Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Great Effort, But Lacks In Keeping Your Attention.......2005-05-17

Celebrating the diverse, but surprisingly solid catalogue of Pluto Records is The Deadly with their latest effort, The Wolves Are Here Again. The Deadly is the sort of genre bending band that is all to lacking in modern day music. The Deadly combines good old driving rock n' roll with almost screamo vocals, taking the unsuspecting listener back upon first listen.

(...)The only problem with the album is it all sounds remotely the same and eventually kind of drones together about 3/4s of the way through the album. On a whole, The Deadly have done a great job at putting their own twist on the album and creating a listenable album.

5 out of 5 stars okay, first of all.............2005-04-28

why wasn't this record suggest by the marketing whores at Amazon and instead i discovered this at a indie record shop? Well, i guess that makes it all the more a treasure. Any fans of Refused a little disappointed with International Noise Conspiracy? Well,I found the band to fill the void. Fans of Refused, Converge and post punk sound (whatever that really means) will love this. I do. Explosive (dare i use such an abused description of a band) bits of screaming energy. Awesome riffs and timekeeping paired with groove and aggression. No, you won't hear this guy carrying much of a tune (on one song he actually doesn't scream through it) but you'll likely be totally okay with it. He's just pissed and going for it. The energy sort of reminds me of the Misfits in the sense there is this constant expectation that they are going to spontaniously combust or start hitting eachother with their instruments. fortunately for us listeners, they managed to refrain for 13 songs. KILLER record.
