Back in 1978 I worked at AOR radio 98 Rock in Tampa, Dane Donohue was in high rotation with Casablanca and Dance With A Stranger. Up alongside Steely Dan's Aja these were the sounds of time. Awesome production values are underpinned by top shelf sidemen and guest vocalists including most of the Eagles, members of Fleetwood Mac and Toto - Steve Gadd, Ed Greene, Jeff D'Angelo, Bob Glaub, Scott Edwards, Chuck Rainey, Mike Porcaro, Larry Carlton, Jay Graydon, Steve Lukather, Jai Winding, David Getreau, Victor Feldman, Steve Forman, Ernie Watts, Gary Herbig, Bill Champlin, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, J.D. Souther, Tim B. Schmit, Herb Pedersen & Tom Kelly. Sony take note this is a rare groove it should be broadly released outside of Japan.....
Dane didnt get the recogniton he deserved on this work........1999-10-10
Dane is a talented guy and didn't get nearly enough praise on this work. I think a record label would be smart to rerelease this.( dane is back doing construction work in mansfield, OH. What a waste!

Here's an album that didn't get nearly the recognition it deserved, despite guest appearances from the likes of Stevie Nicks and a couple of Eagles. "Dance With a Stranger" and especially "What am I Supposed to Do" are two exceptional songs.
