Best Tek solo album.......2006-05-26
This disc finds Deniz teaming up with Art and Steve Godoy (from the tastefully named "Exploding F*** Dolls"!) and not surprisingly this is probably the most aggressive, "punk rock" sounding Tek record to date. Supposedly the Godoy brothers tracked Deniz down by calling the hospital where he worked (Dr. Tek is a practicing surgeon) and this is the end result. Lucky for us, because this is easily the best solo recording of Deniz's long career, and probably the best thing he's done since the absolutely classic New Race live album. Word has it that Deniz used the Godoy twins as part of the one-off Visitors reunion shows in Australia; hopefully this means that these guys will continue to play and record music together. (I could use another half-dozen albums like this!)
