands out on several cuts. Toshimitsu Takahashi on keys, Dani on bass, and shirou Sugano on drums are all great on their respective instruments as well. KBB is a rising star in the Japanese progressive rock scene and if you like well done instrumental fusion / rock you should check these guys out.
Tasty prog illuminated with violin pyrotechnics.......2007-05-22
Fantastic, light-hearted, progressive fusion romp. I love the retro "Mahavishnu Orchestra" meets "Happy the Man" vibe. There are plenty of cool grooves and melodies in odd-time, and a lot of variety in tempos and moods. The musicianship is top-notch throughout. The sound is decidedly 70s, but the production is bright and contemporary. The violinist is a monster, and Jean-Luc Ponty fans shouldn't think twice.
Incredible Fusion.......2007-03-14
This was the first KBB album I was able to get my hands on. I have never attended NEARfest, but missing the 2006 line-up hurt the worst. This band is AMAZING! I read elsewhere on the net that the song 'Discontinuous Spiral' is one of the best fusion tracks of the past 5 years. I would go further than that. It is probably one of the best EVER! The second tune 'Kraken's Brain is Blasting' recalls the violin period of King Crimson a little bit. 'Backside edge' has a killer bass run in it that I always stop whatever I am doing to listen to. 'Shironiji' is a beautiful piece, and a perfect album closer. Top notch musicianship... and this is only their second album! (Check out their debut 'Lost and Found' as well!) Not a bad song on here. Features: Akihisa Tsuboy - violin, cellolin & guitars - Dani on bass and guitars - Shirou Sugano on drums - and a new addition to the band, Toshimitsu Takahashi on keyboards.
